Dr. Shuja Yousuf

I was very disappointed in the service that I received from this doctor. He explained to me that I may have an air bubble in my stomach and then told me to come back in 6 to 8 weeks. I felt as if you didn’t care about the pain that I was in during and was not trying to help me figure out what was going on.

So far I would not recommend. I went to him for a second opinion and his only concern was lifestyle changes which I’m already vegetarian/vegan and work out with a thirty pound weight gain from steroids. I actually have nutcracker esophagus most likely which is a structural abnormality and lifestyle changes or even implementing lifestyle changes is impossible if the chest and back pain is not treated, so I am self medicating with a calcium channel blocker which is what is recommend for that disease process. Obviously he is arrogant and does not listen. I’ll be getting a third opinion so I don’t have to SELF MEDICATE.

They told me to come early to my appointment, I came 20 minutes early. The doctor shows up twenty minutes late, just to ask me questions about my health. It lasted about 5 minutes. They scheduled me for a year later. I won't be going back.

Dr Yousef & staff are the best with their care. Individualized and excellence in every way. They are the best at Merit Rankin. Larger centers herd you through like cattle.

I came to Dr. Yousuf really sick when no other GI doctor would give me an appointment for at least 2 months. The staff at his office are really nice and professional, from the lady sitting at the front to the one at the back. Dr. Yousuf was diligent about my pain and did everything on his power to get me well. Today, Just 4 days later I am feeling myself again. Dr.Yousuf is AWESOME! He goes above ad beyond the call of duty to make his patients comfortable and of high regards. He always kind, patience and thorough. Thank God we have him to care for my mom and her issues and we would certainly recommend him to anyone seeking a great GI Specialist. Thank you Dr. Yousef!

I cannot express how thankful I am for Dr Yousuf and his staff. Before finding him, I had given up hope with my last Dr after years of tests, being ignored and almost 70lbs of weight loss. He figured out my issue quickly and listened to me. He ALWAYS listens to his patients and shows genuine care and compassion. You never feel rushed or talked over. I am now on the right medicines and finally able to eat again! The nurses and staff are so friendly and make you feel like family. I cannot recommend them enough. This was my first time visiting Dr. Yousuf. I had been suffering emergency, painful GI swelling symptoms for 6 weeks and found him through searching for 5 star GI doctors under our insurance. The staff was 5 stars. Although they were overloaded with a packed waiting room the lady at the front desk served me with a smile and compassion. The nurse who took me back to the room was kind and cared about my pain. She listened to what I had to say. That meant the world. Dr.YouSuf was very detailed in his questions and very kind and listened well to all my complaints of obvious distress. He immediately scheduled a colonoscopy for me and told me he would find the problem and get this resolved. Great team and 5 stars all the way! Highly recommended. This doctor is very good and through. I went to him fir a second opinion l. He impressed me so I would consider him as my main liver doctor. He came across clear and direct. I understood him very well!

You couldn't find a more knowledgeable, dedicated, and caring GI specialist than Dr. Shuja Yousuf. It is from my experience as a patient of his, that his primary concern is for the wellbeing of the patient. His top expertise in this field is an added bonus.

Wonderful doctor!! Very thorough, does not rush in and out. Explains things so that I can understand and does a wonderful job following up with me. I am waiting on test results now but I know he will call me as soon as he has them. I would definitely recommend dr Yousuf very pleased

He's a very good dr. He listens & gets to the bottom & the source of your problems. I feel very confident that he will help me in resolving my GI issues bc of interest in his patients you can tell that Dr Yousuf is in it for his patients & in making sure they get the best treatment that there is possible
