I love the staff and Ms. Ferrer is the best of best dentists in town...

I was referred to this dentist. I'm in the South so sometimes I know what to expect. She rushed over my exam and was also behind. Sometimes people fall behind and that's fine but what really upset me is how I was treated at my last appointment. I waited a whole hour to be examined by the doctor. When she came in; she did a check and informed me that she saw nothing. When I tried to talk to her about a cleaning, she brushed me off quickly and told me that I needed to talk to the front office about payment for that. I waited and nothing. Honestly, I didn't know whether to wait in the chair or just go out front and ask what was going on. Once I got out of my chair and went up there, I asked one of the receptionist was there a problem. I also informed her that I was very irritated that I was rushed over. She literally downplayed everything that I said and didn't hear anything I said pertaining to how I was treated. This is the older lady that sits at the front desk the younger one is usually nice. Another thing that always bothered me is the lack of diversity. There is no one in there that resembles America except for the dentist who is Hispanic. Nothing wrong with that at all but you would think she would hire staff that is not only fair skin. I would suggest you go elsewhere if you want a little compassion, more friendliness, more diversity oh, and not to have your concerns overlooked. If you make an appointment to see Dr. Ferrer for a six month checkup, you need to ask “will Dr. Ferrer be in that day?” Yes, you heard me right - she is often not there and they want you to come back to see her another day. This has happened to both me and my husband. Also, I had a crown put on that wasn’t tall enough, didn’t reach my gum, so that three years later, it broke, fell out and I had a cavity underneath. Insurance won’t pay for the second crown. Dr. Ferrer won’t pay - says I should have come back. I DID complain and they said it was fine. $634 out of pocket. I don’t recommend her, although my husband has had no problem with her dental work. Also, they seem much more concerned with money than dental work.
