I am absolutely appalled at the behavior allowed in this dental practice! Diana who is an assistant here in this practice, is the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered in my dental career. To make a financial assumption about a patient is terrible. Shame on you Diana for your behavior. Your doctor needs to be aware of who is representing HIS practice. For you to openly admit to another dental professional that YOU, an assistant are diagnosing treatment and with NO X-rays… malpractice much? Dental assistants are NOT qualified to diagnose treatment on any level in the state of California or any other state. Future patients beware! Diana told my sister she would need “gum surgery” which would cost $5k yet had no X-rays to diagnose this “surgery” she needed and gave her NO treatment plan or treatment estimate in writing. This guy calls himself a dentist; I wouldn't take my dog to him! The first and last I will never go back to him again! I walked in. Introduced himself then said, "You have to pay up front $345.00". I gave him my credit card; processed and signed. Then to the treatment room where he numbs my gums. Then he examines my mouth saying very little. Then his wife, dental assistant, secretary comes in to assist with the suction tube. A regular chatter box. She's in my ear talking about implants. I've never been in so much pain. The next visit two weeks later I go in for the next half of my mouth to be cleaned and he wants to extract teeth. We didn't talk about this! He walks out of the treatment room. Of the $11,860.00 I got $9,716.00 back with no break down of the costs. I had to write a letter asking for a break down. $816.00 per quadrant $1,632.00 unheard of $250.00 for ex-rays; $450.00 consultation. What how to brush my teeth! Very poor dentist. Now I'm fighting with my regular dentist!
