Dr. Steven L Romiti

Extremely disappointed! His staff has a few bad apples who are arrogant and carry a chip on their shoulder. My wife and I were given extremely bad service and talked down to re my need for pain relief! Even though I was told by the Doctor previously to call for a steroid shot, I was told that I would have to wait for months to be serviced! The staff completely reversed the encounter and put blame on us---Dr Romiti took their side and decided to rule against me---It's hard to believe he would take that position without knowing both sides---I've had enough and will look for another PCP!

I was a long time patient of Dr. Neely’s until she retired, and then I was transferred to Dr. Romiti. I had one visit with him, during which he seemed annoyed that the nurse had called him in to take a look at my problem. I had a suspicious looking lump under my arm, which he glanced at, then dismissed as “a bump.” However, the more serious incident happened recently. I tested positive for Covid, and promptly called the office. I was not even allowed to speak with a nurse or offered telehealth or a callback. I was told that I didn’t qualify for any type of treatment, and to just let it play out. I wasn’t given any guidelines, information on quarantining, or advice about home care—just dismissed. I ended up becoming very ill with low oxygen, some trouble breathing, dizziness, fever, and severe aches and pains. At no point did a nurse or Dr. Romiti call to follow up or check in on my progress. I wasn’t expecting an in-person visit because that’s would have been dangerous. I understand that covid is common, and many people have it, doctor’s offices are busy, etc., but this was negligent and sub-standard care. It also lacked any attempt at “bedside” manner or even a semblance of empathy. After my recovery, I checked with other medical providers in the area, and they told me that I would have qualified for medical interventions, including medication, had I been in their care at the time. After my positive test, I also called to report my case to the Department of Health to help with contact tracing and mapping. The person on the PA Dept. of Health line gave me far more advice for care than my own doctor’s office, including numerous resources. The PA Dept of Health also called me back to check on my progress and see how I was doing. When the health department provides more and better care than one’s own provider, there’s a problem. I hope that Dr. Romiti will consider changing his covid protocol and implementing more compassionate procedures through his staff. Doctors set the tone in the office, and Dr. Romiti has changed the tone and treatment in this office in a negative direction. I do not feel that I received an appropriate standard of care, and I will no longer be a patient at this office.

Dr. Romiti and his professional staff our very compassionate people who genuinely care about your well being. He very well may have saved my life. I'm so happy to have them for my provider.

I’ve been seeing dr. Romiti for years, since he practiced in Oakmont. He is very knowledgeable and has excellent bedside manner! He takes his time and very attentive. He has personally called me after hours to check on me!

Had to burn an hour and a half of PTO time for an appointment, just to sit in the examination room for 40 minutes with no sign of the doctor.

I travel almost one hour to see Dr. Romiti. He is the best doctor I've ever had! He listens and works with you to get/keep your health on track. Kind , gentle with a great personality. The entire staff at the Trafford/Level Green office always make the appointment worth the trip!!

Hands down, the best doctor I've ever met! He listened to my concerns and addressed them thoughtfully. He spent 45 minutes with me at my first visit. Very postive attitude and compassionate. I have recommended him to others.
