She will completely destroy your child’s mental health.

Refused to listen to anything i would say. Would discredit anything I would say. Would make comments Inappropriate in front of my child. Would completely ignore any attempt to have a one on one conversation. After being told to set up an appointment text messages would be ignored emails are not answered. If you did not agree in what she was saying she did not like it. Had evidence and would not listen to anything. Would cancel numerous appointments or be 15 to 20 minutes late and shorten others. Counseling was pointless. Did not talk about anything of importance. Total waist of time. But the courts will listen to people like this.

Wendy is an awful therapist and the time my family has spent with her in “therapy” has been a complete waste of time and money. She has no empathy and leaves children feeling full of guilt and confusion. She manipulates them into believing that it’s their job to navigate a narcissist parent dynamic. She doesn’t listen to the children’s input or experiences and solely focuses on getting the end result not caring how she gets there or who gets hurt in the process (the children) How the court system uses her as a resource is beyond my comprehension. She is corrupt, lies and doesn’t hold all parties accountable or to the same set of standards. Her knowledge is outdated and she refuses to communicate with if you question her process. If you are given a choice, please keep searching for an alternative. If you are forced to see her take notes, document everything, keep in contact with your lawyer and the GAL. She does so much harm to families and children that are already vulnerable.

Wendy helped my family through a difficult time in regards to custody of our children. She addressed the issues and made recommendations based on the well being of our children

Wendy is an excellent counselor who excels in her efforts to assist others in improving themselves as well as their situation.

Wendy did nothing good in my opinion. She did not acknowledge the problem at hand and fell into the trap of my narcissistic ex husband. She was blinded, he’s really good at it apparently and she saw him as the better fit parent which is far from the truth. She convinced the courts and the guardian to keep one of my three children away from me in fear that she would harm herself in my care. The woman is ridiculous, manipulative and condescending. I would not recommend her to anyone

It's clear that mostly upset people leave these reviews and not the majority with positive experiences because Wendy was pivotal in helping my family navigate co-parenting. As with most things in life, it is what you make of it. Wendy is adept at her job and truly cares. She is able to foster healthy exchanges consistently between all parties by honoring the feelings, emotions, and intentions of each individual. She wields her vast knowledge and experiences in the fields she operates to skillfully move all parties towards a shared vision/goal with care. It never feels like she choses sides, expertly finding a way to make all parties feel respected and heard. She is able to maintain a dedicated goal of doing the right thing for the children involved so that may, at times, bristle with those that may or may not have the best interests of those children in mind perhaps unknowingly - which is my impression of any negative review here. My family is lucky to have Wendy as a resource.

Its amazing to me how many people come on this page to complain about the outcome of their courts decision. Wendy has been a great therapist to me and our family for years. Last time I checked, no therapist makes a ruling for a court. They inform the judge on their RECCOMENDATION and the court decides whats in the best interest for the family. These hateful comments only prove that an individual is still unwilling to work on themselves to better their custody situation...

Wendy was so amazing throughout the entire process. She was unbias, empathetic, and patient. We felt comfortable being open and honest with her, and were pleased at how easy she made this experience since it very easily could have been very stressful and traumatic for our family. We cannot recommend her more.

Wendy was such a blessing throughout this entire experience. We were very anxious to start this process, but Wendy was very fair to everybody involved. She was patient, explained why she was making the decisions that she was, and made sure to listen to us thoroughly. Her job is definitely not an easy one to perform, but at no point did she make us feel that she was anything but calm and ready to help us find the best solution for our family. I hope that others get to have such a positive experience during such a stressful situation.

Mrs. Haupt came highly recommended to me by longtime professionals in the Richmond area. Mrs. Haupt has worked hard with my situation with my little family. I find her to be very caring, straightforward, and honest. With her help, my little family has been able to work through issues in a calm, and normal manner. The guidance, honesty, support, and advice that Mrs. Haupt has provided and continues to provide for my family is greatly appreciated.

Let me tell you. Taking sides is an understatement! She made it worse by ignoring my concerns because the “bonus mother” was not present and couldn’t defend herself YET she can give me no grace...only to my ex...for 3 behind invoices...2 of which I paid. All due to Covid-19 and the struggles. She never responded to my e-mails instead responded to my ex telling him I am behind on my payments. That is PERSONAL info and I know goes against HIPPA and I wasn’t there to “defend myself”. She told my ex it was fine if he was behind as long as he paid! What is the difference? She fell for a manipulators game. Congrats.

Wendy Haupt sets an expectation for her clients to accept unhealthy boundaries. There are things she would not tolerate but expected her clients to. She may have paid for a high price education, and was able to a title with letters behind her name. However, that doesn’t mean she knows everything, or should set unrealistic expectations of someone accepting mistreatment. She made it clear that Attorneys clean up the mess for their clients. Well attorneys tell their clients what to say and how to act. At one point during therapy it was as if her and the other parent had rehearsed the conversation. Because it was all for “show”. She offered a book which isn’t And shouldn’t even consider a book for therapy. Be weary of a judge therapist and attorney who are all good friends, and they admit it and are open because they know nothing will be done(cause subjective). She also look down on other therapist. Truth be told I can find 100 therapy to disagree with her. Therapy is subjective.

Not an expert as she claims to be when it comes to children. I wouldn’t take a child to see her. She’s left mine confused and in need of further counseling.

Wendy was professional and accommodating. She helped resolve a few communication and coparenting issues that had gotten out of hand.

My family was lucky to work with Wendy. We did therapy with her for over a year. Wendy helped my family through a very difficult time. She gave very practical advice. She was always decent and compassionate. I would and do recommend that persons interested in finding a quality therapist call Wendy Haupt.

She’s biased, not very therapeutic, emotionally damaging as a therapist and I wouldn’t recommend her. The tactics she uses cause destruction and the child to be isolated, emotionally. She’s extremely manipulative and isn’t in this to help families.

Wendy Haupt is more of a problem. She needs to be investigated with her methods she uses. A therapist should not give legal advice, and she does. A therapist can not tell you what to do and what not to do, and she does. A therapist can’t tell you things will go, and she does. A therapist should not answer a phone calls during sessions, And she does. A therapist should take accurate notes, and Wendy Haupt does not; be wise and record every session. Wendy Haupt has an issue with the power she feels is granted to her. Wendy Haupt makes a lot of assumptions and puts her own spend on things. Wendy Haupt has her own set of beliefs and refuses to look outside of those beliefs, even when they have been proven by other highly reputable therapist.

Wendy is an excellent counselor with professional insight. She is respectful of the client's she sees and encourages the parties to develop long term goals.

Highly Recommend!! My ex-wife and I were appointed to Wendy through the court system, in an effort to work out our parenting differences regarding our 7-year-old son. Wendy remained neutral and never took anyone’s side. She offered realistic suggestions on ways to improve our communication skills and helped us to see each other’s point of view. My ex-wife and I are much better co-parents now for our son because of Wendy’s guidance. I would recommend anyone looking for judgement free co-parenting

Wendy Haupt treated my daughter for some issues with anxiety. I appreciated the tools that were used and given to my child to help her cope with, and eventually conquer, the troublesome symptoms she was displaying. I found Wendy to be very empathetic and was impressed with the fact that it didn't take very many sessions to truly help my child. I would recommend Wendy in a heartbeat to any family seeking help with any issues.

I concur Wendy haunt is more of problem than the solution. I could be disgruntled I couldn't not be. But without a doubt choosing her will be a very big gamble with your time being wasted.

Wendy Haupt is not very empathetic and has a hard time building trust. We used her for a family situation and she was only interested in assigning blame. Our kids intensely disliked her and after 12 sessions we were just frustrated. Try to find someone else. Office is OK - it's above a bank in Ashland.
