For years, I thought Dr. Truitt was the best until she wasn't. Why would you basically torture your patients because they needed to see someone else while you were out? I had a surgery scheduled and was told she was out and would call upon her return. No, another Dr couldn't help me. No, they didn't know know when she would be back. Another dr in the office prescribed the same meds she had me on at higher does to help with issues, yet she denied refill, saying I should talk to other dr. I'm still waiting for her to call that she is back. I guess she doesn't take that do no harm to others very seriously. She has put me through a week of harm

I have had Dr. Amy Truitt as my GYN Doctor for many years. I have loved her for this type of Doctor & I hope & pray that she will continue to stay on as a Ochsner Doctor for many many years to come.

Dr. Truitt is very professional and down to earth. She did an excellent job with my section and postpartum care!

Dr. Truitt has been wonderfully kind and knowledgeable. She has a fantastic bedside manner and does not belittle her patients. I've definitely recommended her to my friends.

Dr. Truitt is absolutely amazing. I’ve been seeing her for about 8 years now. She takes her time and thoroughly explains things. I always feel comfortable when I have appointments with her. Her staff is amazing. One of the best physicians and I’m honored to be a patient of hers.

Waited for over an hour to be seen. No one came in to check on me. I actually hopped down from the table (naked in that robe) and poked my head out the door to find assistance. I was furious!

I love Dr. Truitt. I have been going to her for many years, she's an excellent and caring doctor.

Dr. Truitt was the on call doctor in the ED and took over my care. She performed my emergency surgery and delivered excellent care. She was very receptive to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. Even the post op appointment she answered all of my concerns about the future. She was great !!

Dr Truitt is a patient and caring doctor. She takes her time to listen to your concerns, then takes her time to make sure you und her explanations to your medical issues. She also delivered my son five years ago via c section and I am very thankful to have had her at that special time in our lives.

Dr. Truitt delivered me last February, and I'm very, very grateful to her! I think I am a troublesome pregnant woman, but she always treats me with special care and patience, and she always smiles when I see her, which makes me feel very warm. She is very professional, very nice, worthy of trust!

Dr. Truitt is a phenomenal Dr. She's very attentive, empathetic, and very approachable and relatable to her patients. She delivered both of my kids and worked very diligent to ensure I was able to have a v birth. Most doctors under the circumstances would have opted for a cesarean section to make their job easier. She always put the welfare of her patients first and foremost, but still consider her patients concerns and feelings at the same time. Words don't describe how fantastic her and her team of nurses are. I absolutely have so much gratitude and respect for them all.
