I’ve been having throat pain and chest pain so I took matters into my own hands after my primary doctor brushed it off and went to see this doctor and he actually gave me an endoscopy the following week. I highly recommend. The office is usually busy but the receptionist is always willing to put you in on a cancellation.

Dr. Amit is the best of the best. Will definitely recommend him to all my friends and family that are in need of a GI DR. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

According to the Affordable Care Act’s expanded coverage of preventive services, including coverage for screenings for colon rectal cancer without charging patients anything out-of-pocket if they're between ages 50 and 75. I was 63 years of age and should not have been charged for colonoscopy services conducted on March 15, 2018. I paid a deductible charge of $999.96 at the date of service as agreed to by. Under the law, PHS Act section 2713 and the interim final regulations 75 FR 41726 (July 19, 2010), preventive services are covered at no cost by insurers. There should have been no charge to the patient for the colonoscopy , even if a benign growth called a polyp is found and removed. Now I am in receipt of collection letter from CMRE (collection agency representing McNeal Hospital) demanding an additional payment of $2,269.33 for the colonoscopy procedure conducted on March 15, 2018. If Dr. Srivastava would have explained to me that it was a diagnostic procedure with cost, and not just a routine followup, I would not have proceeded.

Trying to get a hold of someone in this office is a production in itself!
