When I decided to find a better doctor, he somehow found out & called new doctor to intervene! An unprofessional, callous, money hungry, terrible doctor.

Something went wrong during surgical procedure with this doctor. Doctor sent me home immediately after I woke up from anesthesia, despite problems (denied me to spend night in hospital). Bleeding and pain when got home. Then, I decided to find another doctor, but Dr. Shaban somehow found out about my appointment & called new doctor to intervene. An unprofessional, brutally unsympathetic, money hungry, terrible doctor.

I was a patient of Dr Shabin for 6 years. I originally came to him out of concerns of possible prostate cancer due to a slowly rising PSA. During each yearly visit the PSA was the only factor that carried the most weight, and during that time a normal visit would not include a digital exam. On my last visit he told me that my PSA was holding steady so he did not need to see me anymore. When I explained this to my family Dr. on my next yearly visit, he felt something and referred me to a recommended Urologist. The result was that a MRI showed three lesions with PI Rads 5 highly suggestive cancer.

I began my attempt at a vasectomy in 2019. I forget the exact month, because it took them too long to get from first appointment to the eventual vasectomy date. I advised them that I had a bleeding disorder, and what my hematologist told me I needed to do for major/minor surgeries. Instead of researching this, they made me schedule another hematology appointment, which are usually done through referrals from a primary care physician, but would not get me the referral directly. So, I had to book another appointment with my primary care physician, solely for the purpose of going to a hematologist. Once I finished the blood work, surprise surprise, THE PREPARATION WAS EXACTLY WHAT MY ORIGINAL HEMATOLOGIST SAID. At that point, my insurance changed, and had to go on hiatus until I regained employment. Once I regained employment, and they knew what to do, it was like pulling teeth just trying to schedule the appointment. The voicemail system tells you that they will return your call that day, unless you call after 3PM, then it will be the next business day. Do not believe that for a second. Every return call came quite literally a week after the original call, and it somehow took a bunch of these calls to finally get this on the book. Once you get to the scheduling part, you can pick between a wide variety of times such as 6AM and deal with it. Quite a mess for anyone trying to get their existing kids to daycare and no family to assist (hence the need for the vasectomy in the first place). That information was received by their office with the littlest of concern. Once we figured it out and had a plan set, almost a week later, their billing department called to advise that our insurance would not cover the anesthesia. I looked it up later, and apparently the anesthesiologist was no longer covered by my insurer quite literally 3 days prior to the day we scheduled the appointment. Needless to say, we canceled our appointments So, in summary, if you have the extra money and time to play around, use these guys, although you may still not get your vasectomy. However, if you are getting a vasectomy, chances are you definitely don't have the time to waste. Find another office. Dr. Shaban has the worst delivery and bedside manners I have ever encountered. The staff and facility is great but this Doctor is extremely rude and unprofessional. I was reffered to his practice by my primary Doctor because of some major concerns that her and I had. Dr. Shaban came in the room with only some results from a urinalysis and information that I had filled out on the forms. He walked into the room and immediately started telling me his diagnosis without any testing being done. Pretty much told me I was middle aged and needed to lose 80 pounds and sent me out the door. First of all I'm not that heavy at all and only 43. He never asked me proper questions nor talked to me much about what was going on with me. I was in and out so fast that I was speechless. He insulted me the entire time I was with him and I'm not a person who gets offended easily. I will never go back to this Doctor and would never recommend him to anyone. I'm pleased to know that he treats some people well, according to some of his reviews on here, but I can't say the same.

Terrible Customer Service! Lady check us in was rude and disrespectful. Talked with manager she had excuse for her rudeness did not apologize. Hassled us over money. Money Hungry place will never come back

Shaban is awesome. Several appointments, he performed surgery on me, always felt comfortable and relaxed. Great doctor!!!

I started my visits due to an ER visit back in July and have experienced quality care, professionalism and smiling faces. I had an episode and back in the office this week. I was able to get an appointment and his assistant is thorough and very kind. Thank you to Dr. Shaban, staff and the entire team at Urological Associates. ????

Dr. Shaban was wonderful and extremely helpful. He is very honest and has a great bedside manner.

Had appointment for 10 AM. Finally left at 12:45 after never seeing this doctor .
