Dr. Stephen John Wagstaff

This man treated my mother. His behavior was abhorrent. AFTER her appointment, he called up and threatened her, saying he knew where she lived, and demanded money from her. His services had been fully covered by Medicare and her insurance, but he simply didn't like how much he would be paid by that insurance. He is unethical and money hungry. Stay away. There are lots of better podiatrists.

Dr Wagstaff has very poor bed side manner. He is not honest. He claims to file with insurance, however, insurance co has no record of him ever filing. He does not have an office staff so tries to do it all himself. He is arrogant, rude, condescending and dismissive. He does not offer a viable option for recovery. I do not recommend him to anyone.

His custom orthotics are expensive and insurance doesn't always cover it, but he fixed the debilitating heal and foot pain I had for over 30 years. He changed my life. I highly recommend Dr. Wagstaff to anyone who has plantar fasciitis.

Can't really review the doctor because I canceled. Am reviewing the coordination. I called to cancel an appointment days ahead of time, but still got an automated call confirming it was happening. Dr. Wagstaff is a brilliant doctor. He knows how to listen, and then he offers a diagnosis, and it’s always correct. We need more like him.

I am new to Medicare and phoned Dr. Wagstaff for an appointment. When I said I had foot pain for some time, he literally asked me if I was from a third world country. His attempt at humor was insulting and demeaning. I decided I don’t need a doctor with that attitude and cancelled rather than meet him. He was rude when I canceled. I'm a runner and cyclist. I was having a problem with my gait and also pain in my foot and lower leg. Beyond searching for pain relief, I was looking for an effective and long term solution to correct bad habits and restore functional patterns. Foot and lower leg issues are very complicated -- often it's not an isolated problem, and it's important to have a very detail-oriented, holistic approach. Stephen is skilled, thorough, and is an essential part of my road to recovery and overall functional improvements.

Don't waste your time or $$$$. I went to him for foot pain. Spent lots of money ordering custom orthotics. Now my foot pain is WORSE and in a different place. Have gone in twice to talk him about this and was told I need to stretch my calves 2x day. Have followed his advice and no improvement. Sometimes the pain is so bad, I literally can't sleep. Just called to try one more time to get a solution. I was told he was fully booked through June 19th, unless I wanted to pay for a priority appointment(+$50). I did that last time in desperation. Until my insurance changed, I was a patient of Dr. Wagstaff. He’s an outstanding doctor and always addressed my issues (bunion, etc.) to my best satisfaction. He is cordial and competent. I highly recommend him and wish my insurance would take him.

I struck out with 10 other doctors over a 2-year time frame. I struggled with walking even short distances without pain. Dr. Wagstaff worked wonders, first establishing foot balance with an inset, then adding 1 1/2 minutes of stretching 3 times per day. Recovery was very quick. Dr. Wagstaff worked Magic on my feet!

Dr. Wagstaff is very calm and highly professional. I appreciate his attention to my concerns.

Easy scheduling, takes my insurance, sports focused, didn't feel rushed, knows his stuff.
