1st visit and last one!! After checking in, I was given two sheets of documents to fill out. 2 minutes later I was called in and was told to bring the documents with me to fill it out. Was rushed on my weight and blood pressure check. I was asked what was my height instead of the assistant measuring me?? The assistant then brings me to a room, asks me a few questions then tells me to take off all my clothes (I was there for a wellness appointment) and put on the robe. If I am still waiting after taking off my clothes, just finish completing the two documents. Next thing you know, I am half naked and the assistant barged in to tell me I need to reschedule my appointment as Dr.Desplinter is now unavailable. I drove 50 minutes to this appointment. I am greatly disappointed I had to experience this. I do NOT recommend this place or doctor to anyone. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. 1st visit and last one!! I had to switch doctors at 26 weeks and Dr. Desplinter came highly recommended. She spent 40 minutes going over my history and listened to all my concerns. This was more time than my previous doctor gave me on all my visits combined. She saw me on time (within 5 minutes of my appointment time). I couldn’t have ask for a better experience! Made an appointment 3 wks ago for today. When I went in, they stated that, 6 days ago, they texted me a message about it being canceled. The text message was in fact a confirmation of my appointment and then the 2nd sentence of the text was canceling the appointment. Guess I missed that 2nd sentence cancelling it after reading the first sentence that my appt was confirmed. When I get there today, the rude woman at the front desk told me that they even called me to cancel. I showed her my call logs from the number she said the calls would come from and there was nothing on there other than the first call in which I made the appointment 3 weeks ago. She just rudely stated she didnt know what happened then after just insisting. I remembered something so I turned around and came back in and another woman and her were gossiping about me and shut up really quickly and the other woman looked at me startled and whipped around quickly to walk off when I walked into the door again. I have been going to Traci Desplinter for years. Due to covid i wasn’t able to make any appointments. I needed my prescription refilled and her nurse was the absolute Worse( she was rude, and not empathetic- she even told me it was my job to keep up with my visits and prescription despite a GLOBAL pandemic. I emailed Trace and asked if she would have another nurse handle my check in before going back for my well women’s exam. Well I got letter this morning saying she can no longer treat me as a patient. Due to a breakdown of the “patient- provider (doctor) relationship!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I’m baffled - but definitely won’t be back and recommend others follow suit! She won’t listen to your side and will dismiss you as a patient if you address concerns- fine by me!!! Good riddens!!! I have been going to Traci Desplinter for years. I’ve been seeing Dr Desplinter for 12 years now and the quality of care continues to get worse each year. At my last visit the nurse asked me personal questions on the way back to the room rather than waiting until we were in the room in private. After the visit I was asked to make another appointment to go over results through teledoc. They charged me another $35 copay to read to me the results that were posted for free on MyChart. No additional information was provided. I am beyond annoyed. I will not be returning again next year. I randomly chose Dr. Desplinter as my gynecologist and then three months later found out I was pregnant. I liked her at my first appointment that was just a well-woman exam but she has become one of my favorite doctors throughout the two pregnancies and childbirths I've had in the last few years. I ask more questions than I probably should but she always patiently answers my questions and is very reassuring when I am nervous about something. I appreciate that she and her nurse are available via MyChart whenever I have questions or concerns and can usually respond within just a few hours. I trust Dr. Desplinter fully and have felt like I was in good hands even when complications have occurred. She tends to be fairly to the point which I appreciate as she doesn't sugarcoat anything but she is still caring and clearly has concern for the well-being of her patients. Extremely rough. Appointments were in and out with no great detail questions or discussions. When I went into premature labor, and she was on call to come and see me she did not have any concern at all. If she had paid a little attention and asked questions during visit, I may have been able to avoid premature labor. Ideally, I should have been seeing a high risk doctor but that was not recommended to me at all. Since it was my first pregnancy, I was clueless and she was of no help.
Dr. Desplinter saved my life. That is not hyperbole, or an exaggeration- if not for her quick action, excellent care and kind heart, I almost certainly would have died. She is thorough, whip smart, compassionate, thoughtful and calm, and for all those reasons, I'm still here to leave this review. I cannot recommend her and the Methodist team more highly.
She is very rude and curt. Made me very uncomfortable! Will not go back!

Very personable, attentive, and comforting. Glad I found her as a provider!
Dr. Desplinter was abrupt, not cordial and did not seem sympathetic in the least about my surgical menopause symptoms continuing for so long. Basically told me to get used to living like this, and would not believe prior physician and research about projesterone helping with symptoms. I will not be going back.
I would not waste your time with Dr. Desplinter. She seems to not care about her patients and makes you feel like your wasting her time. I made an appointment with her to discuss getting off my birth control because of the side effects I was having and the conclusion she came up with was I was imagining my symptoms. I don’t know about you but I know I cannot make up feeling extremely nauseous after taking my pill. Complete waste of my time and money. Will not be return to her office. If you’re looking for a new OB/GYN DO NOT come to Dr. Desplinter unless you want to have an overall bad experience. I’ve been going here for about a year and a half & out of the multiple visits I’ve had only about 2 were pleasant. I am 19 years old & normally I bring my mom with me just because I like her there. Well Dr. Desplinter has always seemed to not like this. She never comes into the room with a warm welcome or even a smile. All appointments have to be booked separately. For instance, I was in the ER due to ovarian cysts and around this time was when I realized I wanted my IUD removed because it had caused me to gain 60+ pounds (after i had be told there would be no weight gain) and it was also responsible for the cysts. I tried to make my follow up appointment and IUD removal at the same time and they would not allow it. It seems like they care more about money than they do the actual patient. Upon going for my checkup she did nothing but look at scans, no ultrasound, no physical exam or anything. In addition, when I informed her I wanted my IUD removed she showed no concern as to the reasons why and the only thing she cared about was if I was having sex. My mom spoke up when we were about to leave because she was confused as to why everything she did could have been told over the phone because she said everything was completely normal and basically eluded to the fact that we were wasting our time coming. After this appointment we decided after I got my IUD remover that it would be the last appointment at this office. Well my appointment was supposed to be a day after today. & Dr Desplinter sent my mom a message telling her that she would no longer treat her and that she needed to find another gynecologist & I got a phone call saying that if I brought my mom she wouldn’t be allowed in the room. So I cancelled my appointment and I will be finding another OB/GYN to go to. All in all this was a terrible experience and I would not recommend them to anyone. Dr. DeSplinter is so kind, friendly & patient. Very willing to answer any of my questions. I’ve been seeing her for over seven years.
I received the best care possible from Dr. Desplinter and her clinic. Staff were helpful and friendly. Easy appointments, short wait, clean facility. Blood can be drawn and Ultrasonic can be taken on site, making it convenient for working moms to fulfill multiple requests in one appointment. With Methodist's MyChart, patients can easily track examination and blood test results and pay for special costs on any device. Love that! Dr.Desplinter is very knowledgeable and patient with my questions. She did a great job delivering my baby one day ahead of the scheduled C-section and I recovered from the surgery very quickly. She has been my doctor since I moved to Texas. She delivered my daughter's baby, her bedside manner is amazing. She kind and staff is friendly.
Wonderful OB! Very kind and warm bedside manner -- I loved my experience with her. She was wonderful during the delivery of my first when I had to undergo an emergency C-section!
I have had none of the problems other reviewers have had. I've always been impressed with her bedside manner. I haven't had any trouble with the billing department - maybe it depends on your insurance? I was with her for my first pregnancy, which went well. My second pregnancy ended in miscarriage, but she didn't feel there was an underlying cause to be concerned about. Third pregnancy ended in miscarriage, so because of my concern at that point she sent me to a fertility specialist. Fourth pregnancy is going well so far, and I'm back with Dr. Desplinter. I will concede to the fact that she can be brief and clinical at times, but y'all... she's a doctor. It's her job to be clinical! I love Dr. DeSplinter. I found her to be very warm and kind, I ended up having to have a c-section due to my baby turning breech at 34 weeks. She was a great comfort during this time and was sure to answer any and all questions I had during that time. I highly recommend her.
I am so happy I found Dr. Desplinter. She has a very calm & caring demeanor. She really takes an interest in you personally, she listens, and tries to figure out how to help even if it means referring you to specialists (i.e. IVF, general health, etc.). Referrals are to docs she's received good feedback from patients, not just docs she knows. Waiting times are minimal, she's always on time. She makes me feel at ease, and cares that you receive excellent care from her office.
Horrible!! She didn’t really listen to my concerns. Rush the entire visit and wouldn’t offer any solutions because she didn’t have enough information. Don’t waste your time.
She is the biggest mistake in selecting my ob-gyn for my first pregnancy. She is not at all approachable or easy to talk to. This was my first pregnancy and I was very nervous about exams and she didn't take a single effort to make me comfortable. In fact she made me all the more nervous. In my first visit i told her about my medical history , a chronic condition which now I know probably caused my premature delivery. But she did not even consider my history did not do any extra blood work to confirm things nor send me to a high risk doctor. She was always quick during appointments obviously not giving you enough time as needed. Finally when I did go into premature labor and she had to come to bedside she was rude as anything completely ignoring the fact that this family is in stress with everything going on. I feel I could have earned few more weeks on my pregnancy if I would have seen a proper high risk ob gyn. All major lessons learnt. if you are trying to enroll with her and this is your first pregnancy I would absolutely ask you not to do it. I had an excellent experience with Dr Desplinter. I was referred to her by my family doctor. She answered all my questions and helped me navigate all the "old wives tale"-type of advice everyone wanted to give me while I was pregnant for the first time. She was also very accessible through the online portal when I had questions. When my water broke 6 weeks early, she made me feel confident and taken care of, and I had a very easy delivery and my son is doing great. When I experienced ppd and ppa, she was available to give advice during that difficult time. Highly recommended. I had an excellent experience with Dr Desplinter. I really liked Dr. Desplinter at first, even though I read that this particular office blows off women who are in danger of miscarrying. She was warm and seemed thorough, but once you become pregnant and begin to have complications, she becomes cold, clinical, and down right negligent. Nothing is truly investigated if you are having complications, her MA tells you that you will miscarry for literally everything, and she doesn't fight for your unborn child.

This is my first pregnancy and Dr. Desplinter and her team have been excellent. Answered all of my questions and I've never had to wait (other than being early for an appointment). Her nurses, ultrasound techs, and phlebotomist are the best. Everyone is always so friendly and efficient.
She is not very thorough at all. Brought my daughter in to see her when she 16 since she had not started her period and as of yet and I felt like something was wrong with my child but I was told 'give it time, it will happen'. She didn't do a pelvic exam or anything beyond a having nurse do height, weight, basic questions & a urine cup. I ended up taking my daughter to a different dr. that did a pelvic which in less than 2 minutes was over because she immediately knew something was wrong and ordered an ultrasound. Then we were sent to get a MRI done. My daughter has MRKH. She will never have a period nor will she ever have children. She was born without a uterus. Had this dr. cared enough to do a simple exam instead of taking my $ and sending us on we could have been on this so much sooner. I knew something was wrong with my child and it is unacceptable for this to happen. The interaction with this dr. was a complete FAIL. She is not very thorough at all. I have been seeing Dr DeSplinter for about 5 years. Until the past year, it was always a pleasure dealing with her and her office staff. Last year I got pregnant and had many visits. I feel like I spent half my life dealing with billing issues. If there was anything done other than a prenatal visit, I was on the phone because claims were submitted (and denied) due to lack of codes. The billing department is a NIGHTMARE. Billing for lab issues go to Della and messages aren't returned for 7 days. Billing for other services are routed through the hospital so issues are seldom sent back to the Dr. I recently got put on the hook for over $430 for an ultrasound following IUD placement. The DR coded this as routine- thus this is not covered as routine care. Since when is an IUD placement routine healthcare? Why wasn't I told to expect a bill for this? Why wasn't I told this was optional? The DR has a responsibility to the patient which includes informing them of elective procedures and the costs associated. I feel totally ripped off by this office. I don't feel there was an actual medical necessity to do this ultrasound, but the DR advised to do it, so I did. I also got stuck paying for unnecessary lab work during my delivery. My blood type was ordered 2 days in a row. Who's blood type changes???? There's no need for that to be ordered twice. Just goes to show that she didn't read the chart or previous orders. Save your time, money and your sanity and DO NOT GO HERE. I have been seeing Dr DeSplinter for about 5 years. Dr Desplinter was not thorough and did not take my severe abdominal pain seriously. Now, 5 months later, a trip to the ER and a new OB/GYN, I am scheduled for a hysterectomy to remove an 8 centimeter tumor on my left ovary, the ovary itself and my enlarged uterus. I am very lucky that this tumor is not ovarian cancer. She seems like to type of dr who no longer cares about the patient but rather about just the money. I do not recommend this doctor.
