Dr. Adolfo Enrique Kaplan

He is an excellent Physician. He has been treating my mom and myself for severe asthma, and we have never felt better. I might also add that our condition has not exacerbated, since he has been taking care of us. The wait is a bit longer, but well worth the wait. The office staff is very helpful and cordial.

Dr. Kaplan is one of the best pulmonary doctors in the valley I also recommend Mrs. Margie as well Both doctor saved my life. God bless you Dr. Kaplan and Mrs. Margie abundantly.

My experience with this quack was not so good,he is unprofessional and too negatively emotional.

Dr. Kaplan was 1.5 hrs late for my appointment. He has the worst bedside manner I have ever encountered. He likes to answer his own questions. He didnt even listen to my heart and lungs. He concentrated on selling sleep apnea studies. Never going back!

Minimum office visit is 2 1/2 hours. Pack a lunch, you’ll be there a long time. Either doctors are not telling the staff what they want done or the staff is completely incompetent. We have been waiting 5 weeks for a prescription for a medicine that should help. Then 3 weeks ago we were told my dad would need to be in ICU to try this mystery new medication. We are still waiting for them to schedule that. Breathing problems are no joke and very scary for the person on oxygen. They want and need doctors and staff who care. This is not the place! Dr. Kaplan is one of the best internal medicine doctors I have ever known. He shows compassion and connection with his patients. He makes excellent medical decisions.I would recommend that anyone see Dr. Kaplan.

As a physician myself, In my opinion, Dr. Kaplan makes excellent medical decisions when it comes to sleep apnea. He and his team saved my life. Culturally he is different and has different bedside manners than local doctors, however if one understands that, he does not come across as cold but caring. Nice experience

A truly physician with a very large fund of knowledge who knows how to apply it judiciously. He has excellent bedside manners and listens. One of the best internal medicine/intensivist physicians I have ever known. I would recommend Dr. Kaplan to absolutely anyone, hands down.

I had the unfortunate opportunity to see Dr.Kaplan during a recent hospital stay. He was one of the most arrogant men I have ever seen. He as arguing with me as I laid in ICU. He didn’t agree with a diagnosis my doctor had made. He tried to belittle me and make me feel like I had no clue what I was talking about. I never asked to see this guy. To add insult to injury I received a very large bill for his 5 minute visit.

I agree with the other negative reviews on this man,be forewarned he has no professionalism in him.

My appt was at 3:30 and 3.5 hours later I got to visit with the doctor. They did a breathing test even before I saw the doctor.

-10 Why is it, you get a good doctor but you have to wait 6 hours for him to see you for 5 minutes... and yes employees are useless.

If you a want a Dr that will not give you any type of hope of getting better and makes you feel unimportant and not worth saving and has the worst bedside manners..then by all mean go to him..other wise get yourself a second opinion and an other Dr.

The doctor is fine but his office staff are rude. I spoke with Tony, the technician, and he was so busy trying to be right that he had absolutely no compassion for the patient. My son will not be returning to this office. Be warned.

It’s a sad state of affairs when the staff that represents a doctor’s practice can’t be civil to a special needs child. Tony insinuated that we were lying about some forms we needed signed and that the DME supported this . We followed up with the DME and it was NOT true. Tony the technician said the documentation could have been done via fax. The DME has a record that they have tried for two and a half months to get it signed and it has not been done. SMH. If I could put 0 stars, I would. 1 is too much. Dr. Kaplan is the worst doctor. Not once did he tell my father that he would try and help him live, instead only kept telling him he was going to die, repeatedly. Gave no hope and yelled at my father for being scared. Look for another pulmonologist who is caring and isn't only there for the money. Maybe he has become numb to his patients because they are just more money to him. If you care about yourself or your loved ones, research other doctors and go to them. Dr.Kaplan is a cruel man. I wish we could have found another doctor before it was too late for my father. Was there for over 2.5 hrs before I saw the doctor. Office staff is incompetent.

Excellent Doctor and the McAllen staff is the best always greet me with a smile and always helping me out.

I love Dr. Kaplan. He is a great doctor. I like that he is NOT quick to give an antibiotic, but he will give it when it's needed. The office staff is always very friendly and helpful too.
