Why tf did no one address a review posted 3 months ago about a woman being sterilized against her will? Um, hello??? Who is going to trust going here after reading that with no follow-up?

First of I can't believe I've never left a review for this amazing Doctor, shame on me ????. I was Dr. Basco's patient  for more than 8 years. A friend recommended him to me and had nothing but great things to say about him; she was right. HE IS THE BEST! He is very knowledgeable, respectful, patient, kind, listens to my concerns and made me feel very comfortable. My previous obgyn experiences were not great. Since the age of 14 I was suffering with excruciating pain and no other Dr was able to figure out what was wrong. When i explain my issues, after several tests Dr. Basco was able to pinpoint my issues and referred me to see a specialist where under went a laporoscopic surgery and other treatments for Endometriosis. Dr Basco has helped me manage my pain and after several years my husband and I have blessed with a healthy baby girl! We thought it would never happen for us.. Dr. Basco was always by our side and gave us a light of hope in dark days. He answered all questions and concerns i may have. We are so grateful that we met him. Our family relocated and I am so sad that I will no longer have him as my Dr. Thank you for everything you did for me and my family Dr. B i will forever be grateful to you. I cant say too much that's good. This doctor sterilized me with only my husband's signature when I was only 24 yrs old. He then asked me to date the paper incorrectly so to cover his own self for liability issues, which I did not do!

Dr Basco listens to your concerns and the first Dr I have ever experienced that gave options. We decided together on what the best choice for my situation.

I have had 3 children. He delivered my 3rd son and is hands down my favorite doctor I have ever had in my life! He has the best bedside manners and cares about his patients!

Fantastic doctor. He is very accepting and accommodating of LGBTQ+ patients, in this case, a gay trans man. He was also happy to discuss sterilization surgery for me even though I'm young (24), and agreed to it once he knew I was 150% sure I wanted it and knew the consequences. He's very friendly and considers getting to know his patients to be very important. I would enthusiastically recommend him to my best friends and family and anyone who wants a good OBGYN! His staff were also very knowledgeable and friendly and accepting!

I worked with Dr. Basco and was also his patient in Farmville. He is the best and you will never find a more caring phycisian.

Dr. Basco delivered 2 of my children when he used to work at Centra Southside Community Hospital in Farmville Va. I can't say enough good things about him! He honestly cares about his patients & takes the time to explain each test or procedure. We are soo incredibly blessed to have had him be such a big part at one of the most joyful & exciting times in our lives.

This Doctor is very detailed, was able to give me some options and agreed with what I had done the research on. I like to be an informed patient, but want to leave it to the Doctor for the final decision.

Dr. Basco is HANDS DOWN the best Ob/gyn this side of the state. He cares more than any other doctor you will meet, trust me! His patients mean so much to him!!

As a woman its not easy for me to trust a doctor especially an OB Gyn. Ask my mother. Lol. Dr Basco made me feel very comfortable and relax and eased my nervousness. He explains everything and has no problem answering questions to help you understand. He is the greatest and I'm so thankful to have him as my doctor.

He's the best doctor I've ever encountered. I never thought I would ever be comfortable with a male obgyn, but as soon as I met him I knew I would want him to deliver my babies. He's professional, very calm, takes his time talking to you, he's extremely knowledgeable without talking over your head. My first baby ended up measuring very large, so I was panicking. But Dr. Basco made it very easy to calm down, gave me my options and supported me in whatever I wanted to do. I'm pregnant again currently and I'm happy to be working with him again even if he's an hour away, he is worth it. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone! This man is a God send. He is the best doctor in the state, maybe country. He cares about each and every patient. He stays up to date on the trends. If you are looking for a Ob/gyn in Hampton Roads, call his office. You won’t be disappointed!!

Dr. Basco is an AWSOME doctor and individual! His bed side manner and the time he spends with each patient to ensure he responds to your every need is outstanding. I couldn't think of another doctor to attend to by GYN needs. My entire family love him and his staff!

Today was my first time meeting him. He's one of the most genuine doctors I've met aside from Dr. Faulk in Newport News. I've already recommended him to a few friends and my sisters. I love him already. You can tell who's passionate and who's not. Thank you again Dr. Basco!

Dr.Basco saw me as I dealt with an ectopic pregnancy. I was moved to tears by his gentle compassion as he talked me through what was going on. I've truly never felt more comforted by a medical professional; I am so grateful to him.
