The phone number for the emergency room can never be reached. The hospital main number tells you that they are closed and that the physician on call (I have a father who is a surgeon...unless you are actually on fire and bleeding do not wake him. He is exhausted saving multiple lives at once) is the only one that can be reached. I called because a piece of equipment I purchased missed a part that made it function. Grant it, it would be nicer to have waited until regular hours but that whole not breathing thing is so inconvenient. Thank goodness they had the good grace to bow out and send me to a Louisville hospital more equipped. I will say that although the hospital seems to be understaffed and is "leasing" doctors offices out to unused space, that speaks poorly to the older generation where a doctor is supposed to maintain their own place of business and see patients in the office and then the more severe ones in the hospital.
