Dr. Sean Reid Dunkle

I’ve been seeing Dr. Sean for 16 years when I had lower back/hip issues when pregnant. Now child bearing days are over I still go for maintenance! Hands down is the best Chiro I’ve had in my life. Dr. Sean takes his time with you and listens and has genuine interest in helping you. He isn’t one of those that spends less than 5 mins with you and moves onto the next. He builds a rapport with you and that never changes.

Dr. Dunkle has been a valuable part of my medical team for several years. He helped relieve headaches and plantar fascia. I highly recommend him for both small and big problems. He is determined to help no matter what is going on with your body.

Sean is the best chiropractor I have been to, and I have tried many, many chiropractors. Initially what I appreciated most is that he did not use the activator. If I'm going to a chiropractor, I want to hear the bones crack to know I'm getting adjusted. I had been going to Sean for about a year and I typically go right before a big event at my work. However, I had been suffering from migraines, dizziness, severe ear pain, sinus pain, and basically it hurt my entire head/face from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to bed (sometimes during the night). I was barely functioning. I had been to a medical doctor told it was virus at first, but nothing changed for 3 days (this was after suffering a week already), called the doctor, got on meds...nothing. I made an appointment with Sean because I couldn't take it anymore. I didn't want to do anything because of my pain. He was very understanding, listened to my concerned, and immediately went to work. He did the adjustment, put mint on my neck, and then popped my inner ears bone (apparently you have 3) in both ears. The next day I woke up and I was back to normal. I couldn't believe. I only had slight pain in my ear, but nothing else. I was in awe. I did go back three days later to have another adjustment and to have my ear popped again. I have been without pain for a week. I've been seeing Dr. Sean for years! Most recently he helped me with my pregnancy! All of his tables can be adjusted to accommodate pregnant women and he's very skilled and gentle while pregnant! Dr. Sean is great! He works to get a complete alignment - he is able to get the most difficult "outages" back in; he checks with you to make sure it is not too rough, pays attention, and listens - to your body and its reactions as well as to what you say.

Dr. Dunkle (Sean) is very good. He is very personable and cares about you as a person. He will work on your issues until it is resolved. I say this because I used to live in Davenport (Home of the chiropractor) and visited about 11 different chiropractors to try and get my hips in place. All 11 of the Davenport Chiropractors told me, "Yes, I got it back in place" and none of them ever did. I left with a pain in my back every time and they said the pain wold go away. With Dr. Dunkle, he will stay with it until he is SURE he has it in place. Dr. Dunkle is the only chiropractor to ever get my hips and back in place and I leave with NO pain. Not only is he an excellent doctor he has a heart. I fell on hard times with my employment and he knew my situation and worked with me until I was able to get on my feet financially. I can truly say that all of my experiences with Dr. Sean's treatments have been nothing but spot on. When I first visited Dr. Sean I was having repeated bouts of my L4 and / or L5 (lower back) vertebra going out of place causing severe pain and very diminished mobility. Dr. Sean was the first (and I had seen many) and only to immediately suggest an x-ray of my lower back and pelvic area. He did so because he noticed the muscles running parallel with my spine were different lengths indicating my hips were not level. Upon review of the x-ray he identified my SI joints were out of place causing my hips to be in an un-level condition which caused abnormal twisting or pressure on the L4 and L5 vertebra which upon just the right amount of my bending or twisting one or the other or even both would jump out of place. Dr. Sean adjusted my L4 & L5 and my SI joints back to their normal positions, & taught / instructed me to perform stretching and abdominal exercises. Today (first saw Dr. Sean 5 or so years ago) my L4 or L5 rarely if ever go out and if they do it is because I have not heeded the warning signs of my SI joint(s) being out. If I am conscious of the position of my SI joints (I can tell by slight soreness just below my belt slightly off either side of center) and seek just one quick and easy treatment to adjust my SI joints thus removing the pressure from the L4 / L5 I am good to go as normal THE SAME DAY! I would regret ending this review without saying just how superbly friendly and professional Dr. Sean and his staff are to me. I don't look forward to a sore back but I sure do look forward to visiting Dr. Sean and his staff as they knows exactly what to do to relieve me of my pain and get me back to doing normal activities. I have been going to see Sean, Karen and Jenn for years and honestly they are family! The treat me like a person and not like a patient that they are just trying to get out of waiting room and ultimately out of the office. EVERYTHING about Dr. Sean and his staff is ABSOLUTELY, TOP-NOTCH, FANTASTIC! You will NOT be disappointed coming here for your chiropractic care. I relocated to the area and had tried several chiros recommended by friends and family. None were a good fit, adjustments were worthless and they left me feeling very frustrated. I feel so fortuante to have stumbled across Dr. Sean, practically in my own back yard. He is TOTALLY AWESOME at neck adjustments and can even get my tough lower back done with ease. All of the wonderful things people have said about this office, the staff and Dr. Sean is absolutely, 100% true. This is an amazing place and you can walk out feeling so much better. The care is not gimmicky nor administered unnecessarily. Dr. Sean is great about locating the problem spots and getting a body up and running. He definitely knows what he is doing. Dr. Sean is fantastic! I have moved across the country and have chiropractors on each coast and he is by far one of the best! Everyone at his practice is very personable and friendly. He genuinely cares about how you feel and doesn't push unnecessary treatment. Highly recommend!

Dr. Sean is a great chiropractor. I have never left his office not feeling better after a treatment. He and Karen, his associate, are friendly and personable. You will not go wrong if you chose this man for your chiropractor. He will work with you and your back problems, and he knows how to use his training with the Palmer method. He uses other methods as well. but this is the one I prefer and the one that he uses on me. I like it that he is flexible in that way. I went to another chiropractor and felt bad after the visit, but I have never left Dr. Sean's office without being better and he being concerned with how I DO feel. I have been going to him for the past five or six years and sometimes every two weeks. Most recently, he has been concerned with my work and how this has affected my back, and I have seen him three times in the past week. He is excellent in my opinion and a 30 overall.
