Doctor was thorough and explain the condition well.

I was a new patient with Dr. Easwaran and I had a very disappointing experience. Throughout my appointment she seemed incredibly distracted and repeated questions to me multiple times that I had already answered. As a new patient I would've appreciated her full attention. Overall there was a lot of judgement coming from her. Specifically in regards to my activity level. I normally exercise every day for at least 30 minutes, this week I had been a little under the weather and hadn't stuck to my regular routine. When I told her this she said that I needed to be exercising for an hour every single day regardless of how I feel. She said that I need to be doing this even though she doesn't think I am overweight. I found this conversation to be very disheartening and I will be looking at other physicians with Kaiser. Dr. Easwaran is the best Primary Care doctor I have had and my previous Primary was listed in Washingtonian magazine's list of Best Doctors! She has been my primary care MD for more than 5 years. When I started with her, she put me through a series of blood tests that allowed me to get my medications into the proper range. She took me off of a blood pressure medication when she realized I no longer needed it. She LISTENS carefully to why I am there. On multiple occasions, she researched my issues and came up with a diagnosis I didn't expect. She has a great memory so when I arrive she remembers exactly what my history is and I feel like there has been no break in time between visits. Last of all, she has excellent interpersonal skills. I feel like she cares about me as a person!
