Not only did I not get any answers, my insurance shows they never made any attempt at pre-authorization for the $500+ sleep study they did. In fact, they never even billed it. They make you sign a document at the appointment prior to the study saying you'll pay $300+ if your insurance doesn't cover it and then they MAKE NO ATTEMPT at pre-authorization and do not even bill it to your insurance. Lazy. They intend to bill you the $300 the whole time and then dont even bother with insurance at all. My insurance covers it, they just need the doctor to let the insurance company know why its necessary. That's just plain lazy and dishonest. Further, they charged me hundreds of dollars for a service I did not receive. As a matter of fact, I wasn't even in the country and hadn't had any contact with this office for months. I called about it and kept getting told it was escalated and I would receive a call in 1-2 business days. Was told that every time and never received a return call from their office. Neither of these issues have been resolved. Someone in the sleep lab side (not sleep clinic where the responsibilities lies) escalated it and it has been escalated to the CFO of NWM who I spoke with today. DO NOT GO TO THIS SLEEP CLINIC. I dont know of it's just this doctor and her staff or if its the whole clinic, but I'm telling you 8 months later with these issues not resolved, go somewhere where they actually show emphasis on patient care and not see you a $ sign. Dr. Abbot is very knowledgeable and after seeing countless other doctors finally got an answer to the sleep disorder. I trust her.
