Dr. Steven Alan Gorcey

I'm so grateful to Dr. Gorcey and to his kind, friendly staff. I suffer from a set of conditions that isn't seen everyday, and required an expert to diagnose and treat it effectively. Before changing to Dr. Gorcey, my condition had degraded severely, I couldn't eat much at all, and I was suffering malnutrition and dehydration. I walked with a cane. I was in a very bad way, and getting worse. Almost immediately after my first visit, following my new treatment plan, everything turned around for me. I stopped vomiting daily (stopped completely), I was able to eat again, and my quality of life has been steadily improving ever since. He also diagnosed 2 additional conditions I was previously unaware of, which need future monitoring, despite a recent endoscopy with my prior specialist, who missed these conditions. So, if you need expert care & diagnosis, rapid responses from doctor & staff, and kindness you feel the moment you walk in, this is the right place for you.

One of the best doctors I’ve ever seen, and I’ve see a lot. Very smart and pragmatic. He removed a neuroendocrine tumor. He’s extremely thorough and takes plenty a time with you. Highly recommended!

Dr. Gorcey is an amazing person. Not only on the medical side, but as a human being. He is not only caring and attentive to your needs, he goes out of his way to help, to please, to reassure, and to provide whatever assistance you need, WHEN you need it,..with a pleasant and friendly attitude, and with genuine concern. He takes your problem seriously and is always available to respond to the matter at hand. His staff is equally friendly and helpful. Most often, doctors have no bedside manner, or have a rude staff, or are hard to get through to (usually all 3). With Dr. Gorcey, it’s the opposite. He is such a source of comfort I thank Gd for bringing him into my son’s life.

I have Dr. Gorcey do my colonoscopy for the past 7 years, and I have a very good experience with him. He cares about his patients and tries to understand the whole situation around the patient. As an physician it is not easy to look at a patient as a whole instead of a piece of human body. The reason I did not give him a 5 star rating is that his operation has just stated and needs a lot of improvement in helping the patients. The office operation is a bit of off in that providing adequate information or assistance in helping patients understand the procedures they will be going through, a little inpatient. But, overall it is still very good and I am happy with Dr. Gorcey and his staff.

I was experiencing elevated liver enzymes. Without going into detail Dr. Gorcey treated me like a whole person and helped me resolve the issue through lifestyle changes. Great experience

Our family has been seeing Dr. Gorcey since about 1995, he has always been friendly, caring, thorough and very helpful in his office visits. We have been so pleased with his expertise, my son and daughter in law see him as well. We are so very happy he has returned to practice.

Dr. Gorcey is a top notch gastroenterologist. He is kind, caring, compassionate and dedicated to his patients. He will take extra time to make you comfortable and explains all procedures clearly to his patients. He is very knowledgeable and keeps up to date on new medications and procedures. He is a great doctor for complex cases and takes the extra time to listen to his patients. I highly recommend him.

Hello all, Dr Steve Gorcey has been my doctor for over 15 years, i had several procedures that were done in a very professional way. Dr Gorecy helped me with my issues,and followed them to a successful resolution. What distinguish Dr Gorcey in my opinion is that he really cares about me, he listened, explained and helped me. Today's doctors are so overwhelmed with work and pressure that it was very refreshing to be treated as an individual, thanks!

I’ve known Dr Gorcey for many years, and he has treated me and other members of my family. He is always up to date on new technology, traveling to learn new procedures or treatments. He has advised me on dietary changes that would benefit my particular digestive issues. Most of all he has a good heart and treats a person holistically.

Dr. Gorcey is absolutely amazing! As a nurse, I have worked beside many doctors in my career and I find Dr. Gorcey to be kind, respectful and extremely knowledgeable. I have had pain for three years and he is the only one that would listen and try to get to the root of the problem instead of just prescribing meds. I recommend him highly!!

awful! My first visit he completly missed the documents I had Barrets disease. When i told him he said "no you don't" and i insisted and he looked again and found the test. He is dismisive and terrible at listening to my concerns. He rushed you out of the office and lacks empathy and compasion. I was diagnosed with IBS since 2007 through 2 other doctors in his office. He told me he doesn't belive in IBS. I also called his office left 2 messages for him and he never returned my call. terrible

Very rude and condescending doctor; spends minimal time with patients; will not endure any conversation or questions that are not directly controlled by him. Would not recommend him to anyone, especially a loved one. Odd and almost laughable that his bio notes: "his philosophy is treating patients with courtesy, friendliness and respect." Completely contradictory to my personal experience with him.

Dr Gorcey himself was pleasant, dealing with his billing staff was a nightmare. I was misled by his billing staff, no one responded to my voicemail to discuss and when someone was on the line they just repeated the same thing over and over.....
