I am deeply disappointed in the level of communication of Gilman and her group, which is negligible at best. I have canceled all future appointments with this group.

Maybe this was my mistake, actually expecting a psychiatrist to have any sort of bedside manner or care for patient well-being, but I would've been better served sharing my issues with Mr. Potato Head. During my first visit, I did my best to be open and share the issues I have been dealing with after a very tough year, and I felt no compassion or even interest from this doctor, who rather than offering her own thoughts, simply told me that I might benefit from therapy and then blankly stared at me and asked me if there was anything else I'd like to share because I still had some time left. Believe it or not, I didn't have anything else to say to the woman who blankly stared at me after I bared my soul. Shocking. Still, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and returned for a follow-up visit after having been on new medication for a month and received the same underwhelming "care". I was excited to finally get into a practice that takes insurance, but I will not be returning.

Excellent physician. Very knowledgeable regarding older adult (geriatric) psychiatry.
