Needless to say, when I was told that I had basal cell carcinoma on my face, I was petrified. It is essentially the one part of your anatomy that you are not able to hide with clothing. I was wondering if I was going to be left with a huge scar on my face, and that people would stare at me when they saw me. I am pleased to say that my friends and clientele tell me that they are amazed at how well my face looks just one month after my surgery. What can I say about Dr. Oyer.....he is knowledgeable, sensitive, informative… and made me feel immediately at ease. I left his office feeling very confident in receiving expert medical care for the procedure that I was about to undergo. I can without a doubt recommend Dr. Oyer and his staff for anyone that may be in need of his services.

Dr. Oyer treats my Bell's Palsy. He is thoroughly professional, has an empathetic manner, excellent communication skills and is a keen observer of the minute facial expressions which can be improved upon. Highly recommend him and his team at UVA Hospital.

He has performed two eye surgeries, a masseter nerve transfer and performed three fascia lata sling operations. I would highly recommend him. While we are still trying to fix my paralysis, I cannot speak more highly of him. He is empathetic, patient-focused, and a great listener. My family and I are lucky to have him in our corner.

Dr. Oyer is an outstanding surgeon! Very knowledgeable, explains everything to your complete understanding and did an excellent job on my nose!

My 18 year old daughter was concerned that her nose was growing crooked. We saw Dr. Oyer and found that she had a bone spur in one of her nostrils as well as a collapse in part of her nose. I was concerned about having surgery but when I learned that it was affecting her breathing I prayed about it and felt that it was necessary. Our experience was a great one. Dr. Oyer allowed me to pray with him before they went in too.
