Saw Dr D multiple times about lumbar back issues causing pain in buttocks, legs, and feet in 2020. After 1/2 dzn visits where he couldn't manage to make any recommendations I gave up and quit seeing him figured I'd have to live with pain. 2 years later I went to neurosurgeon who says yes I need additional fusion surgery. And that I'm worse but 2 years ago I basically should have had it done to fix severe narrowing of spinal canal that was shown in mri back then Very resentful I could have lived better the past 2 years if had seen a good surgeon back then. If Dr D didn't want to do surgery he could have at least referred me to someone else back then based on severity of problems I was having. So totally disgusted...

I couldn't be happier with the results of my surgery with Dr. David. He performed a lumbar fusion and a laminectomy in June of 2021. I was in the hospital for only 24 hours and healed quickly. For the first time in 30 years, I have no sciatica pain in my leg. Dr. David is a very caring professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of his expertise.

Aside the courtesy, politeness and professionalism shown by Dr David, he made the entire process comforting and easy. I went in a pain level 10 after years of back pain and came out a 0 after spinal fusion surgery. My life has changed. Also, the staff at EmergeOrtho were kind and caring. Thank you everyone.

Great doctor. He’s very good about explaining your condition, your options and the risks of each choice. Had L 3-5 fusion and I’m up walking with minimal pain a week later. I’d highly recommend him for anyone considering back surgery.

Dr. David has done all my back surgeries. He always tries every option before doing a surgery. He sends me to Dr. Hankley for tests and injections. I've also seen Dr. Shea who did everything he could before sending me to Dr. Cammarata who will do my hand surgery. My grandson sees Dr. Burnsworth. My grandson is autistic and has EDS. Dr. David evaluated my son and showed much interest in his case. He spent a lot of time with us and answered all questions. It was a great experience. I am a midlevel practitioner and know people who have worked with Dr David in the OR. He will be our first choice for any surgical or non surgical spine problem.

I worked as a RN for 35 years in Medical Surgical Nursing. I share this because i have worked with many doctors. Doctor David is one of the finest doctors and is surrounded by some of the finest staff. Everyone is thorough within their responsibilities. Dr. David takes the time to answer all your questions and fears. His assessment prior to surgery is complete not leaving out any detail ,thus giving a safe, accurate prognosis for a successful surgery. He uses technology with robotic surgery technic. Before surgery and after surgery, pain management is safe for the patient and explained well. He remains calm, speaks slowly so you can understand and never in a rush. Excellent Doctor

I so much appreciated the excellent professional medical attention that I received as well as the kindness and care with which it was given with Dr. Stephen David and his good medical staff!

I highly recommend Dr. David. I have had two separate spinal surgeries with him, (lumbar and cervical) and both have been extremely successful. I wouldn't go anywhere else!!!!!

Dr. Steven David is the best.I highly recommend him.He performed a fusion in my neck a few years ago and I have not had any issues with pain since.I have some issues with my lower back and he is going to take care of that as well.I would not even think of going to anyone else.

Dr David did my back surgery in January 2019. I was suffering from spinal stenosis of the low back and was in constant pain with trouble walking. After a five hour surgery and two days in the hospital I am pain free with no problem walking or standing. Dr David and his office staff are awesome! He is so caring and puts you at ease.

Dr David and his staff feel like close personal friends that got me through a very difficult time in my life. I was in extreme pain 5-8 24/7and loosing function in my right leg. Dr David performed surgery placed a disc in my lumbar spine and 48 hrs later realigned the already existing fusion in my lower back. It was not easy after both surgeries,(I felt pretty rough). After many weeks of physical therapy and hard work I have a large chunk of my life back after years of struggle. THANK GOD! Without Dr David and his staff, (did I mention that they are very kind and genuinely caring), I would not have gotten to the light at the end of the tunnel. Dr David listened to what I had to say and worked with me. His staff were there to answer any question at any time. I don't think I could have gotten better care if I was a family member. Dr. Stephen David is an excellent surgeon and doctor. I had to have robotic spinal fusion. I had been in terrible pain for 10 months and came out of surgery with no pain. I am thankful God gave us such a talented doctor in Dr. David. I would highly recommend Dr. David. Thank you Dr. David

Dr David helped to correct my back and leg pain. He and the staff are wonderful.

Everyone from staff to nurses to the doctors are very cordial, understanding and explain things at our level so we are able to know and understand any problems.

Doctor David is very warm, friendly and caring. I felt understood, listen to and educated on the best course of action. He and his staff are very caring.

I think Dr. David is fabulous. He operated on my back at Mission Hospital in Asheville. My only complaint is that he now only performs surgery at Park Ridge Hospital and I will NEVER go to Park Ridge.

Blue Ridge Bone and Joint in Arden is the best! Dr. David has never made me wait longer than 15 minutes to see him and the staff is wonderful as well !! Dr David is very sincere and caring. I was in severe pain from a herniated disc and he was able to get me in for an injection within 48 hours. I have dealt with others in the past for disc herniation....it took a weeks to schedule injections. This practice has there own facilities for this procedure. Great bunch of docs.

I had 2 previous spinal fusion surgeries before coming to Dr. David. He really tried to avoid a third surgery, but in the end it was the only option. My third spinal fusion was quite complicated and involved. Dr. David was very supportive and compassionate during the whole process from my first visit with him to my most recent post op visit. He explains everything and takes all the time you need in answering questions. His whole staff is amazing as well. I am very pleased with my decision.

I have had numerous surgeries in the past and some were successful and some were not. However, my recent back surgery experience with Dr. David was amazing! From the office staff, to the surgery and hospital experience, the follow up and knowledge/professionalism of Dr. David and his staff, it has been by far the BEST healthcare experience of my life and the debilitating nerve pain I had been experiencing for over a year is gone! I highly recommend Dr. David to anyone with serious back issues.

Dr. David is an excellent doctor. He explaine thing to were you can understand and his patient care is great. I had my back fused by him and was very please with my surgery and my recovery. I would recommend him to anyone who has a problem with their back.

I researched on line for a doctor that does spinal surgery. I found Dr. David's name and he was selected as the most safest spinal surgeon in Western North Carolina. So I made an appointment to see him. He is the most pleasant person to talk to and explains everything in detail so that you can understand what will happen should you decide to have surgery. I am 76 years old and I had a spinal fusion done with some other work to clean up the arthritic spurs. I was only in the hospital 2 days.

Dr. David shows a care and concern for his patients that is rarely seen now a days. I am also impressed how he utilizes the most up to date information and technology for his patients care. Dr. David never pushed me into any one direction when I was looking for relief from my condition, rather we started with the least invasive procedures. I ended up going for surgery with great success I am grateful to Dr. David for improving my quality of life.

Dr. David is very compassionate. He truly cares about how his patient feels and the care they need. He is an excellent listener! He never made me feel rushed. I always had his undivided attention. I had several appointments with him. He is extremely professional and caring. His staff are also very nice, accommodating, and available when you need them (email and phone). Very thorough, explains & answers all of your questions. I’m unable to write as much as I would like, so there is one sentence I can use to sum up just how skilled Dr. David is. 45 mins after coming out of recovery from an extensive lower back surgery, I got out of bed and walked to the restroom. My left leg is functioning better each day and I no longer need a cane. I’m sold on this man in every respect.

I have had two back surgeries performed by Dr. David with no complications or issues. In my experiences I found him to be very attentive and accessible, as well as pleasant to work with.

My first visit to Dr. David. I was impressed with his medical knowledge and compassion. He is an excellent communicator and listener, and seemed to be genuinely concerned about my back problems and finding solutions. He gave me a thorough exam and offered recommendations, including further testing. His front- and back-office staff were very pleasant. I had to wait a long time in the waiting room, but once I was taken to an exam room, the doctor saw me promptly and gave me plenty of time.

I had my back surgery on the 18th of August and I am so thankful for Dr. David. One of my girls that works for me her Dad went to him and also had back surgery and he is doing great site I decided to go see Dr. David and I Thank God I did. I'm doing great so far. Go back to see him Aug. 31. Very caring.

I hate surveys and online reviews. However, I promised my doc's assistant I would take this survey. Dr. Stephen David is the salt of the Earth. A truly sympathetic and caring human being. He took the time to explain all the risks and benefits to having the procedure. He personally called me after I left the hospital to see how I was doing-I was high as hell and don't really remember the content of the call, but my husband confirmed this actually happened. Go get yo' back all fixed up!

Dr David is the best listener I have ever encountered. Not only that he is kind, gentle, and above all highly skilled and professional. I would recommend him without any reservations.
