He is a cut happy doctor who doesn’t actually listen to his patients. I went in as an 18 year old with severe hip pain. He diagnosed it as labrum tear and built up cartilage in hip. I got surgery done by him, as I came in for post op appts I tried over and over to tell him my hips still hurt. Come to find out, I went to see another doctor who told me I clearly had hip dysplasia. This new doctor told me that he had no idea why das would do surgery on me in the first place. Hip dysplasia is something a hip doctor should clearly be able to diagnose. He never once mentioned this condition to me. Which I later had to have another hip surgery on that same hip just two years after. He wasted so much of my time by being so careless. I have nothing good to say about him as I felt ignored and was not taken serious by him.

Dr Das and his entire team are very compassionate and caring. I felt heard each visit. His surgical skills are incredible, leaving me with a smooth recovery and even resolving issues I didn’t know were related to my hip!

Amazing Dr. And Staff is always wonderful.

Great surgeon! Always listens to your concerns and takes time to explain options with a conservative approach before recommending any surgical procedure. Dr. Das certainly understands the relationship side, always a positive interaction whether you go through a simple examination or surgical procedure.

I highly recommend Dr. Shankar Daz. Between Him and his nurse (sorry l forgot her name), The treatment and professionalism is so comforting. They take the time to show you your x-ray and Dr. Das makes sure you fully understand what your condition is. This way you can be assured that when you leave Bone and Joint, you will know what options are best for you. Dr. Das was very friendly and helpful. I especially loved how Dr. Das really took his time to explain my condition with me ss well as my treatment options. I had a great visit and his demeanor really put me at ease. I highly recommend Bone and Joint.

Dr. Das recently treated my 17 year old daughter for a surgery on her shoulder. Not only was the surgery a success, Dr Das and his staff treated her with kid gloves, made her comfortable and explained things so she could understand. The most organized medical office I’ve been to. The appt ran so smoothly and Dr Das is the best!

I’m very happy with the results of my rotator cuff tear surgery! Dr. Das took the time to answer my 6-month post-op questions thoroughly.

Through an acl tear, surgery, and many hours of physical therapy my knee is almost fully back to the way it was. Dr.Das has been there every step and listens very carful to every word I spoke. I will definitely miss this place! Only a year later and looking forward to attending a D1 college for rowing!

On the day of my surgery the nurses provided excellent care from my arrival to the time I left the surgery center. I was pleased to meet with Dr. Das prior to surgery. He answered my questions and made me feel at ease. Today was my postoperative appointment and the staff was helpful and personable. No wait time, very efficient. Because of Dr. Das, a skilled surgeon, I will achieve a better quality of life. Dr. Das reviewed the surgery pictures and again patiently answered my questions. Best experience I’ve ever had when it comes to medical care , all employees down to earth and seem to care about the people in their care a total delight from day one and would recommend them to anyone, dr das also a delight and easy to talk to and cares about his patients and is amazing at what he does

After two years of suffering with shoulder pain. I was told Dr. Das is the best and he certainly is!! He reviewed and explained my x-rays, shared what was needed. The arthroscopic procedure he recommended worked. I felt very comfortable . His staff was professional and truly cared. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

First of all those of you who are giving Dr. Das a good review are extremely lucky or I have terrible luck. In May 2016 he was supposed to be doing a simple joint surgery on my right hip. During the process he left me bone on bone and fractured my femur. For a year and a half I lived with excruciating pain until Dr. Moscawitz of Lake Katrine was forced to do a full hip replacement because of it. Which is why I am suing him. My advice is stay away from him. (Nobody is that perfect for a five star review) Who's he paying for a 5 Star? Dr Das is amazing he did my hip arthroscopy I didn't even need the pain meds I'm completely pain free cannot thank him enough and his staff? Just another bonus they were all amazing what a great experience!!!

Dr Das did an amazing job with the repair of my right shoulder repair, surgery was without incident. Care was above and beyond by him and his team.

I have been suffering such a bad knee pain. My Dr.at ortho NY , first did xray and said it's arthritis. Pain just got worse so he think P/T would help, so i got P/T twice. Pain was still there. Then he did xray for my back, and concluded i have lumbar stenosis, and send me to back doctor, more therapy and no relief. I decided to change doctor. And i found Dr. Das!!! He is absolutely amazing!! He knew what was wrong. He ordered MRI. My meniscus was torn. He fixed it! I have been feeling so much better now. Dr.Das is very professional yet very warm !!! Dr Das was referred by orthopedic and I traveled over an hour. He explained what was wrong , how he was going to fix it , what to expect and follow hip precautions and complete pool and land therapy . He had places to recommend closer to me for PT. There are few experiences in life that are far superior than even imaginable. Dealing with Dr. Das and his staff is one of those experiences. Although having been there multiple times I must admit - I’m spoiled! From office visit to scheduling surgery, info prior to surgery, the day of surgery and follow up are seamless. I am from Northern New York and traveled 4 hours for Dr. Das expertise. I will say it was worth every minute of the travel. I have never felt better in my Hip and recovery. His bedside manner and professionalism is top notch. I couldn’t be any happier with the medical attention I received.
