Very friendly, polite, and attentive to your needs. He explained the procedure and recovery aspects in a very detailed manner that was easy to understand. He demonstrated confidence which extended towards me and subsequently calmed my worries. I am definitely seeking him again when it's time to correct my other hip. Cudos to his team/staff which obviously takes after him. Thanks to everyone from a very satisfied patient.

I had a great experience with Dr. Blum and the entire team. I had both my knee replacements with him and it changed my life. I can walk and my quality of life has improved. Hip replacement with Dr. Blum excellent job August will be two years no problems

My husband reluctantly had his knee replacement surgery with Dr Blum . We couldn’t be happier with the results . Presently awaiting an appointment for the second knee operation. We feel very safe and secure In Dr. Blum’s hands . Thank you sir ! May Gods continue to direct your path .

I wouldn’t recommend this doctor because he didn’t give priority to my medical condition. He seemed in such hurry even before I finished the sentence he was acted like know it all & didn’t even wanna listen to my problem, Not worth it. The stuff on the hospitals front desk are really nice tho.

Dr Blum is a SUPER PERSON, SUPER DOCTOR, SUPER SURGEON. On January 19, 2021, Dr Blum performed a total right hip replacement, and gave me backmy life. I can't thank him enough for what he has done for me. Dr Blum is truly a remarkable doctor that I respect and trust, and the added bonus.....he has a great staff!!!

On 5/24/21 I received total hip replacement surgery. Dr. Blum took time to sit down with me, show me the x-rays and patiently explain why I was constantly experiencing pain in my left hip and what options were available for relief. Dr. Blum and his staff nicely walked me through the process, etc. and I must say the entire experience has been relatively stress... pain free and pleasant... the results being that after the surgery, I have surprisingly experienced minimal pain and happy to say that I am nicely and mostly recovered these only 6 weeks after surgery. I am grateful to Dr. Blum and his staff (shoutout to "Sam W.") and appreciate the kind professional way my situation was handled, etc. Thank you for making an otherwise dreadful experience out to be a pleasant one. In June 2019 my life was miserable until i met Dr. Blum. On day one he and his staff was very concern about my well-being to the point that same day they got me set up for surgery. Dr Blum and his staff were personable, helpful and encouraging. Dr Blum actually performed double knee replacement and I was able to recovered fully after a week at Burke Rehab and was walking easily after outpatient PT. I would recommend Dr Blum to anyone who is contemplating surgery as he is an excellent surgeon and there is no need to live in pain because he can make it all better. I had a total right hip replacement in October 2018 and Dr. Blum was excellent. When it became necessary to have my left hip done most recently in April 2021, Dr. Blum was my choice, no question. His professionalism is without question, he made me feel very comfortable and his staff is extremely competent. My recovery from both procedures has been everything that I could have hoped for and I am happy to say that I am pain free. Dr Blum is the best orthopedist ever. He did a knee replacement on me 2 years ago, and I’ve never felt better. He way of handling things are above superior and his office staff is outstanding. I highly recommend Dr Blum to anyone who needs orthopedic surgery

He Is Quiet and Direct to The Point

Dr. Yossef operated both of my knees and as scary as that operation sounds, he was extremely patient and very informative. I was able to do physical therapy right away and my knees feel brand new!

I saw Dr. Yossef Blum in his Waters Place Office. I had a total hip replacement. Everyone from beginning to end was excellent. The surgery was a complete success.

Dr. Blum performed a hip replacement on me back in 2016 after my car was hit from the back. He was great , informative and made me feel confident and comfortable during this process. Staff was great especially Dominique!! I followed the post surgery instructions that he gave and was able to function in 2 months. Don’t get me wrong therapy was needed and stretching was important. Couldn’t run but was able to walk around. Both of my legs remained the same size and there was no medical assistance needed No wheel chair , crutches etc after the two months. Everything he said he did. He’s honest and we all know that’s hard to find in the medical world these days. So if your looking for a great orthopedic surgeon Dr. Blum it is !!!! I had the experience of having a hip replacement from Dr.Blum. He was very professional and very informative throughout my surgery. I was very pleased with him and his entire staff at waters place and Montifore hospital in the Bronx. I will recommend anyone who needs surgery to experience them.

He is one of the best orthopedic surgeon in New York City. My father who is 83 broke his hip in several places after a fall. Dr. Yossef C. Blum met my family and I at the hospital. He explained the procedure and my father had a FULL HIP REPLACEMENT. After 6 months of physical therapy , he is WALKING AND DANCING . He does not need a wheelchair, walker, or a cane. I was referred to Dr. Blum by one of my students who told me that Dr. Blum had replaced her mother's knee and her mother was very pleased because she was pain free. He did my left knee replacement December 2016 and my right knee replacement September 2017 and I can sincerely say that I am pain free in both knees. He is very caring and everyone on the medical staff at Montefiore Hospital I spoke with in the Bronx said that he is one of the best on the staff and I totally agree with them. I have had two total hip replacments with Dr. Blum. I find the doctor to be extremely informative and thorough from the work-up to post op. I highly reccomend Dr. Blum if there is a need for total hip replacement. His staff ESPECIALLY his secretary Dominique is AWESOME!!! The rest of his team/staff are always pleasant and courteous and answers all your questions.

My family and I are very grateful to Dr. Blum and all his staff for giving me the attention required and for allowing me to walk again! For over a year I have consulted numerous orthopedic doctors, but everyone of them was not willing to perform a surgery due to my complicated knee condition and instead have only prescribed me pain killers. I recommend Dr Blum for his professionalism, great quality care and exceptional ability to perform orthopedic surguries when needed.

My Mom's experience with Dr.Blum was awful. He was cold & insensitive to her condition. All her visits were short. She has other ailments, & she's active & she thought he could help her. All he recommended was a hip replacement. She saw him several times & was in pain. She did x-rays & a MRI. He didn't offer pain medicine or management, or physical therapy. He wanted to give her another cortisone shot knowing the first shot didn't work. She cried about her visit. We're looking for a Dr who cares

Dr. Blum was referred to me by a friend. He was courteous and friendly. He explained the X-rays and the options that were offered at his clinic. Upon making my decision, the procedure was scheduled within 30 days. The hospital stay required two days and i was in out-patient physical therapy with in four weeks. This Doctor listens to his patients, and incorporates as many suggestions as possible to make the individual's procedure easier. He is one of the best in New York.

tried to get an appointment with spec surgery in the city where everyone said I must go for knee replacement,.Closest one was 3 months away, got one with dr blum within weeks, staff is very efficient and pleasant, went out of their way to make sure I got what I needed as far as pre -ops and post -ops. office is good for parking, Doctor did a great job, Montifiore set me up with in house therapy,which also was very good and six weeks later I am able to walk up and down stairs with almost no pain

Viewing x-rays is horrible. Had nurse put on computer and doesn't come right away.. Barely says hello and wants to rush everything. My husband case was workers comp and my husband told him he cannot go to work even with one restriction. He put on the papers that my husband was 50% capable which in turn gave him 50% of his salary. When my husband called to talk to him and they said he needed an appt. to talk to him. HORRIBLE!

I visited the office after I was told by someone that they loved the service they received from the Dr and his staff. This was not my experience at all. The wait in the office was fine, short but my experience with the Dr was even shorter. Dr. Blum never really told me anything other than I need to have my hips replaced, he didn't explain anything to me until I asked questions. After meeting with me for all of 15 mins he wanted me to schedule surgery. His secretary is just as speedy. Not 4 me!

My experience was horrible. Dr. Blum is very Insensitive. He doesn't listen to what your saying. He's a fast talker to hurry and get you out of his office. He doesn't ask you any questions on about your situation but meanwhile you wait over an hour to be seen. He has done it to me twice. I do not recommend him at all. Horrible Horrible Horrible. I'm done!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waited 2 hours to see this doctor. He spent 5 mins with me. Never reviewed the 5 X-rays I had taken. Told me that I would not notice the grinding in my knee if I kept busy and did not pay attention to it. Told me to come back when it gets worse. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.
