Dr. Susan E. Mahoney

Dr Mahoney is clearly works on a fee for service basis. She made frivolous referrals and caused unneeded alarm in something the specialist deemed completely unnecessary. I spoke to several other parents and they all had the same experience. She wanted to take my doctor off her mental health professional and just deal with it herself, saying she was insulted that the office would’ve referred her to someone else instead of her. After a follow up from the 3rd referral for my children she didn’t realize it wasn’t a regular checkup and was venting about how no one appreciated her and was very angry that the office was closing. I mentioned the referral, the visit she argued with me about sending my child for something I thought was unnecessary, and didn’t even care about what happened at the visit. I’ve never experienced something like this with a doctor before, it was incredibly bothersome. She may be right every rare once in a while but she wasn’t referring out of concern for your child.

She is never going to misguide you she’ll always refer another opinion in order to ensure the best possible care is given. She has saved lives from seemingly insignificant symptoms, which she referred us to a specialist about. My child would’ve been dead within hours if we hadn’t had her point us in the right direction. She was unsure but it’s always better to be safe than sorry. Forever grateful to this woman strong and deliberate in her actions. Love you Dr. Mahoney -Jim and Debra

Not a good experience at all. She just doesn't know her stuff and isn't very pleasant to talk to either. Waiting room was always empty. Wonder why......

Does not listen to parents. Made a frivolous referral the first time she even met my child. Of course, the specialist stated it was unesessary to bring the child back and that they see saw no reason to have made a referral to them.
