Dr. Adam Jason Schneider

I have spent the better part of 10 years suffering with severe migraines on a weekly basis and have been a patient of 5 different neurologists who specialize in migraine medicine. I had been prescribed so many different preventative and rescue medications that never worked by doctors that didn’t want to sit and hear my symptoms to formulate a plan. Dr. Schneider was the first to do that. He prescribed me a preventative medication that meets my needs and have spent the last 6 months MIGRAINE FREE! It has changed my quality of life immensely. Thank you so much! I cannot recommend him enough.

Dr Adam Schneider was the 4th neurologist I have seen regarding my “burning” headaches accompanied by photophobia, tremors in all four extremities and disequilibrium that resulted from a hemithyroidectomy 10 years ago. On top of those symptoms, I recently began to experience pain in the back of my eyes, for which I had seen my ophthalmologist, who performed his full battery of tests and determined that the pain was not related to anything wrong with the eyes. My ophthalmologist referred me to Dr Schneider and I felt so grateful that he did. He and his office staff are professional, thorough, knowledgeable, warm and kind. Because he is the only doctor in his practice, it is a calm environment unlike the “factories” that most practices today have become. Dr Schneider prescribed PT and a trigger point injection monthly as treatments. I finally have hope that some, if not all, of the problems I am currently having and have been having for a decade will dissipate or at least be minimized shortly.

I made sure to do my research when I sought out a neurologist for my mom. Today after seeing Dr Adam Schneider, I think I chose the best person for her. He was very sensitive to mom's current situation. Also, patient and thorough while dealing with her. Even the scheduling for her follow up tests were treated with urgency. I had a very nice experience. After a blow to my head, I had a rough time. I was very dizzy and lost a lot of my balance. After Dr. Adam Schneider consulted me, prescribe vestibular therapy. After few weeks I am able to return to work. Thank you doctor !

Dr. Schneider saved my life. I left NY for a few years and lived in Los Angeles. Dr's their put me on 4 daily doses of opioids to relieve my pain. Needless to say I was a mess. Once back in NY Dr Schneider treated me without opioids (which took me 3 weeks to get out of my system) and relieved my pain. Now with regular in office treatments I am living a full life. Dr. Schneider is a very well spoken, thorough doctor Who listens to our concerns. Brought my grandmother here who suffers from dementia and is helping us build a game plan. Highly recommend him for anyone who needs a neurologist for any means.

This was my third ophthalmologist and second neurologist consulted in a short period of time. He was punctual; the office was clean and observed all Covid protocols and most importantly empty. We did not need to wait. The required forms to be completed were brief and i was aided by a staff member. The doctor was extremely patient, reviewed the mass amount of records I hand carried and ingested all data asking requisite questions., He listened courteously and attentively to all inquires from myself and wife and resolved all questions willingly. He confirmed my diagnosis of ocular myasthenia gravis MG and and quitted any medical fears of ours. He increased my medicine dosage after a through exam Abd explained any side effects. We have extreme confidence going forward that we are in the correct hands for treatment. He is interacting with several other doctors of mine & we are in safe hands. My regular doctor and the doctors at the hospital blew me off, telling me that “you had a tough delivery , it’s normal”. I knew it wasn’t normal & I was afraid that I couldn’t properly take care of my newborn. Luckily, I found Dr. Schneider & the office accommodated me almost immediately. Dr. Schneider took his time with me and did a thorough exam - and ultimately diagnosed me with a form of nerve damage. He referred me to a PT and I recovered just as he said I would. DR. SCHNEIDER HAS BEEN MY DOCTOR SINCE 2003 WHEN I GOT SHINGLES. UNFORTUNATELY I WAS ONE OF THE 20% OF SHINGLE PATIENTS WHOSE SYMPTOMS CAN LAST YEARS. I have visited Dr Schneider twice once for myself and now my wife who is suffering from late stage Alzheimer's. Dr Schneider is one of the few doctors that brings beside manner to his patients. He is warm physician, kind, but his medical expertise is one of a kind. He spends a lot of time with his patients, and then offers solutions/alternatives do help the patient get back as close to normal. If you are looking for a great neurologist on Long Island Dr. Schneider should be your first contact. After your first visit you will know that he is now your primary neurologist.

It has been more than a 20 year journey for me since first being diagnosed with Lyme disease. The Lyme disease had and has affected me primarily neurologically. I’ve seen many neurologist throughout the 20+ years but none compare to Dr. Adam Schneider. From the onset, Dr. Schneider was determined to help me find relief and resolution to my debilitating migraine headaches. Going in to get an EMG for my lower back I was literally terrified from all the internet posts on how bad it would be. People made it out that it would be like experiencing “HOSTEL” first hand but having went through it finally I have to say that Dr. Schneider was literally the opposite. He was knowledgeable and professional and made me feel comfortable as possible. The procedure went fast and easy and I would strongly recommend anyone needing to get an EMG to definitely see Dr. Schneider. From his office staffing to dealing with him personally it was all handled top notch! Great experience for something I found terrifying going in.

Dr. Schneider is one of the most compassionate doctors I have ever encountered. I went to other doctor previous and all they wanted to do is put me on pain killers. Dr. Schneider discovered and cured the root of my issue with gentle trigger point therapy shots and my inflammation and spasms in neck/shoulder dissipated within two days! I am forever grateful.

I have been suffering from a migraine for over 30 years. He is the doctor who took care of it successfully.

Absolute horrible doctor. He did injection shots in my back left me worse off than when I came in. When I went back to see him he was covering himself and denying everything saying it was my back and not him. Horrible doctor stay far away.

Dr. Schneider and staff were amazing!! staff said they would call back with in an hour it was less! Dr. Schneider was fantastic hardly any waiting time filled out the paperwork within 10 minutes we were called in he examined my husband thoroughly even called his primary doctor to discuss his findings extremely impressed efficient thorough excellent!

My 1st impression as a new patient was a good one, unfortunately when returning to him 2 times after that, I realized him & his desk assistant were all about the money. When charging my debit card for my copay, she charged $15 instead of $5 & luckily I noticed when signing the receipt & I told her and she goes "Oh, Did I???". May have been a mistake, but still. Finally the last time I will ever go there, I got charged $35 (my copay went up) literally for him to tell me he could do nothing for me

I've been a patient of Dr. Schneider's for many year and his level of service is excellent. It's nice to find a care provider who can take the time to fully access you and find the right solution for the condition. I appreciate Dr. Schneider's one on one contact with me and the fact that I'm not just a number or a file in his computer system. I recently had a situation that needed immediate attention and Kim in his office did everything she could to get me an appointment as soon as possible.

Dr. Schneider greeted me with warmth and a smile and immediately put me at ease. He asked me some questions, listened attentively to my answers, and proceeded to explain exactly what kind of test he was going to do (EMG), and what sensations I might experience. Once he determined the results of the test, he was clear in explaining the findings and that my orthopedist who had referred me would follow up with a course of treatment. His manner and professionalism was outstanding.

I went in to see Dr. Schneider about pain in my legs. I explained to him my pains and he asked me many questions. We used a method of elimination. A good way to get to the point of the problem. He listens to my concerns. We determined that after an EMG, that I did not have neuropathy. I was referred to pain management.

Wonderful Dr and wonderful office. Very rare to find a Dr that listens and asks questions in a room that doesn't even have a computer! He was not only kind & attentive he offered alternative treatments for my condition which was exactly what I was looking for. He carefully explained the path of treatment, diagnosis etc. The girls in the office were fabulous every time I called and when I went in, a rare thing these days. I originally had an appointment 7/26 but it had to be cancelled. I called everyday to see if there were any appts available. THE STAFF CALLED me with an appointment 7/29. Nina was extremely helpful. Dr Schneider was compassionate and caring. He explained everything and what had to be done next. Yes its their job BUT Dr Schneider treats you as though you were his own family.

Dr Schneider is an extremely caring and compassionate doctor with an incredible bedside manner. We've been going through many doctors trying to figure out what's wrong with my daughter, and he has been the only one who took his time with her to listen, thoroughly examine her and is actually concerned with doing what he can to help her.
