Dr. Almoatazbellah Magdeldin Idriss

The Tustin Office of Dr. Idriss is excellent. Dr. Idriss is knowledgeable, personable and a very good listener. He spends as much time with me as needed to be sure that all of my questions are answered and all information is clearly related. he has been a tremendous help to me in the management of my diabetes. The entire staff is great! Time in the waiting room is almost never more than 5-10 minutes, and the doctor is always on time or early. I travel 35 miles to see Dr. Idriss, and I am very willing to do so. He is wonderful!

Most expensive dolor I've ever seen. A 15 minute- office visit would cost almost $800 dollars and I paid almost $500 deductible. A 2 minute phone call costs $300 ... I don't know if it is this doctor or my insurance Webtpa... This is ridiculous. Now I get same service from other providers at much much much lower price.

Doctor explains things so you understand. He looks at the whole picture of what is going on with you. He is kind and considerate.

I have been seeing Dr. Idriss for 5 years now. He cares, he remembers where we left off, and he always responds quickly to messages. He's a bit quite, but great at what he does! He has taken good care of me and my thyroid condition. Highly professional and kind.

He is the worst doctor I have ever dealt with. There are better doctors out there, I am going to contact The CEO of UCI and make a formal complaint.

Dr. Idriss has treated my daughter for several months for thyroid issues. We travel a long distance to his office to be seen. We were late approximately 6 minutes. I called the office ahead of time to inform them we were in parking lot. The receptionist said it was ok because we had a 15 minute Grace. He refused to see her because he states we were 11 minutes late. I understand doctors & their time frames. But really! Prior visits were ok.Extremely disappointed in him! Maybe a bad morning? Amazing doctor! I moved here from out of state and was looking for a doctor who can help me manage my diabetes. Dr. Idris is thorough and extremely helpful. Five stars all the way ???????? ???? ???? ????

Dr. Idriss has gone above and beyond with the care of my wife. My wife has had 5 brain surgeries and has a complex medical history that requires frequent communication and testing with an endocrinologist. Dr. Idriss possesses great bedside manner and expertise. I highly recommend him!

First off, you can't judge a doctor based off of the incompetency of the front office staff members. If that's the case, over 80% of the doctors would have 1 star (not that I had a bad interaction with the UCI receptionists, they were all kind). Anyways, I've seen Dr. Idriss twice now and he's very professional, genuine and an easy-going doctor. He was taking notes on everything I said and were asking numerous questions regarding my medical issues. I highly recommend Dr. Idriss as he is one of the best doctors I've seen. One of the best Endocrinologists , He is a detail oriented, Very Passionate, Friendly and Extremely helpful, He listen to every issue and take it very serious and do his best to help his patients, Recommend him highly.

Stay away from this Dr’s Office!!!! I am a newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic I made and appointment and saw the Dr on the 22 He is extremely nice but his staff are beyond incompetent and uncaring!!! I was prescribed a medicine I was to immediately start on the 22 I went tj the pharmacy to get it ab was told it need a prior authorization and they sent it to Dr Idriss to get one I waited until Friday the 25 to call and ask what happened to my RX I was told Dr Idriss was not in the office that day and they would send him an urgent email to contact me I never heard back from the Dr Monday a girl from his office who did not identify herself called me and told me my insurance refused authorization and I was now to take a drug the Dr told me would be very bad for me to take because I have IBS and it gives severed gastrointestinal side effects I told this to the girl who responded I will tell the De you refuse to take it and he will call you about it Never heard back from Dr Idriss Tuesday afternoon I called my insurance to ask why they refused my prior authorization and insisted I take Metformin which would get me very sick My insurance told me they NEVER got any prior authorization request from Dr Idriss!!! They can’t refuse what they never got! They told me the only thing they got was a blank form on the 28 I called Dr Idriss office and asked why did they tell me I had my authorization refused and was told to take Metformin when they never requested anything at all??? I also asked why Dr Idriss never called me??! It is now Wednesday night I have never heard from Dr Idriss or his office!!! It’s been 1 1/2 weeks I have no medication and no clue what to do to measure blood sugar etc!!! I am going to find and go to another Dr who actually cares about his patients!!!! Very nice, patient, and down to earth endocrinologist

Excellent doctor! Very attentive to detail, answers all questions, and never feel rushed. Very compassionate and caring. I would highly recommend Dr. Idriss. I don't think it's fair to give negative reviews to a physician because of his front office staff. When working in a hospital based clinic, you have very little say in staffing. With that said, I have only had a positive experience with his front office during my multiple appts. Great office! Excellent doctor! Incompetent office staff and Dr who fails to respond to urgent messages from patients!!!!

Go elsewhere. I was tested with low testosterone in the low 200s by my primary doctor and was referred to an endocrinologist. When I went to see the doctor, he wanted me to take another test. This costed me around $750. The test came out in the low 300s which is considered low T. However, the doctor felt that was normal for my age in which I was in my mid 30s. On another note, my friend was prescribe the TRT treatment where he was in his mid 30s. I don't recommend this doctor if you are looking for testosterone treatment. Go elsewhere. If there is a zero in the rating system, I would have given Dr. Idriss an UCI medical center a zero rating. Leave alone all other unpleasant experience and how rude the medical assistant in his office, I am concerned that they are holding my lab results I did on March 18, 2019. I called them on March 21st to request a hard copy, and they told me that they mailed it out on March 25th. But I haven't received it 8 days. I called them again, and they told me it could taken up the USPS 2 weeks to deliver a mail from Irvine to Long Beach. Ok, I am not sure where she got this idea from. And then I went to the UCIhealth my chart portal, I could see all my lab work from 2017 and 2018, but not the one I did in March 2019. I called the Dr. Idriss office again and ask why. They told me that because the department from my chart didn't link my results to my account, and that's why I didn't see my results, and they gave me a number to call to follow up with the mychart department. So I called the my chart department, and I was told that it was because the doctor's office didn't release the results, so there is nothing that they can do. I need to call the doctor's office again. The whole UCI medical system is a mess, and I couldn't see my lab work 3 weeks after I did all the tests. And everyone I talked to, I was told that there is nothing I can do, and that is not their problem. How frustrating! Very professional and a gentleman.

Excellent and caring doctor

I learned a lot at my first time appointment with Dr. Itriss. He reviewed my records, took a history, asked questions. I asked questions and I never felt rushed. I left feeling good about my appointment and with information I could use.

While Dr Idriss is nice and competent, his office staff is dismissive with terrible follow up. Estrella is the worst who talked to me with disrespect and rudeness. Stay away from this office.

Dr. Idriss is great. Now if only I could make an appointment! I've left three messages over the past week with NO RETURN CALL. Come on people! You're making Dr. I look bad. Get it together!

A responsible intelligent thorough doctor without crookedness of some??He is always mindful of his decisions and recommendations, a characteristic that is rare among physicians. I hope UCI keeps this one. (A little office problem like most other UCI offices administered by UCI, not by the doctors.)

He's one of the best doctors I've had the pleasure of working with.

I initially met with Dr. Idriss in order to seek a second opinion. I wasn't pleased with my previous endocrinologist. Right off the bat, Dr. Idriss correctly diagnosed my issue without reviewing records. He was patient (I literally had him review everything two or three times) and very knowledgeable. He took the time to educate me about my issue and devised ways to remedy the situation (unlike my other doctor). I would recommend Dr. Idriss to anyone in need of an endocrinologist.

Great bedside manner, extremely intelligent and knowledgeable. Very friendly however his Medical assistant was the complete opposite and I was not impressed with her at all.
