He is my grandmother's doctor and never bothered to test her for cancer while for months she presented obvious symptoms that a first-year medical student would have caught. He's either too old or too indifferent to still be practicing and should be avoided.

He was my grandmother's physician for 4-5 years and despite her regularly presenting very obvious indicators of cancer that a first-year medical student would (and did) catch, he never ordered a single test. Her new provider ordered the appropriate tests at the first visit and she was unfortunately diagnosed with late-stage breast cancer. Whether Stephen is too ignorant or indifferent, he should be avoided.

No problem with Dr. Rubs but his staff sucks. Called to make an appointment and they told me I was a “new” patient. I only saw him once and he told me I did not need to follow up with him until I was sick or there was something wrong. I called twice to make an appointment and never heard back from the office. The lady on the phone said since I have not been there in 3 years I’m considered as a new patient. Logic: 1 + 0 = 0. I guess loss of senses are not in their top priority. If I could give no stars I would. Dr Rubenstein became my Dr around May when I was discharged from the ICU. Part of my illness is a very deep painful body rash. He wasn't willing to treat the rash with medicine; he told me to dilute bleach and put this all over my body. I am 47 and have been being treated for a few things for many years and he took it upon himself to cut the doses in half or more in every case. Recently, my rash became infected. He said he would not look at it nor was I getting antibiotice to wash with Phisoderm. He even lied to me claiming my dermatologist sent him a note claiming I had no infection but he "lost the note." I had not seen her in months and she would never do such a thing. He also refused me the preventative antibiotic I need to take for honeymoon cystitis that has been my course of treatment for 3 years now. After him refusing to look at me, I had to go to Urgent Care. I had a bad case of cellulitis and was given oral and topical antibiotics. He didn't like this. It resulted in him terminating services with me. Citing no particular example in an official letter the he alleges, "Inability to establish rapport." He did this 10 days ago and I am just now receiving the letter and he says he will only see me in the case of emergency for 30 days, well 10 have already passed. I am quite sick and all of the other Dr's here are compassionate and trying to figure out why. He knows I am sick, and it's a pandemic. Most Dr's are not taking new patients. I am going to be without my medication and he is well aware of this and doesn't care at all. I was very unhappy with his crazy statements and treatment denial but wanted to take my time choosing a new Dr. Instead I am left abandoned. This man needs to be reviewed because I cannot be the only victim of his erratic behavior and prejudiced attitude and outright cruelty. Do not go to this doctor. If I could give no stars I would. Absolute fantastic Doctor!!! I’ve been a patient for about 4yrs and he’s gone above and beyond for me. His medical assistant is top tier, She doesn’t miss a step and is always pleasant to talk to, which is extremely rare in my experience. The doctor / assistant duo gets 5s ????

The very best internist my husband and I have had. We hated to move to Florida, knowing we wouldn’t even come close to getting a brilliant physician , such as he is ! A superb diagnostician and ,he had a personal interest in our lives, as well . He always allowed the time we needed

Well, he's actually my mothers doctor. She's is very small Hispanic woman, riddled with arthritis; she's intimidated by doctors because she's not very well educated. Dr. Rubenstein put her on several different medications for pain. The medication made her sick to her stomach, very drowsy, with worsening pain. The Pharmacist told her that one of the side effects of the medication was an increase in pain. When she told Dr. Rubenstein about her experience with the prescribed medications, he increased the dosage. She got to the point where she could barely function, so she discontinued her medications. She went back and told Dr. Rubenstein that she stopped all medications. He's response was, if you're not going to take the medications; then stop complaining. I would never recommend him to my worse enemy. Where is his concern for her pain and suffering ? He seems pretty heartless to me.

WORLDS WORST DOCTOR/DOCTORS OFFICE!!! If I could give negative reviews I would. This “doctor” could not care less about if his patients live or die. He does not belong in healthcare AT ALL. My Dad has been a patient of Dr.Rubenstein’s for a while now, and he doesn’t often go to the doctor. Basically just physicals and whatever insurance requires of him to be in compliance. Back in April 2020 my dad got VERY sick. So he did what any normal person would do and called his doctor, which is very rare, like I said. They said “the doctor will call you.” Never did. Waited for the phone call, never came. Tried again. They said again, “the doctor will call you.” Never did. This went on for days. Meanwhile my dad was getting more and more sick with COVID-19 symptoms. Days went by, he got worse and worse, eventually we made him go to urgent care because we had no other options. They immediately sent him to the ER in an ambulance. This was back when you were only supposed to go to the hospital if you had trouble breathing. He was put in the ICU. Was admitted to the hospital for 2 full weeks, on oxygen. The whole 9 yards. He got out and Dr. Rubenstein didn’t even know his patient ended up in intensive care. Now it’s the beginning of January 2021 and now my Dad got shingles. Called his doctor and made a phone appointment, never got a call for the phone appointment. So he called an hour after waiting for the appointment and he claims that he called and got no answer, which is a lie. My Dad was waiting by the phone the entire time. So they said “Do you want to make an appointment for Monday” it was a Friday, so that would be 3 days from the original appointment date. He made an appointment with an ENT instead and got prescribed medication right away, no thanks to Dr Rubenstein. Now today, he had a physical scheduled. Of course, Dr Rubenstein cancelled and rescheduled for MARCH! Over a month from now. Absolutely ridiculous. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR!!!!!!!

Great doctor. Very good at coordinating care/prescriptions with my specialists. Very thorough, and explains everything in depth.

Dr. Rubenstein is smart, personable and patient. Most of all he is serious about the care he gives his patients, but at the same time has a sense of humor. Warm hands too.

Dr. Rubinstein has been my doctor for 43 years. He is very kind and very patient. He is an amazing Doctor Who listens to you and spends time with you. He has saved my life more than once. You’ll never find a better Dr.!

Dr. Rubenstein is a fantastic doctor. My first appointment with him was for what I thought was the flu, turned out to be depression. He gave me some medicine and I had a new lease on life. Speaks volumes when you see a doctor for the very first time, he doesn't know you or your history and he can diagnose you as having depression when you present him with flu like symptoms. He is intuitive, kind, patient and a really nice man . I read the reviews on his staff and unfortunately I have had some difficult experiences, but those people don't seem to last for long. His assistant is nice but isn't very responsive returning phone calls. You just need to be persistent. The constant in the office is Tina. She has been with the doctor from the very beginning. She is an angel on earth with a huge heart. Years ago I needed an MRI. Waiting for the results was torture. I was told i'd have the results by a specific day, when I didn't hear anything I called the office and learned the dr. was our that week. This meant I would have to go the weekend without knowing my fate. To say i was terrified was an understatement. I called the office late afternoon on Friday and spoke with Tina. I explained my situation, she realized how upset I was and took charge. She made some phone calls, found some answers and called me back to let me know everything was OK. She went above and beyond for a stranger because she is compassionate and kind and caring. I can't say enough good things about her and I have grown to love this woman. If you're looking for a great doctor, go see Dr. Rubenstein. You'll be glad you did. Dr. Rubenstein is a fantastic doctor. The worst doctor I have ever had a consultation with. Called the on call hotline for a sinus infection. Told him all my symptoms and that I get sinus infections a few times a year. He told me that I am too young to have chronic sinus infections, which is not true, and what I have is a migraine. Proceeded to tell me that all the doctors that have diagnosed me with a sinus infection for the past 15 years are wrong and I should only be getting them if I have a polyp in my nasal passageway. Gave me no medication and wanted me to come in to go over my medical history and discuss why all my other doctors were wrong. Ended up in urgent care the next day with worsening symptoms and nosebleeds. DO NOT ever go to this doctor because if he doesn't even take a sinus infection seriously, I can't imagine how he would handle something more serious without killing you.

Went in for annual checkup no issues. Had the pleasure of getting physical by an internist in training followed up by exam by Dr. Rubenstein. I have been in his care for forty years and I'm very satisfied with all the care I've received . Dr Rubenstein also treated both of my parents for thirty plus years and my older brother for thirty years.

Great doctors in this office. Rude staff and assistants!

Dr.Rubenstein himself is a caring and great doctor that can help you in many fields but his staff sucks and they have a really bad attitude when he isnt around to see it. I was with him 6 years. I was on adderral and clonazepam. Both took me awhile with him to get on because I had to take ADD and ADHD tests. I was doing great. Better then ever. No more constant anxiety and fear from it plus I was able to work two jobs and my focus was so great I even got a job writing for on line news articles something I could never to without the Adderral. But his assisstant would constantly call my meds in late. So when you have been on benzos that long you get physically sick without. So I would have to pester his assistant and she would get furious with me even though it was her fault. And Tina from the front always treats people who have mental health issues like they are aliens. So I left for a new doctor and it worked out for a bit until he ended up on watch by the police. I asked Tina if I could come back. She said its hard to do but possible. She never talked to the doctor. So now a year later I called again because I dearly need a doctor who can me. Tina lied and said I was calling to much and she said that I could never come back at doctors request but she never talked to him and I wasnt calling constantly. It was a year later my 2nd call. If he knew she would be fired. I dont need that treatment and I was always respectful. Dont go there because the assistants will give you hell. Dr. Rubenstein is an amazing Doctor. He is the most detail intense Dr I have ever had as my GP. He is friendly and always happy to see me. His staff are very professional and friendly as well.
