She listens... and doesn’t rush the visit. I’m grateful that she includes me in the decisions about medications and my own care. I feel like she “trusts” and believes what say... and there is mutual respect between us. She strikes me as very intelligent, so I enjoy our visits. The only downside is that I’m mostly scheduled with her Nurse Practitioner (who is very good, too)... and only see Dr Mac about 50% of the time- probably since my visits are just “maintenance” for my meds. Finally, VERY important... her rates are far below “normal” psychiatric care costs. She exists to help people, not to accumulate great wealth.

My first visit with this Doctor was amazing. She looked at what my primary doctor was prescribing and instantly made changes. She also ordered and looked at my blood work and immediately sent note to my primary doctor stating she believes I also have diabetes. She was correct of course. I feel bester than I have in 6 years even with all my disabilities. I thank god I reached out to her and made her my Dr.

She's amazing and for any negative post! Ignorance is bliss is all I have to say! People need to be looked at as a test subject if you are acting in an unusual way ths whybyou fill out the paper before you go in there and total up your scores she looks at you cuz she's helping you and if it weren't for the medication she gave me I was suicidal and if you don't have health problems making you this way God bless you for judging and putting such a rude comment that you obviously need more medications I wouldn't want her to see me in a state-of , being really upset and crying I would want to talk to her after she helped me and medicated me and I'm so thankful for her help and some people I think just need to find God in my opinion and then they would have faith and not put such a nasty negative untrue comment it must be really hard being a doctor trying to treat people's brains when they leave comments saying she looked at me like a test subject well I guess you don't want help DA!

EXCELLENT doctor. Very calm. I do wish she'd talk more, but she makes tons of notes. Extremely flexible with medication and phone-call. Wish I would have found her years ago. Always stresses that she's there in an emergency (but luckily havn't had one.) Lots of religious decoration that is sort of creepy in her office, but she's never mentioned religion. Extremely short wait time, only one patient in office at once it seems.

Did not accept copay amount. Hospitalized without medical evidence. Reported me to credit for $166. Unwilling to compromise. No more referrals from my primary care physician. Medical information shared with third party affecting help with alcohol abuse. A condition that did not exist. I still have these emails for proof.

I have seen many Psychiatrists. Dr. McIntyre rates at the bottom. She sits there and hears however she does not listen. I would actually cry and she would not acknowledge my distress, BUT on my very first visit within minutes asked if I wanted her to admit me to the hospital. (It made me feel like she needed to increase headcount on ward). I felt like I was a test subject every visit giving me a script for a different pill. If there were a choice for competency, I would rate her DANGEROUS.

my first meeting with dr. mcintyre was amazing. i found this woman to be sincerely interested in me and my concerns id had no success with her brand of doctor before and, i was anticipating the same that day. when i left, i felt i'd found my talisman. she was an attentive listener who took copious notes --smiling, gently answering my many whys, and assuring me my world still had a silver lining. now. i leave my visits refreshed, confident that i can enjoy tomorrow.

I don't know where to begin, other than to say Dr McIntyre may very well work well with certain patients, but unfortunately not in this case. Knowingly discharging someone with not only diminished mental faculties, but KNOWN dangerous ones also, after keeping them medicated so heavily they could not be woken up BECAUSE they were dangerous, not only TO THEMSELVES, but to OTHERS, then calling THIS CONTROLLED is not only unconscionable, but wrong in so many ways. NO to Dr McIntyre in my opinion

Dr. McIntyre saw me for the first time at a very difficult period in my life. My diagnosis, bipolar disorder, was known, but my medications of many years had become ineffective. I was suicidal and hospitalized for eight days. After only two months with my new medical regiment, I felt like a new person. I see Dr. McIntyre every six months and say to anyone who listens, she changed, no, saved my life.
