About Dr. Sean E Markey
Reviews for Dr. Sean E Markey
I was approved for spinal fusion by Dr. Markey through my insurance and scheduled for Nov 17, 2022. One week prior to the surgery, Dr. Markey said my white blood cell count was too low to do the surgery and canceled it. 2 weeks later I received a letter stating that they dropped my insurance. My PC did blood work at that time and said my WBC count was normal. I tried contacting Dr. Markey's office over 1/2 dozen times, asking if he could refer me to someone else and forward his notes and the pre-auth and no one returned any of my calls. In my opinion, Dr. Markey canceled my surgery, because he knew I would need to be his patient for at least 6 months post op and that is why he didn't go through with the surgery. Meanwhile, I am in horrible pain, it has taken me months to find a new surgeon and since the original pre-auth had expired, I am AGAIN awaiting pre-auth from my insurance. I would have recovered by now and been 4 months post op had he not done this to me! Kristina Oldland
I’ve been a pt of dr markeys for years. In past years he was great, surgery went well. Now I need surgery again and we are having issues with my insurance. All contact has stopped they have taken over 2 months to get me a referral, they never answer the phone nor return calls. So disappointed I honestly thought he was a great doctor. But once they are required to do extra with insurance they cut contact.
He is an excellent surgeon and very concerned about his patients! I wouldn’t trust my neck or back to anyone else.
Dr. Markey is compassionate an takes time to listen. I have had four back surgeries due to a degenerate disease in my back. I have minimal pain and my ability to walk has improved greatly. He is a top surgeon which I highly recommend!
I agree with others that Dr. Markey and FNP Reed make up one of the best neurological and spine practices in the area as evidence by my own successful outcomes from both anterior and posterior fusions and a revision surgeries over the years. The reason for the three is the disorganization at the front desk. On Jan 5, 2023, I was prescribed PT to as continued care secondary to recent anterior and posterior C-Spine surgery. After I did not receive a follow-up status the following week, I contacted my insurance company and was told nothing had been submitted by my provider’s office. I contacted the front desk, explained that they needed to submit a request to my insurer electronically and was told it would happened. Nothing was submitted that week, even though the front desk reverified my information during the call (my insurance company verified nothing was submitted). I understand the office was transitioning from under Centura Health as of Jan11, 2023; however, I commented to the front desk person that it was not an excuse for continuity of care and there should have been a plan already in plan to ensure a smooth transition (this was something they planned not the patients who received letters several weeks ahead of this move). I followed up with this office the following week and was told it had been submitted; however, my insurance company told my that nothing had been submitted or was pending from the provider for me to start PT. I called the following week and emailed the office with the specifics to include what my insurance company said they needed to submit. I received a return call after I sent the email. On Jan 20, 2023, the office submitted a request for PT; however, it was not the right diagnosis/problem description. The provider’s office identified lower back pain as the primary diagnoses and the authorization was approved for that. That is not what I had surgery for in Nov 2022, that is not what I had 2 recent follow-up visits for and that is not the primary issue I am currently being seen for. There is still no request for PT due to my C-Spine surgery. I sent another email explaining this, what my insurance company told me, what they needed to do to correct the change since it has been less than 30 days. I even included the contact number, website with line item instructions on what they needed to submit electronically. I have also left several messages and the front desk has not returned my call this week. I am frustrated at this point and decided to drive over to the office today and there was a sign on the door for deliveries only. I left a message for the office manager while I sat in the lobby because there was no answers when I attempted to call the office number. They have the information that I sent them electronically, request to return my call to address/resolve my concerns. I am waiting to see if this will be corrected this week. Very simple request and fix because my insurance company said they will talk them through it within a few minutes. I am certain Dr. Markey or FNP Reed would flip out if this concern got them. In the past I have never had any problems with continuity of care coordination with this office. I don’t like providing negative reviews and will update depending on the response from the front desk. Again I have nothing but positive/fantastic reviews for Dr. Markey, FNP Reed and the surgery scheduler and want to hope that whatever is happening on the front end is corrected quickly.

My husband was paralyzed from the neck down in Dec 2006. Dr Markey performed upper spinal surgery on him in Jan 2007. He had a one percent chance of walking. After six months, he not only walked but could actually write again. After two years, he was able to play the piano. What a miracle! In Sept of 2022, we met with him regarding my husband's lower spine situation. He recommended surgery, so we scheduled it for Nov 2022. After six weeks, he no longer has pain in his legs and can walk much easier. What a miracle his two surgeries have been. We would recommend Dr Markey to anyone without hesitation.
Dr. Markey is hands down one of the best in his profession! Neurosurgery is a scary proposition, however there is not another doctor I would have operate on my spine. His knowledge both clinical and surgical, are a rare combination in medicine today. He performed spinal surgery on my anatomy in 2009 and 2014 cervical and lumbar, when I sustained an injury at work, working as a substitute teacher, I was relieves”d to know I would be able to see Dr. Markey. He Saved My Life I don't have enough good things to say about Dr. Sean Markey. Not only is he a talented surgeon, but he is also an extremely compassionate human being. Because of him, I am alive 13 years after what should have ended my life. When other doctors in the operating room didn't want to waste their time on me because I was 'too far gone,' Sean told them to leave...and here I am. Thank you Sean Markey! In 2004, Dr. Markey saved my physical life after a nearly fatal aneurysm and stroke; in April 2022, he saved my emotional life by getting rid of my searing migraines. I had trigeminal neuralgia; I dealt with the horrific pain my entire life, going from specialist to specialist trying to figure out what was wrong. I nearly died chasing down a cause for these terrible 'suicide' headaches. Dr. Markey made the diagnosis, performed the miraculous surgery, and I now am nearly headache free. He is my hero. Not only is he a skilled surgeon, he is an honest, kind man.
Dr Markey is very caring, kind and a great Doctor.

From the time I walked in, to when I seen Dr. Markey, to when I was done and leeching the office. Was truly wonderful. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Dr. Markey and his crew are great and knowledgeable people. Definitely recommend to everyone!
I have been very fortunate to find a physician as dedicated, caring and knowledgeable as Dr. Markey. Because I have a condition that requires regular monitoring, he has been my doctor for many years. I’ve met with other surgeons, but none of them have come close to his commitment and understanding of my complex history. Dr. Markey genuinely cares! I have been told by other surgeons “I don’t treat that condition”, or “there’s nothing I can do for you; learn to live with it”, or my least favorite response, “taking on a patient with your condition would be a waste of my time”. Dr. Markey has given me back my life. I am forever grateful for his dedication, and his sincere concern and compassion for his patients. I dread the day he decides to retire! I would not go to any other neurosurgeon for spinal surgery. Dr Markey is an outstanding surgeon and has a great team that makes a patient extremely comfortable having a major surgery. I have already, and will continue to recommend Dr Markey to anyone needing an outstanding neurosurgeon.
I highly recommend Dr Markey and Sabrina Reed. They are a perfect blend of experts with compassion. I awoke with NO pain after my spinal fusion surgery - and still have none. They were honest and clear about my options, the risks involved, and they worked with me to make decisions for my health. I really felt listened to and cared for. Surgery can be very scary. I felt safe with them. What else can you ask for? I wouldn't hesitate to go back. I highly recommend Dr Markey and Sabrina Reed. They are a perfect blend of experts with compassion. Dr Markey shoots straight from the hip and tells it like it is. He performed a double fusion for me and the relief I’ve had in my lower back since has been fantastic. For being such a big guy, I see Dr Markey as a very gentle, caring surgeon and I trust him 100% to do the best for my body.

In 2014 my L3/4 disk partially ruptured resulting in pressure in nerves to my medial left leg muscles and skin. Dr. Markey successfully repaired this rupture with minimally invasive surgery. However there was no post-operative care. Prescribed pain medications were completely ineffective resulting in continuous pain, no, I mean no sleep and significant psychotropic side effects. Shortly afterwards I became severely dehydrated and developed bilateral kidney stones requiring three medical procedures. My left medial leg nerves remain partially damaged although with time and therapy I was able to again walk, ski and bike. My L3/4 vertebrae seems fine. So an adequate surgeon and an unconcerned doctor is my experience.
I would not recommend this dr for my enemy! I had surgery by Dr Markey in October 2020. In January a few days after my brace was taken off I got sudden pain that was really bad. I had X-rays and cat scan done and Dr Markey said that he saw zero reason for my pain. Let me explain that the results plan as day state that there is indeed a new disc bulging right below where my fusion was and not only bulging but torn. So why would my dr say he sees no reason for my pain? Let me just say that my pain is 50x what it was before surgery and I’m completely miserable! Unfortunately the dr can’t read what the radiologist report says and can’t see from the images. I don’t recommend a dr who doesn’t know the basics of his specialty! The office staff is definitely not interested in doing their jobs! I am very sad that I chose this dr because now I’m completely disabled and will never be able to work again. Please find a doctor that is looking for your best interests and not looking to make a bit of money on a surgery. I would not recommend this dr for my enemy! The NP was extremely professional and helpful. I feel sorry that she has to work with the entitled brats that reside in the front office. So, a pandemic is happening right? You walk into any, ANY healthcare facility and find the entire staff wearing masks. Except This office. For some reason, this office has decided that it’s staff do not have to wear masks. Be it political opinion or PC bs that they have to adhere to (my assumption), this is an absurd display of professionalism in a healthcare atmosphere. Shame on this office for letting their staff not only engage in unsafe practices, but also be rude to their guests. Best be different next time I come in, or you can expect a scene.... Dr Markey is an excellent surgeon! My neck has been bothering me for years, and he has monitored me and helped for the whole time before surgery. When the time for surgery finally came, he made sure my neck was fixed and better than it was before. Thank you!
Dr. Markey is the finest Doctor I have ever had. He found issues no other doctor had/could & helped with them, even though it was not his specialty. When it came to his specialty, he was remarkable. For this I thank him for everything he has done for me!
I had back surgery here about a year ago and my experience was fine. Unfortunately, the surgery didnt restore my quality of life, but it did get me back on my feet. The surgical assistant is excellent and makes sure you dont feel rushed. I also speculate that Dr. Markey has good people around him. He is a busy person, but you can tell he tries to remind himself to spend the extra 30 seconds with a patient and is conscious of his bedside manner. The surgical assistant let me know that a microdiscectomy -- given my condition -- was a 50/50 proposition. Reality is a cruel beast at times; however, and I opted for the procedure that would get me back on my feet sooner, as I have a family to support. I am going to need a spinal fusion at some point when I can even begin to think about the cost again, and I would feel comfortable returning to Dr. Markey to have that procedure done. I am semi-functional now. I knew what I was getting into, and am thankful to his staff for making sure I was well-informed before weighing my options. I changed over to Dr. Markey after three unsuccessful surgeries on my neck. He spends time with his patients and after two more surgeries the last one was successful and only pain I have is muscle tightness which is will be discussing with him next week. Highly recommend him.
Worst office EVER If you value your health or have any healthcare concerns that need immediate attention DO NOT put anyone at risk of taking yourself or a loved one here... see another office.i highly recommend any other office other than this one. They have lost my records, horrible communication, disorganized staff that doesn’t return calls, mixed up scheduling, lost appointments... I had an appointment after having a traumatic brain injury in 2016 and a second scheduled follow up appointment made in June for August 2018 I tried call at the end of July to confirm my August 10 messages between the after hours service, Becky the receptionist, Mackenzie the office manager and Robin with answer plus solutions, the out of office voicemail, the online portal email and to no avail. No one and I mean no one would return my calls or messages emails. Voicemails. I’m throwing in the towel and I hope that if the Doctor is aware of this office mess and firing patients without knowing or ever hearing his patient out he thinks twice about his reputation and sees what one of his patients is put through to get an appointment before he terminated a scheduled patient without notifying them that he has done so at year end after they have spent 6 months of office nightmare just to make an appointment. Mackenzie told me today that the reason for the mess was because they have moved offices 3 times in the last few months I can see why!!! Patients beware. Do not use Dr. Markey as a surgeon. He is reckless and disingenuous. My healthy mother went in for surgery on her neck by Dr. Markey at Porter Hospital and died after returning to her room. Based on my personal condition, I have now had four surgeries with Dr. Markey, and a lot of experience with his office staff and team. I wish I had LESS experience to be honest. That said, I cannot imagine a better care team. Dr. Markey and his NP Sabrina Reed are exceedingly qualified and talented. They are also very dedicated to patients. Dr. Markey is patient, takes the time to understand and answer my questions thoroughly, follows up on anything necessary, is a straight-shooter, does not give up when answers are not obvious and also has the very rare qualities (in surgeons anyway) of being kind and compassionate. My Family and I will always be grateful to Dr.Markey and His team! He has given my Husband his life back more then once and recently I need to have my neck fused. Becky,Sabrina,Jessica and McKenzie have been amazing.
I met with Dr. Markey for a consultation and he was one of the nicest physicians I have ever met. He answered all of my questions and really took time in explaining everything to me in great detail. I never feel rushed or pressured. I felt he was very caring and understanding and gave me his best option of how to proceed. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing help with a brain tumor. Dr. Markey and his staff (Becky) and NP (Sabrina Reed) are by far the most extraordinary individuals I have met in the medical profession! True Hero's in my book. Amazing professionalism, Super Smart, Super nice and Super easy to discuss critical technical medical issues with, by far my favorite people in this crazy world of medical chaos! Thank you all for the job well done and making my world a better place!!!
I have a complicated set of circumstances and have had more than one surgery in the past 2 years with Dr. Markey. Whether in the office, on the phone or at the hospital, Dr. Markey has been not just competent but also kind, respectful, caring and patient. He has never rushed my questions, never rushed a decision and been thorough in explaining choices and risks to me. More than anything else, Dr. Markey and his team have been my relentless advocates when I needed that. That is rare and special.
I have struggled with lower back pain for years. It had reached the point that it was difficult for me to walk any distance. I was terrified of having surgery, and constantly looking for the right surgeon for me. Thankfully, a friend gave me Dr. Sean Markey's name. I had lumber decompression surgery four weeks ago. Dr. Markey was kind, caring and, explained what needed to be done to correct my problem. I am happy to say I would highly Dr. Markey to anyone who is considering surgery!

Dr Markey is a wonderful surgeon putting all his efforts in the satisfaction of his patients.
The best surgeon, God thru Dr. Markey brought my husband thru spine surgery #36, 37 & 38. Would NOT trust anyone else ever again!! Thank you, all his staff is outstanding.
Dr Markey is great. His new staff are getting better all the time. But a great doctor that genuinely cares about his patients.
I've had surgery to repair discs and thanks to Dr Markey my pain is almost gone. I've been in pain for almost 20 years. Outstanding service and wonderful people! I highly recommend Dr Markey!
After years of pain, cortisone shots, pt, and limited quality of life, Dr Markey fixed my L4-S1 with a fusion. After 6 years, I’m doing great! We think of him as the Gentle Giant! Wonderful, skilled neurosurgeon!
We trust Dr. Markey with brain and spine care for multiple family members with different issues. He explains things well and cares that we understand our options. His commitment to excellence is appreciated by us as is his down to earth interactions with patients.

Dr. Markey was very warm and compassionate! I fully expected him to tell my surgery was my best option. Instead he referred me to someone else for pain management procedures. It worked and I’m not on any meds. Someday I may have to go down the surgery path and I would definitely go to Dr Markey!

Dr. Markey and his team are outstanding. Diagnosis and explanation of my medical issues were exceptionally well done, and he made sure I had a thorough understanding of the procedures and recovery. Dr. Markey is an awesome surgeon! From my first visit to him he was very upfront and answered all of my questions, and my surgery was scheduled quickly. I had a minor complication after the surgery (no one's fault, my body rejected the sutures he used). His staff got me into the office quickly when I called concerned and the problem was taken care of within a couple of days. Every follow up I had with him he took the time to listen to any questions I had and answer them thoroughly.
Excellent excellent care!! I highly recommend this Dr! He's always there when I need him!
Excellent bedside manner. Very accommodating, got me in very fast. Caring and compassionate. He was very easy to communicate with.
Doctor Markey was very helpful and got me in very quickly. I would definitely recommend him as a specialist to anyone who is looking.
Dr. Markey is one of the finest surgeons and a great human being. His staff is one of the best. He has done surgery on both my husband and myself.

You always have to wait to see Dr. Markey or his NP but the wait is worth it because they spend the time with you that is needed to make sure all your questions are answered.
I saw Dr. Markey in 2015, and he was awesome, totally upfront with me telling me I would never have to have a multi-level Fusion. I saw him again this year with an update MRI and only after his nurse spent 3o mins with me, (By the way) never introducing herself (RUDE)!!!! I am now being told I need a multi-level fusion and would have to take of work for 6-12months, I just started this job, is he going to by my bills. Plus I have left messages for his nurse to call me back and I have yet to hear
I was diagnosed in June 2009 with a brain tumor. I was living in San Diego, California at the time and was 15 years old. I was treated at Rady Children’s Hospital with three brain surgeries. I moved to Colorado a few years ago, and a year ago, I had my fourth brain surgery to repair my VP Shunt by Dr. Markey. He is a very patient and understanding doctor, and explains everything he will do before, during, and after the surgery to help the patient. Thank you Doctor Markey! Recommended to all!
Excellent surgeon/Neurology Doctor. I have a brain tumor, was diagnosed in 2009, while still living in California. I had three brain surgeries in California: Diagnosis, partial tumor resection, then VP Shunt placement. Then in 2016, I had a doctor appointment with Doctor Markey to check on my yearly MRI review. He noticed my VP shunt was draining all of the fluid from my brain, and did a surgery to replace my shunt. Excellent and caring doctor/surgeon! Recommended to all who need this surgery!
I had not only unnecessary posterior cervical hardware put in but he destroyed my trapezius muscles in the process (burned on opening of surgery) . Also left hardware in the back that later needed to be cut out by Another surgeon. He said "someone was asleep at wheel during procedure" - Not sure if anterior and posterior fusion in lumbar was necessary but am questioning whether anterior part was necessary. Pain is constant, thanks doc for no response and no help remedying situation.
Dr. Markey is the best! He takes time with you and knows his stuff. Will not operate on you unless his entire team is present. Operated on me on a Saturday due to a holiday. Puts his patients #1. Love that! Completely honest with you and doesn't mess around. Answers ALL your questions completely and in terms you can understand. Glad I waited for him and was definitely worth the wait. Totally professional and worked with my neurologist. First doctor to get my spine and migraines controlled!

After two back surgeries I feel that Dr. Markey is the best. he is willing to spend the time to make sure you are comfortable with the procedure and his follow up is great. great surgeon and staff.
Dr Markey is the most amazing doctor in the entire Denver area. I had three curves in my back from adult onset scoliosis. He performed surgery that took away pain that was so intense that I was on extremely high doses of pain medication. He is the kindest and most dedicated neurosurgeon, and I owe a pain free life to him. Thank you for everything
Dr Markey was my surgeon for a C5/6 surgical repair and he was amazing. The staff at Porter Adventist was great and it was very easy to get in and out of appointments because the offices were right next to the hospital. This was about 10 years ago and I have not had to go back since!
I cannot recommend Dr. Markey. Five years after surgery I still suffer with lots of pain, just realize that there is no guarantee of success. I was nervous about getting sufficient pain meds in the hospital and he assured me that "I would be fine". I was in so much pain in the hospital that I started to pass out. He was "off" and not responding to the nurse's calls. I had to have my husband bring some from home. They will let you lie there and suffer. Consider yourself warned.
Dr. Markey is out standing! I have a disk replacement C5-C7 and a fusion. The procedure went very smoothly. I had immediate pain relief. I was able to leave the hospital the next day and my recovery went very well. I was back to work in 4 months. It has been 3 years now with no problems.

I've been a patient of Dr Markey's for several years now.I've seen him for diagnosis thru to surgery and follow up.I completely trust him to make appropriate and safe decisions for my treatment, as my case is not exactly textbook. When he doesn't know he doesn't guess or fake it (believe it or not, neurosurgeons are generally pretty egotistical and narcissistic and it's hard for them to say, "I don't know." Dr Markey has AMAZING bedside manner -- also unusual for a Nero!-is never condescending
I unfortunately am suffering from 2 issues an issue with my hip as well as my spine and after 2 months of being in excruciating pain and getting shuffled around from doctor to doctor and being told by some that appts are months out some as many as 4 I was referred to Dr Markey and so far he has been a lifesaver he took the time to review my MRIs and see that issue simply could not wait 1,2 or 4 months he helped me coordinate my care and gave hope when I was starting to think all hope was lost!
Sometimes being the "best" is not good! I broke my neck 3 years ago and should be a quad in a wheelchair but for the grace of God I am back to my regular life, but live with pain 24/7. I was told by my regular general practitioner Dr that Dr Markey would be a good choice for me to see to go to the next level of getting back my life and a life I wanted to live with less pain,. He also told me that Dr Markey was really hard to get in to see. I heard and accepted that and made an appointment back in Nov and the soonest was Feb 8th. I received the packet to fill out and waited with anticipation for the day that I would get to see this person that I hoped and prayed could help me. The day before I had not heard anything from his office so called and not only had they changed their booking system but had scheduled me with a Dr that had quit the practice and my choices were an April apt with Markey or an apt with his PA and that was it. No, we sorry it is our fault and we will get you scheduled with him. It was just like opps and this is all we can do which is nothing. Again, I'm in pain all the time so I agreed to the PA. I got to the apt which is in Parker and not close to my house and was told they were running an hour late. Again no phone call the day before to remind me of the apt or that day to let me know they were running late and showing any respect for me or my time. I at that moment knew that these were not the people I was going to put my life, literally, in their hands. He may be the "best" but who wants to be treated like you are nothing and you don't matter in any way to them. What actually signifies "best" when talking about medical care. Follow up and personal care. Forget it! Maybe you, Dr Markey, need to manage your staff or get back to caring about the people. They say that people work with other's like them. Again, why would anyone want to trust in you? Sometimes being the "best" is not good! I broke my neck 3 years ago and should be a quad in a wheelchair but for the … More
My experience with Dr.markey and his PA Sabrina has been nothing but amazing! I have been dealing with back pain for 10 plus years.. I've had 3 previous failed back surgeries and developed a foot drop and numbness and weaknesses in my left leg.. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't stand or sit without being in pain my back would spasm so bad my back would twist to where my spine would shape a into a "S"... My family doctor referred me to Dr. Markey said he was the best.. my first appointment was about 2 months out but his office told me to get a MRI done and Dr.Markey would look at it.. within a week I got a call from his office saying Dr Markey will come into his office early before his normal appointments to see me. So that week I went in early before regular office hours and met with Dr.markey he was very kind and was genuinely concerned about me.. he went over my MRI with me with great detail explained that we needed surgery right away for this foot drop, weakness and pain I was having. He answered every question and concerns I had.. he answered all my fiancé questions and concerns he had.. given that I've had 3 pervious back surgeries my anxiety was through the roof.. but Dr. Markey made me feel safe and I knew in my heart I be in good hands. When my surgery day was almost near my insurance decided to deny my surgery Kim the office manager was amazing! She kept in contact with me weekly giving me updates on the insurance company and she was working hard for me to be approved and she also filled out a half inch stack of paperwork my job required for me to get medical leave.. she filled it out got it faxed in very quickly. After we got the insurance figured out I had my surgery may 5th and I was a mess! I was having panic attacks and I was balling my eyes out because I was so afraid the surgery would fail and I be even worse.. I couldn't handle being any worse then I was.. Dr. Markey came into the room took my hand sat next to me and just talked.. I told him I didn't want to do the surgery anymore and he chuckled and said that's fine with me I can have the day off.. and I said you could go golfing.. he said he hates golfing. We both laughed and I told him I was ready let's do it.. and he squeezed my hand and said your going to do great and smiled really big.. During my long 8 hour surgery Dr.markey kept my nervous fiance updated about me.. he sat and talked with him for awhile... he really put my fiancé at ease. My experience with Dr. Markey and his staff has be nothing but pleasant.. After my surgery Sabrina would stop by my hospital room and check on me.. even after I come home from the hospital any concerns about my incisions or how I was feeling was answered very quickly and I was able to get in to the office within the week to check my incision.. This office is on top of it... I understand the wait is long but it's worth it. My experience with Dr.markey and his PA Sabrina has been nothing but amazing! After waiting 2 MONTHS for an appointment with Mr. Markey my husband and I went to the office and were told that NO DOCTORS WERE IN THAT DAY. My husband has been in pain for 6 YEARS and we were hoping to find some relief. Apparently NOT with Mr. Markey.
Dr. Markey took the time to discuss my problem and how to treat it. I appreciated that. I was a person not just another patient
Dr. Markey literally saved my life 3 years ago. He was my angel when I felt there was no where to turn because no one could figure out my rare brain condition. After a successful surgery I am able to live my life mostly normal, the damage that was done by the condition limits me in some ways but NOT Markey's fault at all. I was mm away from being able to walk, talk, eat, and live. He has given me my life back to spend it with my husband and 3 boys. I can NEVER thank him enough!!!
Dr. Markey seems great upon first visit April 8th even after a long wait, however the entire practice seems to lack in organization and communication. Even my spinal tap was a nightmare due to the lack of communication between his office and the radiologists. Dr. Markey Never sent the orders to them. Rescheduled twice and still ended up waiting for over an hour to get in! In the mean time sense my spinal tap my condition deteriorated, and I have been vomiting almost daily upon waking up. Something I was sure to let his office know when I called the office multiple times. The front desk just kept telling me the same thing, "He has clinical mon-tue so you likely wont hear back until later this week." and even got rude a couple times stating "All I can do is give him your chart. I cant make him call you back." I have reiterated how sick I am for nearly 5 weeks now, and called 2-4 times a week. Still no response. Dr. Markey is highly sought after, However his time and organizational skills seem to be lacking severely. That or his front desk is not communicating appropriately. I'm more than disappointed with the entire experience, and have sought out another opinion. After all this is my brain!
