Stephen Gregory Werth

I have been going to Dr. Werth for years. He is a good doctor who is full of himself. Be sure not to owe any money due to a misunderstanding because you will get a poorly written form letter with your name and date scribbled on it without the amount you owe which turned out to be $79! The letter does not have letter head and I thought it was a scam "quitting" me for a misunderstanding. I was told I couldn't tell them how to run their business and told I should call the post office to find out why I never received their letters. Post Office: Could you please tell me why I don't receive mail from South Shore Dermatology but have no problem with all-other mail. The funny thing is you can't get out of there without paying something.

Abby has changed my life. She is so knowledgeable and makes me so comfortable. She even had eased any fears of medications, and has offered alternatives. I’m so thankful to have found this location. The only maybe negative thing I can find is the front desk staff could be a bit more compassionate and kind.

My elderly mom had a horrible experience with Dr. Werth. She was treated by him and then developed a serious infection that was discovered by another doctor. This doc sent her back to Dr. Werth who then brushed her off by saying she does not have an infection and said just go home your fine, you do not need antibiotics. The 2nd opinion Doctor told us that we needed to go to the emergency room and that my situation was serious. It was then treated by antibiotics and intervenes. We are discussed with how Dr. Werth handled this situation, and my mom is no longer his patient.

Very unprofessional! He is not sensitive to older people and billing practices are inconsistent. Stay away.

This is my wife's review: I feel it is necessary to post this as my experience with drs lately is that of money hungry businesses. This office represents a real doctor's office - not a business for profit as most do these days. I had a little skin issue which I was thinking did not necessitate an office appointment, and a high co-pay - just maybe the suggestion of a home remedy. The person who answered the phone said she would ask Dr. Werth to call me. In case he didn't, she searched the schedule and was able to fit me in at the end of the week. Lo and behold, Dr Werth called me within a half hour. We discussed my issue, he confirmed a home remedy and said if it doesn't get better by next week, call back and they will fit me in. This was my husband's first time and Dr. Werth was very kind and experienced doctor. We highly recommend him! My husband was very concerned since his brother died of cancer recently. However, Dr. Werth was fantastic and caring! Thank you! :)

Worst doctor ever. Completely rude and insensitive towards his patients. Prescribed me medicine that accompanied me with side effects, which I didn’t know about, that affected me my whole life.

My suggestion is which to Beth Israel or Brighams and women's if you have a serious condition..

Make you appointment with dr.werth and NO one else

A Very compassionate and understanding Doctor. Treatment has always been top notch for me. A patient first attitude. Dr. Werth is the man to see.

This was my first visit to see Dr. Werth. I was very nervous and he put all my fears quickly at rest. He was kind and reassuring with his very professional manner. Dr Werth is a very caring and wonderful doctor. He takes time to listen to you and answer any questions. He definitely saved my life 20 years ago, he actually found that I had malignant melanoma on my back. I was there for another reason and he suggested that he check me because I was so fair skinned and that is when he found it. I would highly recommend Dr Werth.
