DO NOT treat with Dr V Bokarius this man is dangerous for anyone diagnosed by qualified Doctors prior to your unfortunately walking into Dr V Bokarius’ practice.In approx 20 mins I met with him by referral of my since dismissed workers Comp Lawyer of 20years.The Dr got up and asked me to leave after enduring his shouting at me I asked him not to speak to me in that way he flipped got up and went to his door for me to leave as I couldn’t do fast enough.. I have had 5 back surgeries which have caused chronic pain also major depression. At my appt I had been without anti depressants for weeks I was very depressed and in pain I was rational and a matter of fact about my conditions but his reaction was unacceptable, unprofessional, he’s biased on workers Comp side he created a report stating completely inaccurate diagnosis’, statements I never made, etc. I’m depressed not crazy I know what I said Dr Bokarius! It’s time for you to retire. In 25 years I have never experienced the disrespect the unprofessionalism and abuse of power. Not to mention if you have Worker’s Compensation this doctor will lie flat out lie on reports so be cautious. Note: His office staff was considerate. Very cold person. I’ve been dealing with PTSD as a former peace officer for over 10 years now. After spending about an hour with him, his diagnosis was basically that I over exaggerated my condition. Typical state paid QME. I hope I never have to deal with this lying nut sack again.

The receptionist and office Manager is awful and there Racist!! I saw the Doctor on September the 22nd of this year and was told I’d have my report in a few weeks. And as I write this review I’ve yet to receive it, and get this the woman hung up in my face and refuses to answer the phone when I call..... I was referred to see him for a workers comp injury. I was in his office for less than 5 minutes and he started making inappropriate jokes about my injury and losing my job. It was very insulting, but I stayed because I needed help. The reason I was seeing him was increased depression, anxiety, dizziness and irritability (among other things) after my injury. I told him that I had some depression and anxiety before the injury, but my antidepressants had it under control until I was injured and now they were out of control. He told me to stop taking my antidepressants because it was such a low dose that I wouldn't notice the difference or even feel withdrawals. He told me to take more of a different med (meant just for anxiety) even though I told him it makes me nauseous. He said if it keeps doing that, to stop it as well and I wouldn't notice. He said if I had an issue to call him. He also said that he forgets to call back a lot... I stopped taking the antidepressants and, in about 3 days, the withdrawals were terrible. I increased the other med and got even more nauseated. I tried to call and got no answer or call back. I called again the next few days and still nothing. My depression, anxiety, and definitely my irritability were much worse. I stopped taking the other med and my stomach finally calmed down. My next appointment was a few weeks later (today). I had stopped taking both medications per his instructions. The withdrawals aren't as constant but are still very difficult to deal with. He wouldn't see me because I didnt bring the medication that I was no longer taking. He said I should have brought them even if I didn't take them. He would have known I stopped the other medication as well if he answered his phone. I have Aspirin, Tylenol, Peptobismol, etc at my house. Should I have brought everything in my cupboard? He had his receptionist tell me that he wouldn't see me and to reschedule for over a month away. I was in his office, having bad withdrawals, worse off than when he first saw me, and he was refusing to see me. He came out of his office and just stood there looking at me. I told him that I was having withdrawals and the other symptoms were worse. He was less than 10 feet from me and definitely heard me. He literally just waved at me. He is so disrespectful and disregarding of his patients. I got mad and reminded him that he said I wouldnt notice. He still just looked at me. I got even more angry that my doctor wasnt taking my problems seriously. I told him that I didnt think he knew what he was doing and that I wanted a different doctor. He finally spoke and said "Ok". No compassion for patient care at all. This is the only doctor I have ever seen that has told his patient to stop taking the only thing that helped them within a few minutes of meeting them. I could understand alcohol or opioid or something. But telling a person with depression to stop antidepressants in one of the hardest points in their life... So if you want to be made fun of, ignored, made worse than when you started, and told you won't be seen during a scheduled appointment when you really need help. Dr Bokarius is your guy. Dr. Bokarius is a very professional, caring and experienced doctor. I have been going to see him for a while now and I can't give a more positive review. Dr. Bokarius is extremely bright, caring and very knowledgeable doctor. His demeanor is always pleasant and I am extremely lucky to have found him. His office staff is also wonderful, always on top of everything and just a pleasure to work with. Do not hesitate this is top notch doctor and service.

The service was excellent; it was easy to make appointments. I'm very grateful because the treatment here helped me tremendously. I was provided with an interpreter and am very pleased with the outcome. I had a lot of problems with my insurance and the doctor helped me out with that as well as explaining what my psych issues were. I give five stars because the doctor understood my situation and went the extra mile to help me to understand my treatment.

The doctor and therapist Nicholas were good at listening, with open minds. They helped me understand what I was going through and the meaning of my symptoms.

This doctor has a couple of receptionist in his Richmond office (Hilltp Mall) that are total tyrants. They gang against you when trying to clarify any doubt or information. Very helpful; informative. Really good information helped me through my situation and I now feel very improved. In addition to being seen by Dr. Bokarius, I was treated by psychologist Dr. Silva. Both were helpful.

Been seeing this doctor for about 6 yrs. he has been so helpful and easy to talk to.

My experience with Dr. Bokarius was great. Staff was great. He's very caring, patient, does everything he can to provide the treatment that will get you better, healthier, and try to get you back to the person that you used to be when you were healthy. The treatments I received not only helped me, but helped my wife and children and friends. They directly benefited from my wellness.

I was looking forward to my visit with Dr Bokarious. After being assaulted at work and suffering a major injury I was having a hard time mentally from the trauma. Dr Bokarious was very cold to me and said, “I don’t know why you’re here, so you were assaulted, it’s not like you were held hostage or anything”. I was stunned. For me to even seek help for mental health was huge. When he belittled my trauma I felt victimized all over again. I will not be back. Sad that this is the “help” available.

The best thing that Concentra ever did for me was refer me to this doctor. I've never had any bad experiences. Everything has been very positive. I recommend any one with issues to come here. They can come and laugh and the doctors here are not stiff and stuck up.

Dr. Bokarius was instrumental in getting my health back after a traumatizing work experience dealing with abuse and violence. I can't thank him enough for helping me work through what happened and move forward with my life.

The doctor is excellent. He is very professional and courteous. I feel supported by the entire staff, like I don't have to go through this alone. Group therapy was very helpful. It is one of a kind. Over the years, whatever situation I have been in, he has been available and helpful to me.

I have been seen by Dr. Bokarius for a little over a year, and have the utmost respect for him and his staff. I was able to take part in individual therapy and group therapy as well as my visits with Dr. Bokarius, so all these advantages were available in one location. I highly recommend him and his whole office staff for top-notch help and support.

Dr. Bokarius is a very unique doctor who understand both the psychological and physical aspects of chronic pain and its associated psychological issues. Dr. Bokarius and his staff are an enlightened group of chronic pain practitioners. Highly recommended.

With the help of Dr. Bokarius and his staff, I was able to turn my life around and go from rock bottom to self-sufficient. I appreciated the support and flexibility I received. The staff were able to accommodate me during urgent times. I benefited from individual therapy, group therapy, and medications. Dr. Bokarius can be very strong in his direction. However, I opened to his direction and found it useful.

This doctor is crazy. He has a horrible temper and yells for no reason. avoid him.

It seams like he forgets who is regular patients and who is a workers comp QME patients he treats all the same he is my primary doctor but he is not on my side he questions me like he is a QME doctor I think because he also acts as a QME doctor as well he treats all the same and its not good so he is not a good choice if you want your right. the staff mostly Victoria who i think is the clinic manager are the worse she thinks shes god shes rude and inconsiderate care less all the same stayaway.
