Steven Yang

After going through a really bad car accident and being abroad, I was unable to find a wrist doctor. By the time I had gotten back to the US, 4 months have passed. Doctors back in Malta had misdiagnosed how severe my break was so I thought it would be okay to wait. After getting back to the US and seeing a few wrist specialist, i managed to get squeezed into Dr. Yang’s very busy schedule. He sent me to get a ct scan the same day, something i was unable to do with other doctors due to the way the system was set up. The prognosis was not good. I was worried but Dr. Yang called and answered all my questions. His level of empathy is unlike any surgeons I have come across. I had the procedure on oct 27 and a few weeks later, I went to OT. I am in Connecticut so i was unable to get it at NYU. This was a very hard surgery due to many fragments of bone healing together incorrectly but Dr. Yang and Kayla his PA are both really great and did an amazing job. You need a great surgeon and great therapy to get the maximum range of motion you can get. I was lucky to have him and his team. Warmly Cornato Vella

I went to Dr. Yang with a problem with my left pinky. I thought, after having plugged my issue into the Internet, that it could be trigger finger. He was very quick to diagnose and to see me 2 times, giving me cortisone shots each time with 3 weeks in between. After the 1st cortisone shot did not work and i expressed concern that the shot seemed to hurt more than help, he was cavalier. The second shot did not work and the next course of action as per Dr. Yang was surgery. I got a second opinion and it turns out that it is not trigger finger. The 2nd hand doctor properly diagnosed it after 10 minutes. I foind Dr. Yang to be cavalier when I pushed and simply wrong in his diagnosis. He even told me that this injury was no big deal. It was a very big deal to me, preventing me from biking, exercising and even cooking. Beware.

Dr Yang is really patient and careful. He gave me thorough examination and diagnosis. I was looking for a second opinion and he explained to me pros and cons of each treatment option. I really appreciate the patience he had.

Dr Yang was very helpful, professional, thorough and caring. He explained everything very completely and answered every question and concern I had. His staff were also very helpful, professional and polite. I only wish I could have had my surgery with him. UCI turned to PPO only 3 weeks after I had my office visit with him. I highly recommend Dr Steven Yang~!

Dr.Yang is very very good. He explained the details of procedure prior to surgery. So I was very comfortable. He is a really professional!

Dr Yang is highly skilled and compassionate The two best skills for a surgeon. Had surgery this past week and doing great. He explained everything in detail and made me feel very comfortable. His staff was great and felt like I was in the best care. The hospital called me the next day and Dr Yang the day after to make sure I was doing well. HIGHLY recommend. I love it that there are smart people out there to put me back together

I’ve gone to Dr. Yang twice. The first time he diagnosed me with De Quervain and he performed a quick surgery on my wrist which solved the problem. (I had gone to a different doctor before and had been going to physical therapy with no improvement.) I was pregnant at the time and Dr. Yang explained everything, answered all my questions and the surgery went well. About 7 or 8 months later, I started to have pain on my hand. This wasn’t due to the surgery. Had to do with my hand and arm position during sleeping. He had a device made for me which I would wear when I’m sleeping and told me to keep wearing it for a month. The device took about 1/2 an hour to make, at another building close by and to be honest, I was really skeptical. After a month, I took it off and my hand is great! It’s been about 2 years now and no problems with my wrist or hand. I highly recommend Dr. Yang. Thank you Dr. Yang! I’ve gone to Dr. Yang twice.
