About Wayne Brian Colin
Reviews for Wayne Brian Colin
Dr. Colin has saved my life. I woke up 6 years ago unable to breath out of my nose. I thought it was allergies. After many allergists I went to an ENT and found out I had polyps that were blocking all my sinus cavities. This was 2018 and I had to have surgery. The surgery gave me horrible pain in my teeth. After 6 months all my symptoms were back. I was defeated and depressed. The only thing that helped me was allergy medicine and steroids. I had already gained weight from the previous steroids and ultimately would be 40 pounds overweight from the steroids. This made me further depressed. I gave up until I could not get any air through my left nostril and could tell it was completely blocked with polyps. I did my research and found the amazing Dr. Colin. I read his reviews and realized that those who had a bad experience did not want to hear the truth of what would heal them, specifically losing weight. Dr. Colin was professional, listened to all my concerns and I followed all his directions. My CT scan showed my polyps were back and he did surgery. My after surgery experience with this surgery was very different than with my first surgeon. I had pain but it was not severe. With the first surgery I had severe pain in my teeth but no pain in my sinuses. This time I had pain in my sinus but nothing in my teeth. I am still sore but everyday it gets better. I have completely open sinuses and can breathe. My husband even says I do not snore anymore. I am so happy with my results and my outlook on life is a happy one again. Thank you, Dr. Colin! I don't understand all these negative comments. I went to see him for chronic sore throat and difficulty swallowing. He sent me for a swallow study and a sleep study. Turns out I have severe sleep apnea and an esophagus structure. Both things he was thinking were correct right off the bat. He is quiet, informative, somewhat reserved, and now that I've been there several times, has become more personable and we joke a bit and I get an elbow bump at the end of each visit. I'm a short overweight gal in her 60s and he never scolded me for my weight, never mentioned it at all. I like him and trust his medical knowledge completely.

I have gone to Dr. Colin for over 8 years for sleep apnea. He has always been personable and professional, freely answering any questions I might have. My husband also sees him for the same issue and he likes him very much.
Dr. Colin is my elderly mothers surgeon. She had a very very serious cancer on her lower eyelid, and there were three other surgeons who had examined her over about a 9 month period, and they couldn't come to any agreement on the necessary course of treatment. Meanwhile, the tumor continued to grow at a rapid pace, penetrating the tear duct region of her sinus cavity, as well as attaching to the cheek bone area below the eye. It was approximately 33% of the lower eyelid, growing to cover 100%. At this point she was referred to a radiologist who determined that radiation wouldn't stop this tumor, and she the referred us to Dr. Colin. Upon examination, he quickly coordinated a three part solution, working in conjunction with another specialist, and resolved this issue completely! He is simply a wonderful doctor, and a wonderful human being! We couldn't be happier with the results!
I brought my mom to see Dr. Colin after being referred by a radiologist in Lexington. She had been passed from one doctor to another, all of them reluctant to do the proper surgery to remove a tumor on her lower eyelid. This went on for approximately 9 months without any clear treatment. There were actually three doctors/surgeons who were working together, and they referred her to radiology. The radiologist was also reluctant to treat her condition. Meanwhile this tumor was growing at a rapid pace, and even attached itself to the cheek bone. At this point we were concerned with possible loss of the eye AND bone intrusion with this cancer. When Dr. Colin saw her he immediately took the case, and began to coordinate the removal of the tumor, and the reconstruction of the lower eyelid, nasal cavity, and cheek. We were so grateful and glad to finally have someone with his degree of knowledge and skill to tackle this situation. The surgery couldn't have gone better, and I can't imagine my 81 year old mother being any more pleased with her Doctor and the staff in his office. Take it from me, you won't find a better surgeon, or for that matter, just a fine human being, to care for you and meet your surgical needs, than Dr. Wayne Colin! God bless all who may need his services, you will be blessed!
Dr. Colin did throat surgery on me 10 years ago for cancer & everything has been OK. He has answered questions for me anytime I go to see him & I would recommend him to anyone. Wilbur Toles
My husband and I visited Dr. Colin due to sleep apnea issues. We paid a copay of 50 dollars + other fees just to have Dr. Colin tell us that my husband needed to “”be skinny because skinny people don’t have sleep issues””. He told us to look up books on Amazon for more information on sleep apnea. Then he proceeded to tell us the statistics of football players who are bigger, who ‘probably’ have sleep problems. I can guarantee my cosmetology degree covered more than his Harvard degree. Save your money and time. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK. My husband and I visited Dr. Colin due to sleep apnea issues. My first time to see Dr. Wayne Colin and the complete experience was wonderful. I have a follow up in a couple of weeks.
I met Dr Wayne Colin in June 2019. He later did a much needed surgical procedure. I found him to be sure as to what he was to do, answered my questions and I felt comfortable with his level of knowledge .He was to the point as to his explaining. The procedure was successful and the results were completely satisfying as he had explained to me. I highly recommend him. His staff was very accommodating. I met Dr Wayne Colin in June 2019. I have recently had throat surgery performed by Dr. Colin. I am very pleased with the outcome and would recommend him highly. Dr. Colin is a no nonsense surgeon, straight to the point and extremely professional. I will continue to see Dr. Colin for any further problems I may have and appreciate what he has done for me. Sincerely, Merrill
I was very impressed by Dr. Colin. He has given me more answers and direction regarding my health then I have recieved in the past 8 months by other Drs. He is straight forward and to the point but he took his time and explained the results and answered my questions.
Had an exceptional visit and diagnoses. Perfection in in every way,

Wayne Colin is very rude and blames everything on weight but doesn’t examine you. I’d think if I was being seen for breathing issues, such as a possible deviated septum, he’d look up my nose to check, but instead he just told me to lose weight and all of my problems would be solved. This is lazy doctoring imo because that’s not always true, and they should examine you thoroughly before even bringing that up. I’m talking about all of the testing he sarcastically suggested, and not within the first five minutes. I know I’m fat, and that being your first conclusion without a proper exam just feels like you don’t want to treat me at all, and I’m wasting your time. I’ll be finding another doctor and I wish him no success. Wayne Colin is very rude and blames everything on weight but doesn’t examine you. I normally love Lexington Clinic, but my visit with Dr. Colin was by far the worst encounter I've ever had with a physician. After being referred by an OMFS for possibly needing a biopsy, I was obviously a little nervous. From the second I walked in, Dr. Colin was arrogant, condescending, impatient, and rude. He spent less than 45 seconds looking at me. He didn't do any kind of physical exam, and told me "there's nothing there." I tried to explain to him where it was, and he refused to even look again after that because again- "there's nothing there" (despite the fact that a dentist, oral pathologist, and OMFS all saw the lesion and recommended it for biopsy). He acted like I was an idiot and didn't answer any of my questions. All he told me was that even if there was something, it was because I used mouthwash with alcohol in it (even though I don't use mouthwash with alcohol in it?). I have never been treated so poorly by a healthcare professional, and I was shocked that Lexington Clinic would be associated with such an uncaring, arrogant physician. Dr Colin is an excellent doctor. My only complaint is that he is only available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. His staff must be very busy, as they are not pleasant on the phone. Despite canceling my appointment in advance, I still get robo calls saying I missed my appointment and have another one scheduled (when I don't). I didn't get along with the other doctor at all. The reviews here for Dr Colins are ridiculous. He is excellent at what he does, and does not give any bs fluff with his diagnosis just straight to the point. I admit that he is socially awkward and not outgoing so to speak, but that is a small price to pay for the quality of his work. I can partially understand the comments about him being rude but it sounds like the people that left said comments were only looking for confirmation of what they thought was wrong with them rather than the truth. I myself did not like him the first couple of times I dealt with him until I realized it was just because he is kind of weird and just lays out the facts quite bluntly. Once I got over my feelings and initial judgement it was very easy to see that he knows what he is doing. If you want a fairy tale diagnosis read Dr Suess or watch Dr Oz but if you want a real opinion the you should see Dr Colins. The reviews here for Dr Colins are ridiculous. He managed to schedule my husband’s procedure within one day after seeing him in the hospital on an ENT consult, so his efficiency was appreciated as well. If you’re super skinny, Dr. Colin will be a great doctor for you. He is seemingly obsessed with thinness. He told me that the media tells women that we can be “too thin,” but that “there’s no such thing as too skinny.” He told me that I needed to lose weight (I’m in the healthy weight on the BMI scale), 90% of the consultation was him lecturing me about needing to be skinny. He also told me I was misdiagnosed with ADHD, that it was likely apnea, and that I should “google it.” He’s terrible.
Basically, he said that if you have sleep apnea in most cases it is because you are fat. If you don’t need a doctor to tell you that then don’t waste your time with this guy. He didn’t even look in my nose, he just saw another fat snorer. So save your time and money and just go on a diet.
I had a thyroid biopsy result indeterminate for cancer. After an unsuccessful first consult I was referred to Dr. Colin. He was professional, explained everything and respected my decision to have that portion removed. The rest of my thyroid was removed later; it was in fact cancer. A risk is voice changes due to location of thyroid/laryngeal nerves; I still have all voice characteristics after both procedures. Side Note: Mom's opinion bears weight; she was impressed with the care from Dr. Colin
He is the most condescending doctor I have ever seen. Will never go back to him. He's rude. He's arrogant. He's very sarcastic and demeaning. He gave me a diagnosis that was unrelated to why I was there! It was a total waste of my time and I hope this will help others to not waste their time by seeing him.
Has an Awful personality
Would not recommend Dr. Colin or Lexington Clinic.
The man 'knew' what was wrong with me before he even walked into the room. He didn't want to hear a word either me OR my husband said about what my issues where (insomnia and night terrors), just told me that I had sleep apnea (which I match none of the symptoms for) and that I needed to lose weight. He also told me, after being in a room with me and talking over me for ten minutes, that I wasn't really ADHD, I just had breathing issues, and that I'd had been misdiagnosed my entire life. Which had zero to do with my sleeping issues, and I really want to see his psychology degree. I will never return to this man, and I am already waiting for my GP to give me a new referral so I can speak to a competent doctor regarding my issues. I wouldn't recommend this man to someone even if my life depended on it. The man 'knew' what was wrong with me before he even walked into the room. I'm REALLY confused reading all these other reviews. Dr. Colin has been great. He's polite and to the point. He seems like a naturally quiet person, but he's always been very friendly to me. And those of you complaining that he already knows what the issue is before he sees you? Uh, yeah, he's an expert. Also, Dr. Colin has ALWAYS been willing to answer any questions I've had. Otherwise, yeah, the meetings have been brief--he says what he needs to say and that's it. I highly recommend him!
My husband & I saw this physician at the direction of his regular ENT, for surgical evaluation, to correct a sinus issue. Dr. Colin was so unprofessional he did not listen to my husband at all, or respect input from his colleague & had already determined his treatment plan before walking in the door to meet us. He went so far as to attempt to contradict treatment plans that had NOTHING to do with why we were seeing him (i.e. changing my husband's GI medication). Will never see him again

The attitude of the receptionist should have gave me a clue how this visit was going to go.But, I said it will take a long time to get into another Dr. so I'll give it a chance. The nurses on 3rd floor were nicer and I thought well this might work out. Then I had visit with the actual Dr. and yes he burned a bridge. He was rude and there was no reason to be. I don't care if it is the last appointment for the day and you want to go home! You get paid the same and probably very well. Would not recommend lesson learned if you can't get right in to see a Dr. that is probably because they may be better quality Dr.s! Be patient and wait...... Dr. Colin was very nice as well as informative. He prescribed a CPAP machine which unfortunately did not work well for me so he talked with my insurance and got the surgery approved. This is a great doctor to go to!!!!
I chose Dr. Colin because his credentials were impressive. His interpersonal skills are less impressive. He is sarcastic and condescending. Apparently they don't teach "nice" or "compassionate" at Harvard.
