Well, I finally decided to take my husband's advice and give Dr. Schuster's office a try because I was growing weary of driving an hour to my old hometown dentist. Why did I wait so long to make the switch?? My hygienist was so thorough; my teeth sparkled more than they have in years. The receptionist is wonderful. I went in for a few fillings today, and it was honestly the most pleasant filling procedure I've ever experienced... I am sporting a mouthful of fillings I've acquired from several dentists over the years, so that says a lot. Dr. Schuster works fast, but he is thorough! He also has a great sense of humor which helps you to feel at ease. I would recommend Dr. Schuster and his staff to anyone. Dr. Shuster was a complete d*ck to me and my son today. Apparently, he is a just a “general dentist,” so how dare I bring my little son there. Maybe if his hygienist Rhonda actually knew how to work with children, my son would have been more cooperative. Children need to be worked with slowly and patiently with a nice, calm person, not a rush, rush, rush, abrasive type of person. Funny, Hygienist Barb never had any issues with my daughter for the past 8 years we’ve been going there! Barb was the kindest, gentlest, most AMAZING person at that practice, and now, sadly, she is no longer there. The attitude there today was, “Well, he won’t like it, so we won’t even try it,” yet you bet my insurance company would be billed for a full cleaning despite him not receiving one. Two years ago they billed my insurance the full amount when my little son did nothing more than sit in the chair for maybe 5 minutes...no cleaning or anything. This practice “gave up” much too easily today...to not even use toothpaste on him? At some point the child needs to get his teeth FULLY cleaned. It did not even feel like they wanted us there today with the way this lady was acting...like she did not even want to try to do things before giving up. She gave up on my son before she had even really started. And if they were so sure they could not treat my little son, why not just send us elsewhere in the first place? DO NOT WASTE MY TIME. Honestly, Barb was the only genuinely NICE person at that practice in the whole ten years plus I’ve been going there. Dr. Shuster used to be nice; I’m not sure what possessed him today to be so nasty to me...having mega attitude and talking to me as if I am stupid and outrageous; that’s not how you speak to a patient of 10 years plus. My son and I were not the problem; his employee was. I wish Barb still worked there. But whatever; we will not come where we are not wanted. BYE! Dr. Shuster is amazing. I refuse to see any other dentist and truly hope that he is, in fact, immortal, so that I can continue to enjoy the comfort of knowing that he is able to do incredible work with a professional warmth, that I had yet seen in a dentist, until and into my next incarnation. One thing in particular that I appreciate is his openness to sharing and educating his patients above and beyond what one would expect from such a justifiably-busy professional. I have shown up with rather... embarrassing... cosmetic damage that had me literally unwilling to give a genuine smile for months. Because of the awesome prior experience that I had with his office, I returned for a series of appointments that have restored my smile and confidence. Dr. Shuster is a an amazing dentist! He is fast, through the work but gentle and caring. His office staff are the best. Always friendly and helpful! Just the best!

Dr. Shuster has been my family’s dentist for over 30 years. He and his staff are excellent.

I have been going to Dr Shuster for 40 years and my husband and kids have been seeing him for 20ish years. We are all very happy with the care we get there. They are all super professional and conscientious and would highly recommend this office to anyone!

I've been a patient of Dr. Shuster for 38 years (since he became my father). Dr. Shuster's office treats his patients like family (which is convenient because I am his son). He has had numerous opportunities to exact retribution upon me while I was at my most defenseless (with my mouth open in his chair and a drill in his hand), but he has left me completely unharmed and without pain. Dr. Schuster and his entire staff are professional and friendly! He takes the time to have conversations with you and explain everything. He never seems rushed. The office is very clean and organized. He is truly the best dentist I have ever been to!!

Myself and my 3 kids go here for our dental needs. The whole office is beyond awesome. Very friendly people. Dr. Shuster is great. He always comes out and talks with me about my kids and what they can do to improve their dental health. I have never felt more comfortable when going to a dentist.

We’ve been with Dr. Shuster for years. Everyone is kind and thorough in their work. They are great with kids too! My son loves the little play area and his choice from the prize box at the end of his visit! There’s also a no cavity board for kids to write on to promote healthy oral hygiene habits!

Great dentist! Have been coming here for more than 10 years now. Very painless and does a great job. Also Sharon is the dental hygienist that I use and she is really good and does a great job too. Wouldn’t think of going anywhere else.

Dr. Shuster has the friendliest & most professional staff! I’ve been going for years and my twin girls have been going since they were 4 are are now almost 14! Dr. Shuster’s appointments always run on time, very minimal waiting. Also, he cracks the BEST jokes!! 10/10, 100% love this dental office!!

Quick, painless, and very nice people. They didn't even give me any time to have anxiety, I was in and out and they were just so nice. You can tell that Dr. Shuster loves his job by the way he handles his patients. Had I known dental care could be this quick and worry free, I wouldn't have put it off for so long.

Dr. Shuster has been my dentist ever since I started going to the dentist! I always get the best compliments on my smile and I of course have to thanks my parents for good genetics and hygiene practices. But the majority of the credit goes towards Dr. Shu!! He’s helped repair a few chipped teeth over the years and always keeps a close eye on the overall health of my teeth. Not to mention the staff is also super friendly and genuinely interested in hearing about the lives of their patients. Just as myself, most of, if not all, have been with him in his practice for a very long time. Lastly, the office is centrally located in Livonia and is a nice facility. Thanks for everything!! I have never had a bad experience with Dr Shuster or his staff. Mara has been not only my hygienist but has cleaned my (now grown) sons’ teeth since they were little boys. Dr. Shuster always discusses treatments and options with you in a way that is easy to understand. He takes patient cost into account and gives choices within budget if you don’t have insurance.
