Doctor Allan H. Farquhar, MD from Carmel met us at his office at 9:45pm on Super Bowl Sunday evening to care for my brother. I’ve never met a man so kind and compassionate in my entire life. Apparently, my brother had had dry eyes which is very common and sometimes a much thicker tear is needed to lubricate. He also removed two stitches that was left in his eye from the surgery a year and a half ago that were loose. My brother is doing much better. This doctor revitalized my faith in humanity and the Medical field. I can’t say enough about this doctor! Thank you Dr. Allan H. Farquhar for being an amazing ophthalmologist and human being! The only reason there is one star is because I can't rate it lower. They have screwed up a couple of times with my scheduling. Then they have an obnoxious person as a receptionist. My biggest problem is the time waiting. They don't seem to care. I have spoken with Dr. Farquar about this in the past. I know several Dr. offices have waits, but this takes it to a whole new level. Today I had an 8:30 appointment for my field tests. On time. Took about 12 minutes. Then they had me sitting for more than 45 minutes to wait for my next step (pressure and dilation). I knew I would have to wait for another 25 minutes after the dilation. This would have turned out to be a 2 1/2 hour appointment. Not acceptable. If Dr. Farquar does not care about my time I will not go there. If you value you your time you should not either. The only reason there is one star is because I can't rate it lower.
