Dr. Tariq Ali Nayfeh

Dr. Tariq Nayfey came highly recommended to me by a doctor whom I highly respect and whose recommendations have all been excellent. I was very impressed with Dr. Nayfey’s credentials and when I met him for the first time I knew I was in the right hands. I had a total knee replacement six weeks ago and I am walking without a walker and without a cane and without a limp! My knee is stronger than it ever was and my range of motion far exceeds what is expected. Dr. Nayfey is easy to talk to and is available when you need him. In fact, he was on a medical mission out of the country for a few weeks and yet he still responded to my email questions within less than an hour. Dr. Nayfeh went above and beyond because he even prescribed allergy sprays for me because he saw in my record that I was subject to frequent sinus infections. Talk about being thorough, Dr. Nayfey is on top of your health. If you are looking for an orthopedic surgeon, do not hesitate to contact Dr. Nayfey. He has and will go far above any of your expectations. Total knee replacement is a big deal — put yourself in his hands. Dr. Nayfey is now associated with the Greater Washington Orthopedic Group.

Dr. Nayfeh is one of the few surgeons willing to treat a revision. A revision is correction of another doctor’s work. Most doctors are so fearful of litigation that after an initial consultation they refer you to another doctor. Such is not the case with Dr. Nayfeh. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering which makes perfect sense when treating knees, wrists, hips, etc. Dr. Nayfeh is compassionate, personable and very professional! We were lucky to find him.

Dr Nayfeh is the best! Very caring, very accessible, and my knee revision is doing well. I love the he does knee replacements as out patient.

Dr. Nayfeh was thorough and accurate in his diagnosis. he followed through with my treatment leaving no stone unturned. He listened to all of my concerns patiently and provided recommendations and responses for the best course of action for my condition.

Good and attentive staff, MOST its working with me managing my knee problem.

I developed extensive arthritis in my right knee due to multiple open compound fractures to the tibia and fibula 38 years ago. After living with chronic pain for several years, TKR was my last chance to get back some quality of life. I consulted several surgeons before choosing Dr. Tariq Nayfeh, who was highly recommended. I am so thankful that I did. At my 1st consult, he spent over an hour explaining the whole procedure, answering queries, and being honest with his responses so that I had no unrealistic expectations. I had been warned repeatedly that the biggest challenge would be managing the pain in order to conduct physical therapy from day 1. I followed Dr. Nayfeh's instructions diligently re the medications & didn't have to resort to Oxycodone, unlike friends who had TKR recently. My son was amazed when he saw me walking on the day after surgery - he had never seen me stand erect or walk so smoothly, as I had the accident before he was born. The bow in my leg caused by the multiple breaks appears to have reduced. And on my 1st follow up check 2 weeks later, my range of motion was 125 which was amazing. I could not be happier with my experience with Dr. Nayfeh. He is professional, compassionate, and an expert in his field. He recently performed surgery on my left hip and to say that I am satisfied with the outcome is an understatement. Before surgery, Dr. Nayfeh provided clear explanations, spent time with me to ensure I understood the procedure and recovery, and listened attentively to my questions and concerns. Dr. Nayfeh is a real breath of fresh air!!! Not only was I seen almost immediately, but he has Great Bedside Manner and he took moments to breakdown his assessment of my knee. My previous doctor was complete opposite with the worse bedside manner and even less empathy. Dr. Nayfeh gives me a better sense of hope here and I look forward to my future appointments with him. Very caring Doctor, makes an effort to explain things concisely.

They are well organized and efficient . Communication was clear and understandable. My problem was not resolved but it seems that I know what are my options are and how we will move forward.

Dr. Nayfeh was personable, intelligent, and kind. He listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. He reviewed my lengthy history and discussed a personalized surgical strategy. Dr. Nayfeh is one of the best doctors I’ve ever dealt with, if not THE best. He knows his stuff but more importantly he listens and gives you the time you need to be heard. Awesome. Never felt better the plasma shot in the knee was a miracle. Literally walking out the office the pain was gone and has not come back No knee pain, maybe when I exert too much 1% overall. The doctor and the staff very professional. Highly recommend. I am running around even forget that I have bad knee. Overall 5 stars.

Everyone is pleasant, efficient and friendly.

i was in a terrible car accident in 2008 and have multiple injuries that bother me a lot. I moved to Maryland from Detroit a few months ago and was scared because I I was seeing all new doctors. I lost my job with good insurance and have state insurance and Medicaid only approved one doctor and I was skeptical because of my insurance I thought I was gonna get a state terrible doctor. I was wrong the doctor I seen was Tariq Naygeh absolutely amazing, not only was he amazing he was a professor at John Hopkins and helpful and made me feel comfortable with what I had going on and he answered all my questions and referred me to a specialist.The staff was very nice and helpful. My mother in law went to see Dr.Nayfeh. He was patient and explained everything in detail. He made conservative recommendations and didn't immediately jump to the surgery option which a lot of doctors do.

I had my right hip replaced by Dr. Nayfeh in September 2020 and it’s better than new. I will have to have my left hip replaced soon and Dr. Nayfeh is my choice again.
