Seemed to have difficulty hearing what I was telling him, explained I felt I had a stomach bug or food poisoning and he prescribed lomotil to stop the diarrhea (as an RN I know if there is a virus or bacteria you dont want to stop the diarrhea, I am also breastfeeding which is a contraindication to this medication). I told him I was unable to keep any food or fluids down and his directives were to drink more fluids He seemed very dismissive, his entire exam consisted of palpating my abdomen.
