Yang Shan

I'm so glad I found Dr. Shan! I've been seeing him for a little over a year now, and he has been a lifesaver. I suffer from depression, anxiety, and ADHD, and he has always been very accommodating, even when I've missed his calls. He is caring and really makes you feel understood, which is something I haven't found with other doctors. I never feel like I'm in danger under his care, and I'm forever grateful for that. Unfortunately, he and Keystone are no longer working out, so I'll have to look for a new doctor, but if you're looking for someone reliable, he's the man you want to see.

Dr. Shan refused to refill my blood pressure medication after I was released from the hospital for severe stroke symptons. I was told to see him at Merakey and they and Dr. Shan are a huge dissapointment. I was seeing a Psyciatrist for almost 20 yrs. He always prescribed my medications including all my blood pressure meds. I was in the hospital for 6 weeks and was told by the doctors that if I did not have my blood pressure meds I could have another stroke. I am upset and have been crying for 2 days. I will not return to Merakey and my family doctor is no longer with the pracice I was going to/ I am disgusted with poor health care and if I have another stroke it will not be due to me but to Merakey and I will report that. I am 72 yrs. old and my headaches are severe. I also have jerky repetitive movements due to high blood pressure and sharp stabbing pains in my head. And as a A retired nurse... I know better

Dr shan is a great psychiatrist. He is really helping me get my life back.

I was seeing Dr Shan for one year when I became pregnant.Due to the pregnancy and the complications that could be associated if I continued the treatment my husband and I thought it best to temporarily discontinue services. After having my son I tried to go back and he refused to treat me, refused to give me any information about my case because he said that I did not stick to the rules of his practice which is to keep going.It was as if he were upset that he stopped getting paid for services.

I have been treating with Dr. Shan for about four years. I have always found him to be easy to talk to, professional, and experienced. Dr. Shan's office is comfortable and appointment times are kept. I have noticed that other patients appear satisfied. He is fair and I feel he cares about my progress. I have improved with his treatments. Dr. Shan is very knowledgeable and experienced. He has had many years of treating both inpatient and outpatient clients. He has been my MD for 10 years and my bipolar disorder is more stable now than at any time in my life. In the past when I have called him for help, he has seen me asap returning my call promptly. I would recommend him to anyone suffering from mental illness. He has enabled me to have a rewarding and fulfilling life.
