The department is understaffed and Dr. Bueker's didn't have time for me, even though I have an aggressive cancer. He canceled two appointments in a row...then rescheduled me 1 month out. I went somewhere else and they got right on it. I am telling all my friends not to go to Henry Ford for women's care.

I recently passed the five year anniversary of my robotic hysterectomy for uterine cancer performed by Dr. Buekers. He also had to deal with ovarian cysts and fibroid tumors, There has been no recurrence of the cancer. I didn't have any pain worth mentioning and was back on my feet very quickly. The lymph nodes were all negative so I didn't have chemo and opted not to have radiation. My mother died of uterine cancer so I was well aware of how dreadful it could be. Dr. Buekers' skill spar

I was able to schedule an appointment quickly and left with a treatment plan, putting all the uncertainty behind me and go forward.

As an ovarian cancer patient I have been seeing Dr. Buekers for almost 7 years now. If you need the servicesa of a GYN Oncologist who provides excellent quality care,is compassionate and extensively knowledgeable in his field, I highly recommend Dr. Buekers. I really can’t say enough good things about how thankful and appreciative I am to have him as my doctor.

He was so calm and comforting to my family. He was reassuring and knowledgeable.

I was treated by Dr. Buekers @ the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics for advanced stage Ovarian Cancer that had perforated my small intestines and had been taken by ambulance to Iowa City for treatment. He took me into surgery that evening for an 8 hour operation. He was busy, but most caring and helpful with discussions for treatments. I relied on his recommendation and I will always credit him & his Team for saving my life! Survivor since 2009!!!

Never seemed rushed and always willing to take the time to answer my many questions, even those that were a little off the wall. He knows his stuff and glad he was there when I needed him.

In my experience Dr Buekers has not been compassionate or supportive. He will take time to answer questions but his responses are very short and not thorough.I would not recommend
