Stay away from this doctor if you are an adult with psychiatric illness. Discredits family and other professional feedback. Rejects advising second opinions, even if several people question her treatment. Does not seem to have a CLUE about lack of insight and denial in adult bipolar patients. Uncaring of how family is affected by the illness.Does not believe that family needs support, or that family input is important to treatment and diagnosis. Arrogant and unhelpful...made things worse for our family. Blames symptoms on interpersonal relationships instead of neurologically-based symptoms. Believes that a diagnosis that could benefit from proper treatment is "pathologizing " the patient. As in "bipolar" is pathologizing, but the dx she IS treating for is NOT pathologizing.
