Dr. Steven K. Hoagland

I have been seeing Dr. Hoagland since I was 8 years old and I’m now 36! He is straight forward and gives the best care! When I had a cavity, he also didn’t numb me because he has the technology that you’re not being drilled but uses air pressure… Also he used porcelain and not that ugly metal. I get compliments on my smile all the time. And it’s because of his diligent care and knowledge!

Dr Hoagland's office was very friendly at working me in to make my appointments. Dr Hoagland himself has a unique sense of humor of talking to his patients to put you at ease. I appreciate the time and effort he and his team provides. I am a patient at his Columbus office yet he was able to work me into his schedule in Powell, was seen in preparation for oral surgery the next day. Dr Hoagland is an outstanding DDS! When ever I have an issue (broken tooth I have had several) he tries to get me in as soon as possible! He always asks if I’m in any kind of pain and helps with that also. Thank You for taking great care of my family!

I’ve been a patient with Dr. Hoagland for about 7ish years, maybe more...I’m done with him and his condescending attitude and rude snips. The last couple visits I’ve had, his response has been “we’ll talk about next time” regarding cavities and needing a possible root canal, but we never talk about anything the next time. His receptionist is also rude and unhelpful. Whenever I’ve asked for anything she makes huffing sounds and exasperated sighs, over the phone and in person. It’s your job to help the patient with scheduling and billing questions. I visited a different dentist office today and the service was above and beyond and they said that’s their standard service for their patients. I had contacted Dr. Hoagland’s office on 10/27 and requested that they send all my x-rays from July to the new dentist. They only sent the pano. When I called at the request of the new dentist for the bitewings, the receptionist said they only did the pano in July. I told her that was incorrect and that they billed my insurance for those, which they did in fact bill my insurance for those as the new office verified because they were going to do them. She then backtracked and said well I didn’t think they needed those. That was the last straw for me. I won’t be back to Dr. Hoagland’s office ever again. I really enjoyed being treated like a human being and not a bag of garbage. I visited Dr. Hoagland for about three years after moving to Columbus. I had never had a cavity before. While seeing him, he said I had a cavity before. When I went into get my cavity done he told me that he wasn’t going to numb me because the cavity was not that deep. I really had no idea what to expect since I had never had a filling before. Now a few years later, I got a new doctor and had to got a cavity filled. I was talking to my new doctor and she said no I have don’t have a filling in my mouth and assured me that I didn't and nothing showed up on my X-ray. I know I should have asked more questions but the experience was very odd and can’t help that I was getting taken advantage of for insurance money. I visited Dr. Hoagland for about three years after moving to Columbus. I had never had a cavity before. While seeing him, he said I had a cavity before. When I went into get my cavity done he told me that he wasn’t going to numb me because the cavity was not that deep. I really had no idea what to expect since I had never had a filling before. Now I got a cavity filled at a new doctor. I was talking to my new doctor and she said no I have don’t have a filling in my mouth. Great demeanor, friendly staff. Very frank, no nonsense approach, but kind and reassuring.

Dr. Hoagland helped me when i was suffering from extreme tooth pain. It was an dental emergency. Dr. Hoagland made sure i wasn't suffering long and that i was seen quickly. I ended up needing a bridge and a crown replaced. I know i could trust him bc dr. Hoagland is honest and will only tell you what needs to be done and never over sell because he cares. Then once the bridge and crown were replaced the pain was gone.He listens to and takes great care of his patients. Great dentist!!! Staff is great, Dr Hoagland listens and works well with his patients

Dr Hoagland has been a wonderful dentist to me. I've had plenty and most are decent, but Dr Hoagland has been a cut above. Sometimes it's hard to get in, but it's worth the wait and if you have an urgent issue, he's been responsive.
