I saw Dr. Arndt for the first time a few days ago, I was dealing with a fairly acute case of insomnia. Dr. Arndt picked my brain, and we talked about the many factors that could be contributing to my issues with sleep and elevated blood pressure. He did not treat me as a number or judge me, but offered sympathy, understanding, and a course of action that I was comfortable with. I'm very resistant to using medications, but he explained how this med could assist me in getting back to a healthy sleep pattern, the potential side-effects (minimum, thankfully) and I left his office excited to have a viable solution. Sure enough, the last two nights I've actually slept and feel so much better! The 2 negative reviews here that I read before going to see him almost dissuaded me from going to him, so I wanted to add my experience. If I could give this doctor a negative rating I would.. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. I made an appointment a few years ago for pain in a very delicate place.. For some reason the doctor I normally saw wasn't willing to see me, probably because I had been in 2 or 3 times before, and they couldn't give me any answers. I was practically crying in pain talking to him, and trying to tell him what was going on, I hypothesized what it could possibly be, and he cut me off mid sentence, actually screaming at me and said "SO WHAT IF IT IS?!" Then proceeded to tell me that I should go for a walk, because the weather was nice. I can't imagine if a woman were to have come in with a similar complaint, he would behave that way. He yelled at me, condescended to me, and dismissed my concerns about my health.. If a woman came in with vaginal pain, and the doctor said "SO WHAT? GO FOR A WALK." He'd lose his license be sued for discrimination. Just shows that contrary to popular belief, nobody cares about men's health. He finally referred me to a urologist after making me feel like I was wasting his time by having the nerve to have something wrong with me. Five years later and the issue still persists, after years of searching for answers, lots of different doctors.. but this sorry excuse for a doctor is the only one who treated me as if I wasn't even human. Do not go to this man.. Worst doctor I've ever been too. Who in God's name made this douche the director of a clinic? If I could give this doctor a negative rating I would..
