Dr Shah is a beautiful and upbeat person. His expertise in replacing both of my hips saved my life and I love him for it!

Dr. SHAH VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. HE REVIEWED REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS FOR UPCOMING TOTAL RIGHT KNEE REPLACEMENT SURGERY. HIS STAFF WAS ALSO FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL.

I have always gotten great care from the drs & staff at slocum. They are just all around nice caring people. Highly recommend them.

Dr Shah did his usual fantastic job with my left knee injection, I have come to expect excellence since my right knee replacement. World Class

I have never had a bad experience w/Slocums or Dr.Shah. In fact this will be my 2nd hip replacement but I can’t wait to get it done. I wish them the best !

Dr. Shaw was excellent. I was early and was seen early. Tiffany is awesom as was the x-ray tec (but I did not catch his name… sorry). Back to Dr. Shaw… it was clear he had reviewed my chart and was well informed of my case referred to him by Dr. Lantz (who has recently performed a partial knee for my wife). He reviewed the scheduled surgery for me, my medications, what I should withhold, what I would be getting, and reviewed my labs. We decided on what meds I would be prescribed, made appropriate revisions and discussed why. I received a “hard copy” of the agreed upon Rx’s so that I could have them filled by the VA. I took the Rx hard copy to the VA without any problem, picked them up the following day. In short… so far so good. One comment that I have, that does NOT pertain to this visit… I went to the hospital for pre-op labs and studies. The Slocum front fest at Riverside was confused as to what lab or where to get my labs drawn. After asking several times a patient informed me to go to “Anesthesia Lab”… that was the information I could not get or the clerk was confused about. Regardless I went to the Anesthesia Lab and was well served. Dr. Shaw was excellent. I was early and was seen early. Slocum is a very efficient and competently run organization. Dr. Shah is terrific, and it’s a pleasure to have him attending to my medical needs. He has demonstrated his competence and therefore has my utmost confidence.

Met with Dr Shah yesterday to discuss a total knee replacement. I was a little nervous not knowing what to expect but instantly he was so nice and completely put me at ease. He went over everything with me. I was very happy I was referred to him.

The people are great, staff and physicians, shots were miraculous, I feel great.

He was very informing and he also seems to care he is trying to save me as much bone loss as possible and he had really great bedside manners as well that's something you don't see alot of these days

This will be my third surgery by Dr. Shah, and I truly appreciate his competence and caring, as well as his professionalism.

Dr Shah was very professional and there was no wait time. I have confidence in the care Dr. Shah providers.

Dr.shaw and the people working at slocum were great . If i ever need a knee or another hip fixed i will not consider anybody else to it, they were fantastic.

I had LTKR 1/13/22. Dr Shah and all staff that I have had contact with have been wonderful. I am doing great with my recovery thanks to the wonderful instructions I have received. Thank you to your wonderful team!

Everything at Slocum runs like clockwork, yet the people remain friendly and reassuring. Dr. Shah answers all my questions and explains reasons behind their procedures when I ask. I feel very confident in the professionalism of the staff at Slocum.

Did surgery rnt on my left knee. Went well. Visited multiple times in hospital. Scheduled follow up physical therapy that was excellent as well.

Great Dr very caring and makes sure that he answers all my questions. He takes his time explaining so it can be understood.

Dr. Shah is an excellent surgeon, and a very kind, caring person. I am greatly pleased with my experience with him, and the bilateral knee replacement surgery that he performed on me.

I have taken my teenage athletes to Slocum previously but this was the first visit for myself. From the moment I stepped into the building I was greeted and directed by their friendly, professional staff members. Dr. Shah quickly assessed my situation and I appreciate his input on meeting my goals for treatment. He answered my questions in a very clear way and made me feel at ease with the process. The staff of the entire Slocum facility are incredibly kind and professional. From the minute I arrived until I checked out, the next step was always clearly explained. I never had to wonder for a moment, and I felt my questions were answered sincerely. Dr Shah is exceptional in the way he communicates - I was there for my knee and yet I felt he cared for my whole person as we discussed the diagnosis and prognosis. I am so glad Amisha was able to get me back on the schedule quickly after the hospital postponed the surgery. I'm days away from surgery for the left hip. I'm so glad I have Dr. Shah. I know I'm in good hands, he and the whole staff are definitely the best!!

Dr. Shah is compassionate, thorough, & highly skilled in surgury. Dr. & his excellent team made my hip replacement a huge success. Dr. Shah did an anterior approach which spared me from more time in healing & rehab. I highly reccomend Dr Shah at Slocum.

Dr. Shah is the best hip surgeon hands down! He is highly skilled in hip replacement. I had been in pain for a long time but didn't seek surgery because I didn't wasn't to give up my passion of horseback riding. My hip pain got to be so significant that I wasn't enjoying getting on my horse. Another riding friend recommended Dr. Shah because he replaced her hip and she was now riding again! I called Slocum Center and got an appointment with Dr. Shah. I can't say enough about him. He listens. He explained everything from pre op to recovery. I scheduled surgery and the first time standing up I was free from that awful bone pain. I was back riding 5.5 months after surgery (and completing Physical Therapy) pain free! Dr Shah is the most considerate physician I have ever known! From initial complaint, to upcoming surgery, he has been totally focused on me and my needs. Never in a hurry….. took time to answer my questions! Never seemed rushed. He cares! Being a retired cop, did research, and found him to be highly regarded and recommended. I totally trust him! I've now had both a hip and a knee replaced through Slocum's RENEW outpatient joint replacement program. Dr. Steve Shah is incredibly capable, kind, caring and compassionate. I have not been anything short of completely impressed with him every step of the journey. Also, every single person I interacted with during my time in the Surgery Center was top notch. I had a knee replacement last September. Surgery and rehabilitation went well. I am still recovering, as I understand it takes a full year to be completely recovered. This is not a surgery to be taken lightly, first week is pretty tough, but it steadily gets better. I am now able to ride my bike on 8 mile rides with no problem, I usually get 8-10,000 steps a day in so I would say that's pretty good. Dr Shah and his team are very professional. Dr. Shah is great! He has replaced both of my hips and now we’re working on replacing both of my knees. He is very professional, caring, compassionate, understanding, respectful and calming. I have seen and worked with a lot of surgeons and he is in my top two. He listens to your problems and works with you on solutions. Dr. Shah is THE BEST! I had both arthritic hips replaced this year (3 1/2 months apart) and am very pleased with results of living pain free! I experienced post op wound issues both times as we couldn't figure out what was really causing allergic reaction. Dr.Shah and Tiffany, along with office staff, were attentive to my needs, spent time for dialogue about my recovery, and held my hand when I needed extra support. I SO appreciate their services! Dr. Shah changed my life, allowing me more good years of living my life to the fullest, and I am forever grateful! Dr Shah is wonderful. He did my husband's first knee replacement , then a revision when an infection set in years later, due to exposure at a different hospital out of state. Dr Shah is kind, listens to us, and addresses our concerns.

Dr Shah is always friendly, always listens, and is always excellent at what he does. He has been my doctor for a long time and he was my mom's doctor. She had two hip replacements which allowed her to live fully until the end of her life. I recommend him highly.

Total professionals. Very friendly and polite. Always had answers to questions. Very happy with Dr. Shah and his staff including the Physical therapy group. My experience was first rate!!

I was struck with the professionalism and efficiency which we experienced during the entire visit. I am relieved to have a doctor who will prescribe the appropriate treatment for my knees as their “deterioration “ progresses.

I saw Dr. Shah over a period of 9 months. (3 visits) Each visit he told me my joint was fine and I just had a soft tissue injury. I went through 2 rounds of PT and he still refused to order me an MRI after 9 months of not improving. On my 3rd and final 5 minute zoom call (for $375) I pleaded with him for an MRI and he told me my joint was fine, not to come back for this issue, and "at least I can walk". I went to see a hip specialist in Portland who ordered the MRI and my joint is not fine. I have significant damage and will be having surgery in a couple weeks. I don't know why Dr. Shah is so adamant he knows what's wrong without listening to you or ordering radiology to confirm, but I wouldn't go see him again if he were the last doctor available. Like another review mentioned, he only seems to care about hip replacements. I saw Dr. Shah over a period of 9 months. I'm sure he is likable, but comes into the room talks over you doesn't give you a chance to Express your concerns. He seems more concerned with just knocking out surgeries if you need referrals or braces for what you are in there for he doesn't want to deal with that but tell you to go back to your primary doctor who isn't a specialist in orthopedic.
