William Franklin Childers

I am so very glad that Dr. William Childers has returned to Laurens Family Practice and no longer is splitting his time with The Greenville Hospital System (Prisma). Dr. Childers has been my son's primary care physician since he was a little boy. My son is now 39 years of age. Dr. Childers listens, discusses options, and then makes his suggestion. He is always willing to discuss concerns and issues. He has been treating my son's diabetes for years, as well as helping me with our son's mental illness when it flares up. He is a good man, and a fine doctor. Laurens Family Practice is extremely busy, and sometimes appointments do get cut short or overbooked, but this is not Dr. Childer's fault. Unless he has the time to do the kind of job he feels is best, he won't do the job (surgery). People should be thankful for that, instead of faulting the doctor. Service has been subpar lately. I had a appointment to have minor surgery done today. However, Dr. Childers stated he didn’t have enough time to complete my surgery because their were two other patients he needed to see and scheduled me to return the following Monday. Why even see me if it was known that the surgery couldn’t be completed TODAY on 11/20/2019? Joint Commission May need to be contacted. Service has been subpar lately.
