Dr. William Douglas Sudduth

I saw Dr Suddoth today. I had been suffering tremendously for some time jumping thru all the medical hoops to finally get to him for answers and relief. He's the meanest Dr I've ever seen. He was rude and snapped at me about my questiins about the MRI he was ordering. Knowing the terrible pain and discovering a herniated disc from his exrays he still sent me off with no offer of pain medicine or inflamnatory shot. My friend and I were floored by the lack of concern or empathy from Dr Suddoth or his nurses. I had to ask pkease for relief and finally was given a toradal shot. I saw Dr Suddoth today. I’m in a tremendous amount of pain and Dr Sudduth treated me like I was causing him pain. I was treated like I was a complete moron for answering the questions as they were asked and not reacting to motions he believed would cause pain. It’s bad enough that you never get to sit and talk with most doctors these days without being treated like this for the short time you do have for face to face interaction. First time coming there to this doctor. All went well on the visit itself. The personal there was very helpful and nice. The doctor himself was up front and open about my situation and what would be the best way to handle it. Overall everything went well for the first visit. Thanks be to everyone there...

Staff was pleasant and helpful. Dr. Sudduth was very detailed in explaining my back condition and answered any questions I had. My appointment was at 8:45. I was checked in by that time, but waited another 45 minutes before I was seen. Seemed awfully early in the day to be behind 45 minutes.

Was extremely pleased with the doctor & the staff. I’m anxious to get results of MRI. I hope that he can find a solution to my back problem. I may need more help controlling the pain.

I really enjoyed talking to Dr. Sudduth while he explained the issues with my back. He was very thorough during my office visit!! Before I left he had a path forward for me!! I would encourage anyone having back issues to get an appointment to see Dr. Sudduth. I am happy with his decisions that were made for me!!

True concern and understandable treatment.

Seemed to be very knowledgeable and had a great bedside manner. He explained my condition to me in detail that was easy to understand. I would definitely recommend Dr. Suddeth. You may have to wait a few minutes to see him during your visits, but it is worth it.

Dr Sudduth was kind, took his time explaining the problems and did not seem hurried. He offered a great plan for relief of symptoms and to improve my quality of life. I truly appreciate the time he took explaining things and his kind nature.

I enjoyed my visit with Dr Sudduth. He was very thorough in going over a plan to alleviate my arthritis pain. As I am already on a lot of medication I was very pleased that he looks for other avenues for treating pain such as occupational and physical therapy. I am looking forward To my visits with Dr Sudduth of having less pain.

Dr. Sudduth was very thorough and explained everything in terms I understood, it was really great to know what options I have and understand them. I had an excellent impression from the beginning and I feel comfortable and positive about my treatment.

I was in such pain and he acted like it bothered him personally to write a pain prescription. I know Dr's are under scrutiny about pain medication by the government. But Dr's are supposed to treat their patients with compassion not contempt. A simple explanation would have sufficed. Not the bad attitude to a person in acute pain. Will NEVER go back to him. He was very kind and asked in detail what my problem was. He did a thorough examination and looked at my records in length

Dr. Sudduth is a fine man. We need more doctors like him. I highly recommended him.

Tricare isn't accepted in many places in Birmingham and I was incapacitated to the point that I was on medical leave because I couldn't even sit to work from home. Dr Sudduth and his staff work diligently to obtain my MRI from Montgomery and referred me to a surgeon who saw me in a week and repaired my injury finalky giving me relief and my quality of life back. There isn't words or actions that I'm capable of to express my gratitude. Their sense of urgency, professionalisn and level of care is at a high quality beyond anything I've experienced before. I've served 17 years in the Air Force Reserves and because of him and his staff I am healthly and strong enough to complete enough to retire and serve beyond 20 years. I recommend him to any and everybody.

Great attitude knows exactly what you need. I highly recommend anyone with orthopedic problems to see Dr. Suddeth. He does not disappoint!

I went to see Dr Sudduth because I hurt my foot on a run with my husband. One of the first comments out of his mouth was that people of my size should not be running and that I needed to lose at least 50 pounds before running again. He continued his lecture by telling me I need a strict diet to lose my "baby fat" from my 4 month old daughter. It was embarrassing but what makes it worse is that he did not give me any help for the reason I went to see him. Not to ice it or take Ibuprofen for pain. I am no better off now than I was before the appointment. Rest assured though! I'm sure I will receive a bill for his "services." Very disappointed in his lack of professional behavior. Would not recommend his care to anyone.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Dr. Sudduth was professional and answered all my questions. I will recommend this group.

He was very thorough and explained things clearly. I was pleased that he took time to explain without rushing me out the door.

toDr. Sudduth is the absolute best ! He always takes time to explain his procedures and has such a wonderful bedside manner with the ability to make the treatment bearable. He is my favorite the doctor. My favorite thing about Dr. Sudduth is his kind and gentle nature with his patients.

Dr. Sudduth was pleasant, thorough, and knowledgeable. He assessed me, showed me my xrays and explained them to me, and referred me to a foot specialist that could better meet my needs.

I like Dr. Sudduth but I just have one thing that I don't really like. My injuries are from a car wreck and my insurance has a 5000,00 medpay for me to pay my copays and bills with and they will not take that. I don't have the money and when I have someone helping me as my insurance to help think they should consider that.

He was very thorough and explained things clearly. Then he confirmed my understanding of his recommendations of care and treatment.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR OR PRACTICE! My mother waited 3.5 hours because they forgot about her and THEN when she came out of the room, Dr. Sudduth decided he wanted to scream at her telling her how hard he works and he had been there since 8:00 am, going from room to room. Needless to say...she left and will NOT be back! I give this unprofessional man a ZERO star.

I found him to carefully listen to me and to ask me many questions. He then reviewed my MRI and Xrays in great detail on the computer screen.

The doctor was very cold and callous. Felt severely rushed after waiting an hour and a half because he was running late. Would not let me speak or ask any questions and when I did, he dismissed me from the office. Do not see this doctor. He has no people skills.

I would recommend Dr. Sudduth. He was very kind and attentive to our needs. I never felt rushed and his staff are very nice. couldn't ask for more.
