Dr. Russell David Hatfield JR.

I recently had a dental implant at Dr. Hatfield's office. I was initially a bit nervous about the procedure, but there was nothing to it. The procedure went quite smoothly and I was done in about 30 minutes. The only pain was a bit of a needle poke when I was getting numbed up. He made sure to let me know if I had any pain at all during the procedure to let him know and he would give me more numbing medication, but I did not need any more during the procedure. During the implant, I felt some pressure on my jaw while the drilling took place. Later that night I took a few Ibuprofen and was good to go. Overall, I would recommend anyone looking for a dental implant to give Dr. Hatfield and his staff a call. They are caring, compassionate, professional, and quite competent to get the job done right.

I went to Dr Hatfield for gum surgery. He did a great job. Would recommend him for any services you need. Also the receptionist and the staff are very personable.We are lucky to have him in our town.

I can’t thank the doctor enough for saving my teeth. I had sever case of periodontal disease that was un diagnosed by 2 incompetent dentists. During my treatment the doc at all times made sure I was comfortable. He is so patient with my 100 questions and most importantly, competent. He was upfront about everything from day 1. From my first phone call, to my initial consultation, to my procedure, Dr. Hatfield and his assistant Cindy were kind, courteous, and professional. All my questions were answered and at no time did I feel rushed. Throughout my procedure, I was asked continually to be sure I was comfortable and pain free. Issue with an unseen crack in a tooth that I received a root canal and crown. Discussed all options with Dr. Hatfield. Attempted to first clean out infection to see if it would not return. Infection returned. Decided since tooth was my last molar in the rear to have tooth pulled and not to replace. Dr. Hatfield discussed all the timing and options if I want to replace the tooth after pulling. If my tooth was a front or more noticeable one I would have opted for the bone graf, post and replacement. I felt very comfortable with all the procedures and professionalism. If I should ever have any issues that require Dr. Hatfield’s expertise I would not hesitate to call him again. His assistant, Cindy made me feel very welcome. Dr. Hatfield and his assistant, Cindy, put me completely at ease while in their care. While a skin graft is not a procedure I would be anxious to repeat, I would be confident to have it done again in his practice if it were necessary. I have had quite a few dental problems in the last few years. Dr. Hatfield has taken care of every one of these. I have had extractions and implants. Dr. Hatefield is the best as far as I am concerned. He makes sure you never have any pain or discomfort and his manners are impeccable. I highly recommend Dr. Hatfield.

I recently visited Dr. Hatfield for the first time, for an emergency tooth extraction. I was extremely impressed with the efficiency of the office and the care that I received. Dr. Hatfield and his staff took extra care to make me comfortable and my experience to be practically pain free. I would highly recommend anyone in need of an oral surgeon to seek out Dr. Hatfield. I needed to have a tooth removed and an implant placed. Needless to say I was terrified. Dr Hatfied and staff made me feel so comfortable that It was no big deal and I was able to drive myself home without a problem. Thank you so much.

I had horrible experience with this doctor. I had to cancel an appointment, 4 days ahead of time I might add, due to an unforeseen matter. When I called to cancel I was treated disrespectfully. When I called back to reschedule an appointment I was treated disrespectfully, once again, and asked if I was going to cancel this appointment too, since I canceled the last appointment. I was dumbfounded. I could not believe that whoever was on the other end of the phone of a doctor's office was acting like that to a patient. I asked who I was talking to, and found out that the person I was speaking with BOTH times was Dr. Hatfield himself! I was appalled that a 'professional' trying to run a business would act the way he did to a prospective patient. He was extremely arrogant and rude and very condescending. When I calmly and professionally question him about his attitude towards me , he acted as though my feelings did not matter to him. I am a professional myself, and would never, ever treat anyone this way. Even if I wasn't a professional. I have never been to this doctor before, I am a new patient. Was a new patient!. I do not feel comfortable having someone with his unprofessional attitude working on me or any of my family. Needless to say, I am going elsewhere!

Before a procedure with him my teeth were loose and shifted all the time, but now there is no more shifting and they are in much better shape! Overall very good service and results.

At 44-yrs old, I have spent far too much of my life in a dentist chair and have always had a high tolerance to numbing agents (i.e. it always hurts to some extent). That said, the surgery performed by Dr. Hatfield was completely painless. I’m not sure what he does, but the care was so excellent that i took my own child back for wisdom teeth removal (and that went beautifully!). Highly recommend! I had periodontal deep cleaning and he made sure I did not have any pain and was very helpful with my insurance. I highly recommend.

Dr. Hatfield performed complicated oral surgery on me that took nearly an hour. I never felt even a twinge of pain. Very good, Dr.!

What a great dr! I had a spot on my mouth that he had to remove and send out, he was very honest at saying he was not sure what it was and I am Sure that was hard for him seeing as he had my mom who died of oral sinus cancer.

One of the best doctors in Marion Ohio.
