Dr Preimesberger is the best primary care physician I have seen in years. She is incredibly thoughtful and knowledgeable. She also really helps the patient consider many options and takes the time to talk through options with little pressure. I am so grateful to have found her!

From the beginning of our association, she established herself as highly competent and knowledgable family doctor, while acting as true medical/healthcare partner - rather than just another professional. She helped me traverse some complex aging/retirement issues, as well as routine healthcare events, always helping me to make important health decisions. Her patience and thoroughness were most appreciated; always taking the time to explain things in an understandable way, and always answering my questions. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate Dr. P. When I first met her I knew she was a keeper, she talks to you like a human - some say bedside manner but I think it goes beyond that. You can tell she genuinely cares and wants what’s best for you. She’s great at delivering all the facts when it comes to treatment and gives you a seat at the table when deciding what the best option for you is. I think that’s extremely important in a care provider - not just giving you a regimented plan but allowing you to be apart of the conversation in your health. I have had the great privilege of having Dr. Amanda Preimesberger as my physician for many, many years. In addition to being a skilled physician, she is (without a doubt) the most concerned and caring doctor I have ever known. Her commitment to her patients is truly commendable. The needs of her patients are always foremost in her thoughts, and she is always courteous and sensitive in every situation…and I say this without exaggeration. Dr Preimesberger listened to my concerns, explained options and spent plenty of time with me. I always leave her office impressed with her knowledge and with a better understanding of my health.

Dr. Preimesberger has been my primary health care provider now for several years and she and her staff are the very best. She is very knowledgeable, very thorough but most importantly she sincerely cares about her patients. SSMHealth is fortunate to have physicians, like Doctor Preimesberger as part of their team.

I met Dr. Preimesberger when I was 32 weeks pregnant with my first child. My doctor at the time was no longer practicing OB so referred me to Dr. P. She was no longer taking more patients, but took me on and fit me in her schedule for all my appointments no problem. I honestly can say I felt comfortable with her the day I met her. She was so knowledgeable, comforting and would never make me feel rushed. She always listened to me with the pain and discomforts I was feeling and truly went above and beyond for me, along with her nurses. I had my son very quickly so unfortunately she wasn't able to be there (literally parked our car in the parking ramp at St. Mary's and was holding him nine minutes later), but she made sure to come see me and my son that next morning to check in on us. She was very apologetic that she wasn't able to be there, but what was meant to happen, happened :) Dr. Preimesberger was supposed to only be my OB for a few weeks, but I ended up switching because I was so happy and comfortable with her and made her my primary doctor. She wasn't taking on more patients, so the fact that she managed to take me on, really shows how much she cares for her patients. I wish I could still be a client of hers; however, our insurance switched 2+ years ago. If you're reading this and considering switching to Dr. Preimesberger, I would absolutely recommend her. Made derogatory comments about my appearance during a physical that were irrelevant & seemingly only said to make me feel bad. When I inquired about a painful pap given to me by the NPR working w/her & how her NPR said, verbatim, "some people, like you, are just weird; I don't know why you experience pain," rather than look into the cause or explain why I suddenly had pain, Amanda backed up her ignorant colleague. I switched drs! & discovered I have endometriosis & need surgery. No thanks to her

Dr. Preimesberger is very knowledgeable and helpful. I've been a patient for multiple years, and do not want to change for any reason!
