Very professional, organized, friendly

Today is March 29th 2023 I had surgery December 13th 2022 for left knee replacement cuz I was hitting bone on bone and I was in a lot a lot of pain but after the surgery and physical therapy the pain is totally gone thank you Doctor Vasili Kara's

My husband directed me to Midwest Orthopedics and Dr Karas for partial knee replacement. We live out of state and it still couldn’t have went more smoothly. From pre to post op the communication was outstanding with the messaging reminders and prompts and the responsive team via email. Sx day was super organized and the team were very professional. The plan of care throughout has helped me get the best possible outcome. Six weeks post op and it’s doing great. I can’t wait to have the other knee done and get back to some normalcy.

After doing extensive research among U.S top knee replacement surgeons I selected Dr. Karas to perform my 3rd knee surgery. The outcome for my partial knee replacement has been nothing short of a perfect miracle. His skill set as a surgeon is impressive and he is willing to do the hard work to achieve full patient satisfaction ...as it was my case. Great support team at every touch point. Thank you.

Dr Karis does not spend much time with patients however it's quality VS quantity it is a blessing to have him as my doctor .Nothing else needs to be .said!

Outstanding Dr. He has repaired my left hip, Right knee, and my right ligament that was detached. In recovery and will be out of a cast soon. BTW the movement on the Rt knee is now 135 degrees. Excellant doctor.

Dr. Karas is wonderful. He is an excellent surgeon and is personable and very caring. He has an manner which makes it easy to ask questions. His followup is excellent as well. He came to see me before and after my knee surgery. His staff is the best of any doctor I have seen. His PA, Nurse and Adm Assistant are all amazing. I received call backs within hours of my calls and they did everything to ensure the best care possible. I would recommend Dr. Karas for knee surgery to anyone.

Dr Karas was very attentive to my issues and thorough in his review and explanations.

I was very pleased with the outcome of the hip replacement surgery that Dr. Karas performed on me. Dr. Karas's team was very professional & organized. i received daily text messages which helped in the preparation for the surgery and exercises afterwards for PT purposes. I would highly recommend Dr. Karas to others.

The availability of Dr Karas and his Staff immediately after my surgery really helped my recovery. If I called in regarding my medication or issues concerning my surgery I received a call the same day and that relieved my concerns.

Dr. Karas did a great job on my hip replacement, his team is exceptional and Dr. Karas listened and addressed all my needs and I wish I had done sooner, he put all my worries behind me and is going to do a knee replacement on me soon, I’m looking forward to getting my life to normal again!!!

Dr. Karas was recommended to me by my neighbor, and I was very happy with my experience. He was terrific, came up with a plan, and did not recommend surgery right now, which was what I was afraid of. Overall, I was happy with the visit and will return in three months for follow-up.

Enjoyed meeting Dr. Karas and his team. They were very professional. Didn't feel comfortable having surgery without meeting him in person.

Dr. Karas and his team provided excellent care from the first office visit to the post surgical visit . The pre surgery teaching and the detailed information on the process and recovery we excellent and a good resource . The text messages that were sent during the recovery process always arrived at just the right time in the recovery to answer any questions and also to encourage you.

Dr Karas did my wife’s knee surgery. She feels so much better and in just 3 months with PR is back to doing everything g she did prior to any knee issues. Dr Karas is wonderful, caring and really listens to his patients.

I am extremely pleased with the outcome of my hip revision. It took a little longer than we expected but, everything is great and i am back on the round to doing all the activities I was doing before I started having problems. Dr. Karas is Great! I highly recommend him.

Dr. Karas is such an amazing doctor. I had my original knee replacement done somewhere else, and it didn’t go well. Dr. Karas said he could help me, and he did. I spent 1 year and 3 months not able to do much walking and spent most of my time sitting in a recliner. Well, just 2 1/2 weeks after surgery I am walking without needing a walker. I truly feel that he gave me my normal life back, and I can’t thank him enough!

Office visit with Dr. Karas and staff met all of my expectations. Diagnosis and treatment options were explained in easy to understand terms and my questions and concerns were addressed in a very compassionate manner. Overall an outstanding experience!

Dr. Karas recently did my total knee replacement in Hoffmsn Eststed eith robotics and his Nurse Veronica is Awesome!! They are wuite a team. She completed him, or as I like to say, keeps him focused and on target! On a scale from 1-10 He’s a 10 + he explained rverything thouroughly. Thank You.

Dr Karas is kind and direct. His Nurse Practitioner, McKenzie Greene is smart and sweet. Have had 2 visits so far and I have been pretty impressed with these 2 professionals and Rush in general so far. McKenzie had some answers for me within 10 minutes of meeting with here and I have been working with Dr’s in NWI for almost 1 1/2 years trying to get some answers. I am sorry I didn’t start off here at Rush. I am extremely thankful that Dr Karas has agreed to take me on as a patient. This has been an emotional journey and I am praying for a better outcome in his hands. No pressure. Lol

From start to finish people couldn't have been any nicer everything went really well I am very happy with the results everyone at the hospital was great everybody from the doctor's office has been great including the doctor I especially loved all of support and information they would send me everyday

Absolutely life changing. You honestly feel as if you are the only patient the way they respond and set up everything from start to finish. The entire staff is Absolutely amazing and takes time with you to explain everything and leave you without any questions. I am 3 weeks in and have zero pain and really never did. Wouldn't go anywhere else...

Dr. Karas and his team are the best! They take time with you and listen to you. Also, they stay in touch with you the whole time that you are in their care. I had a partial right knee put in by Dr.Karas a little over a year ago and I am finally pain free! Now I am in his care again to address pain in my left knee. I know I am under the best care possible. Dr. Karas and his team set the bar very high….other Dr.’s and their teams could learn a lot from them!

Excellent Doctor! Had hip surgery 3 weeks ago and I’m getting better and better. Very pleasant person, who is extremely busy which is a great sign. Has done hundreds of hip and knee replacements. His staff is first rate and extremely attentive (PA’s and nurses); likewise with the office stuff. Very very glad I was referred to Dr. Karas

I was very nervous about needing a hip replacement at 54, but Dr. Karas thoroughly explained the procedure and I will be replacing the other hip in August. The practice is always with you regarding the daily text messages of encouragement and his staff is friendly and accessible for questions.

I was very hesitant about have total knee replacement surgery. I had braces, creams, lotions, potions, physical therapy, gel shots, steroids, cbd oil, massages but it all came to needing tkr. I did research and talked to several people before I decided on Dr. Karas. I put off surgery for over 2 years. Finally got tired of waking up at night in pain from the bone on bone and bone spurs. I had the surgery on my left knee on 5/24/22. So far it has been great. No pain, some swelling but I can sleep. Just finished my 3 week post-op. Everything looks great and is healing well. Having physical therapy 3 times a week. This was not painful nor as hard as most people say. The stitches are out. I would like to thank Dr. Karas and his team of highly qualified people for making me feel at ease and comfortable with having the surgery as well as doing a great job. I appreciate the time, effort and dedication his team shows towards their patients. I would recommend Dr. Karas to anyone who needs tkr. I was very hesitant about have total knee replacement surgery.
