Dr. Thomas Pliura

I came in to get tested for Covid and flu. The PA thought it could be tick borne. I was billed for a complete blood panel as well as 5 non-FDA approved lab tests and was not informed at the time of blood drawn that this was occurring. I was told I was being tested for Lyme disease and a couple other tick borne diseases. I was told my results a month later, which was when I found out the nature of the tests. In addition, the blood samples were compromised by a lag in submitting them. I feel like a guinea pig in a middle school science experiment.

SHADY! Incorrectly billed for services we did not receive. Spent hours on the phone with my insurance company and his billing department to get it figured out. Found out today that they re-billed for the correct service but never withdrew the claim for the incorrect service and got paid for BOTH! If I could give zero stars, I would!

My daughter went to Campustown Urgent Care for a musculoskeletal problem re: her arm. Dr Pluira asked her specifics about her sexual activity and completely “creeped her out”. The questions he asked were in no way related to her condition. He is unprofessional!

The best Doctor in Town.

Tested me for COVID when everyone else was scared of it. Came to my house to do my antibodies test. Because of him willing to help someone he didn’t know I was able to get back all my sick time at work back. While still being paid.

I thought that the urgent care would screen their doctors better. Even uber does some sort of a background check! But this doctor just gave me the creeps and, on top of that, messed up my daughter's diagnoses!

Ugh - so frustrating. He not only misdiagnosed me, but he was rude to boot. I wish I gone to see some other urgent care doctor.
