Steven N. Shapse ripped off my family and took their hard-earned money. He did not do what we needed him to do. He claims to be a forensic psychologist and expert witness but he is NOT one. He's just a run-of-the-mill family mediator. All he did was perform some unnecessary and unhelpful tests which was not what we paid him for. Furthermore, we weren't happy with his work. He took weeks and weeks to submit a report and it was lazy, inconclusive and useless. As we couldn't afford to hire someone else later on, we were stuck needing him to testify in court as an expert witness but he refused for no good reason. Do not hire Steven N. Shapse, he's a charlatan who will take your money and do nothing. He claims to be an expert witness and assistant for criminal defense but in an actuality, he's unqualified and will harm your case rather than help you. Steven N. RIP OFF - and the public be damned. Not to mention kids too. Dr. Shapes was appointed a GAL to our family - we paid an obscene amount of money - and he did absolutely NOTHING. If anything - he did much more harm then help. We could have used that money to put a kid through college. Also - we paid for a certain amount of visits which we did NOT use. Never saw one dime back from Dr. Shapse. It is disgusting what the courts put families through during a divorce - it should be easy and NOT dragged out by lawyers and shrinks. They make a fortune - AND -- the poor kids in the family suffer. Warning - if your family needs help - I would try a moderator. This is not the way to go. RIP OFF - and the public be damned.
