Very satisfied with my experience at Ortho Virginia. My shoulder diagnosis was explained to me in simple terms that I could understand. I was presented with several options of treatment. Unless things deteriorate I will be back in 3 months for follow up.

Seen quickly. Staff friendly and supportive.

After a history of rotator cuff problems I have complete confidence in Dr. Davis judgment in his diagnosis of my shoulder pain. If you are having any shoulder joint problems go to Dr. Davis first. You will be glad you did.

The staff are friendly and efficient. I loved that masks are not mandatory—makes interacting with people so much more comfortable and personal. Dr. Davis is a compassionate person and good listener. He was thorough in his examination as well as in his explanation of my diagnosis and treatment plan. Highly recommend Ortho Virginia and Dr. Davis.

A wonderful experience! Easy parking at dedicated medical building at RRMH. Fast registration and process to waiting area. Administrative and medical staff attentive and efficient. After a few questions I had two x-rays of my shoulder. Dr. Davis came into the exam room within two minutes. We chatted and he performed a few mobility and strengths to determine my issue and condition. I’m pleased mine was a simple case. Dr. Davis is a delight. He has treated both of my sons for various injuries. He has a great bedside manner and well informed on the latest and best treatments. If I ever have any questions he is easy to get in touch with.

Went in for broken collarbone follow-up. Wait was short and Doc was great; very concise and crystal-clear.

Dr Davis is a terrific doctor, he seems to genuinely care about his patients. He explained my situation and options in a way I could understand,so I could make a decision on my course of treatment.

Dr Davis is personable and comfortable to talk with, he explains in a way that is easy to understand. He takes his time when he is talking with you and you don't feel he is rushing to get to the next patient. Great Doctor and I am grateful to have him as my doctor.

Mom is bone on bone in her shoulders so she gets regular cortisone shots. Thorpe is a family friend and he knows shoulders well so he’s the guy for the job!

My experience was wonderful. I have no complaints everyone was kind, personable and I felt at ease. Truly a great experience and I will continue to be a patient.

Dr Thorpe was professional. Showed genuine interest in my case and the office was run very efficiently. I would agree with some reviews that the staff is not ver friendly. They are not unfriendly but a little warmth and relatability would go a long way. So far I am very satisfied with Dr Thorpe. I have seen other Ortho Va doctors that I was not at all impressed with so this is a welcomed change.

Dr. Davis is a wonderful doctor and surgeon. He explains and takes the time to throughly explain your injury solutions. Highly recommend to give him a visit for shoulder and knee issues.

I would recommend Dr Davis. His office is extremely organized. Very short wait to be seen. My problem and questions were well addressed. Only negative I would say is a lack of friendliness. He staff and Dr Davis weren’t unfriendly. But there was no sense of warmth in their greetings and responses. The one exception was the new PA, who was very friendly and made you feel like you weren’t being rushed out the door.

Very thorough explaining my shoulder damage, CT results and replacement surgery needed to get me out of constant pain. I feel very confident of his knowledge and experience.

Dr Davis was very thorough in giving me options for my numerous shoulder dislocations. He didn’t push surgery until I really needed it.

After doing quite a bit of research and receiving several recommendations regarding who I should see about my options for the treatment of the severe arthritis in my right shoulder, I chose Dr Davis and I could not be more satisfied. Dr Davis was warm, thorough and professional. He quickly prescribed adequate testing that allowed him to clearly explain that I was a likely candidate for shoulder replacement in the not too distant future. Dr. Davis is the best. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly.

It has been 6 weeks since surgery. First couple weeks was tough but things are going well now. Dr Davis has been outstanding keeps you on track. He has been really good at explaining the whole process and where you should be at each stage.

Dr. Davis is very thorough. He discussed all of my options and backed it with clinical research.

This facility is a 10. I had rotator cuff surgery and they took very good care of me. I knew what to expect and the different phases I would go through.

Having had declining shoulder strength and mobility for several years as the PAIN levels increased I turned to OrthoVa (OVA) in search of relief! Having references from two personal friends for Dr. Thorp Davis, I looked into his resume and experience at OVA. Dr. Davis and his more than capable assistant, Adam Cristman, have counseled and advised me in a very professional and effective manner! Dr. Davis performed a ‘reverse shoulder replacement’ last July which has relieved ( almost eliminated ) my significant pain caused by arthritis and joint degradation. My other shoulder will need help soon and I continue to use and recommend the medical expertise of Dr. Davis and Adam Cristman. The best in the city of Richmond (Henrico/Handover/Mechanicsville), I’ve had a total of 4 Acl surgeries in my life time and Dr.Davis completed#4. Dr Davis took care of me, he didn’t just put something together. The first time I went into surgery with Davis around June he disappointed me, not because of his work but his refusal to do this inaccurately pushing my surgery back to October but he ensured this is my last one. Just imagine waking up and hearing it’s not completed yet (my was I upset). Dr Davis called me personally from his cell to explain what happened and how we are going to get this completed correctly with his team of expertise. Thank you Dr.Davis for your hard work and dedication as well as the transparency, I now look forward to playing with my new born baby boy in February which means everything to me. Dr. Thorp J. Davis has a pleasant demeanor. He put me at ease in explaining to me what my health issue was and what could be done about it. I felt comfortable following the procedures he suggested that I need to take in order to feel better.

I was very pleased with Dr. Davis. He checked out my shoulder and decided that we would do a series of physical therapy to see if that resolved my problem before moving on to more serious options.

Dr Davis was very helpful, explaining my MRI in terms I understood. Presented options and relieved my anxiety. Highly recommend Dr Davis

Was very pleased with the Dr. Davis and the treatment provided.

Repaired my Right bicep tendon in the shoulder and clean up work to rotator cuff. Minimal discomfort afterwards and quick recovery. Overall feel better. Has a very PA as well.
